CanadaQuestion? RFE- Certification of Good Conduct

Hi All, Question for you. I am a Canadian citizen, came to the US On a Fiancee Visa and started the adjustment of status process last August.
Case was transferred to CSC in September 2006. Since then I went on 3 seperate occassions for biometrics. I received a letter last week for RFE stating:
'' The applicants fingerprints have been twice rejected as''illegible''. Additional evidence is required in order to continue processing the adjustment of status application. The applicant has submitted a Canadian Police Certificate issued by the RCMP. Therefore, please provide a letter issued by the local law enforcement agency ( county sherriff's office or local police department) indicating the applicant has '' no criminial record''. The Record search should include all names the applicant has used in the past. A seperate letter is required for each law enforcement district in which applicant has resided in the past 5 years,

Do you think I need to have a separate letter from the local authorities in Canada above and beyhod the RCMP letter OR do they just want a letter from the local police here in the US, since I have been here ( about a year) :help: . I am so confused. HELP! This process is drving me crazy.....

It would seem that they want both a letter from the locals in Canada, such as Niagara Regional Police, or whatever department has juristiction over where you have lived in Canada for the last 5 years. Because they want 5 years of coverage you should include whereever you have lived since arriving in the States. Good luck.

Canadahi....remember me?
We crossed last weekend with just my wife's passport with an I-551 stamp and had absolutly no problem. With everything that you have you should have no issue at all. :)

Congratulation...The 'gentlemen' at the Lewiston-Queenston bridge are usually the hardest to deal with. If you go back for a visit I would suggest crossing at Rainbow. Both Canadian and US sides seemed to be easier to 'get along with'. Welcome home :)

Canadagreencard holder visiting Canda
I am not sure about the whole month, but my wife (Greencard holder) and I go to Canada regularly. We never have any issues at all, going in or back. We do this probably 1-2 weekends a month and stay for the weekend with friends.

Well the Sens got ride of some baggage, though I am not real sure why the Leafs need Gerber...Something must be in the works, maybe a package.

Unrelated to the trade deadline, but still hockey related none the less. I have the absolute worst luck in buying hockey sweaters. First one I got, Was a Detroit Red Wings sweater with 24 and Probert name on it for my birthday in 1993. Next year, he signed with the Blackhawks. The next year for x-mas, I had begged my parents for years for a Nordiques sweater. They got me one for X-mas in 1994, and then they transformed into the Avalanche. Several years later, I decided to get myself one for the LA Kings. I had season tickets and was a huge fan. My favorite player was Adam Deadmarsh. I shelled out the $291 for the official jersey, and then he gets a concussion 2 months later and career done.

Do me a favor, don't become a fan of the Sens.... laughing.gif

Don Cherry seems to be putting designer ties on a little tight lately, but as far as his opinion of Spezza. He has always been critical of Spezza. He always wants more out of him. Maybe a change in location can bring it out. Just an opinion.

As a Sens fan in Sabres country this year has been rough....The is rumors of Spezza going somewhere, as a Sens fan, I would give up Spezza for Bouwmeester.

You are supposed to carry that card and present it if asked as proof of legal residency. That could have gotten ugly, you were somewhat lucky. As far as the note, that is your copy, he was just reminding you that you need to carry it.

Removing Conditions on Residency General DiscussionImmigration Attorney for I751 ??
We will be filing our I-751 in about 2 months. We have not talked to any attorneys up this point in our journey and see no reason to start now. That is us, everyone is different. If you read the guides and take your time, double and triple check everything, you should be ok. Just take your time, it is too important to rush through. Just my humble opinion. whistling.gif
