Today I called the NVC and they told me they just put us in the computer system yesterday. She said we should get emails sometime soon. Have you received your case # and IIN #? And provided them your email addresses? We were approved on 12/12 and NVC received it today but does not have a case number yet. K-3 Spouse Visa Process & Procedures	When will i have to leave?	Positive. No one gets K-3s anymore. It's obsolete. The poster you refer to in the link never confirmed it was actually a K-3 he/she got. I suspect it was a CR-1/IR-1. The validity on the visa after approval is 6 months . What I find interesting is that everyone says the K3 is obselete,but I have had 3 separate appointments with 3 separate immigration officers over the last 4 months with the most recent 3 weeks ago and all 3 instructed me to petition for a K3 visa. K-3 Spouse Visa Process & Procedures	submission of photos and phone records	hello everyone! Just need a little assistance here! I will be submitting a I-130 with the intention of K3. I had gone to immigration yesterday just to have my packet looked over and make sure everything that was needed was included. I was told by the immigration officer that I did not need to include any phone records, pics, emails etc at this time . I do have a letter from my bank listing my husband as beneficary to my account so I am not sure if that is why he told me I didnt need any sworn affidavid. US Embassy and Consulate Discussion	what does the embassy keep?	In our case we took the originals (marked originals -return) and a set of copies-,marked keep. The embassy kept both sets!!!!! They told my husband after her requested them to return them, the originals would be returned to us via postal service when the file was returned to the US! Its been over 6 months and no originals!!!
