QUOTE (Starlight95 @ Jul 27 2009, 10:36 PM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}>
Hello folks,

For some reason when you click on the VJ website under processing time for CSC it shows Feb 19, 2009 as the date for K-1. But, when you actually go on the website for USCIS https://egov.uscis.g...EOpHt4ObEk1m-ks it states 5 months. I am sure the USCIS is more accurate. I don't know why the VJ processing time for CSC is incorrect. Anyone know what is going on?

Here is says April 15th. It is updated daily at midnight.

I didn't mean to make you feel bad. Hey, why close it. Your right is as you think it is. Anyways, I'll just stay out for now.

Thank you. I apologize for calling you rude, I misinterpreted your post.

Oh wow, give us a break... Sorry I know it can frustrate you but last months VSC was like doing nothing. And CSC was going crazy on approvals.. Now it's our turn and it's all bad now. You have been waiting for 1 month an 28 days according to your timeline? I have been waiting for almost 6 months now and there are people here that have been waiting for what? 8-10 months even a year? Excuse me for getting pissed at these things. =X

I have been reading all these CSC approvals (march, may, april, even june and july), day in day out. Do you hear me say anything about it? No because it is just the way it is. Deal with it.

Maybe I am interpreting your timeline wrong, but how have you been waiting 6 months when your NO1 is from March 16? That's 4 and half right? Or am I missing something?

I think that most of the posters on this thread have misinterpreted my meaning........I didn't realize I wasn't allowed to have an opinion on processing times until I have been waiting a set amount of time.

Can a mod please close this thread?

I understand that the VSC people are frustrated by their wait time, I would be too. But there is no excuse to be rude. I was simply making an observation about the output for each and conjecturing on the possible correlation between the two. I never mentioned my petition or wait time in the topic at all.

Thank you for the clarification on the size of the facilities, I did not know that.

According to this tracker, VSC did more NOA2s this week than CSC:

http://cse.ssl.berke...data/stats.aspx

So what? For how many weeks CSC did much more than VSC?

I do understand that everyone wants to get their approval as soon as possible, but the fact is that CSC is well ahead of VSC no matter how you cut it.

VSC has processed more petitions than CSC for 13 of the past 20 weeks according to the data.

Of course, I agree with you. But OP, after not even 2 months since their NOA1 complains about VSC's "huge jump" this week. There is still a significant number of February filers and about 90% of March filers at VSC, who did not get their approvals despite that "jump".

What "complaint" are you talking about. I was just making an observation that 8 from CSC compared to the 43 last week is a huge jump as well as the 21 this week from last week's 4 at VSC. Is that not allowed?

There was such a huge jump between the production of approvals between CSC and VSC this week! I sure hope they didn't send over some VSC petitions to California......I was starting to be hopeful they were speeding up a bit, but now it seems like a two week fluke.... crying.gif

QUOTE (Stephen + Elisha @ Aug 1 2009, 06:34 PM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}>
With all of the recent approvals at VSC, I scrolled down to check my position on Igor's List. Boy, was I in for a shock!

We had steadily been moving upward from around 260 or so... 255... 253... Then today, 214!

I also noticed that the new position is much closer to the Berkeley list, whereas up until today the disparity between the two was about 90.

Has anyone else noticed a big jump like this on Igor's List? Any idea whether it has to do with the beginning of a new month or getting closer to adjudication time? Either way, I'm excited! ^^

I believe Capt. Ewok occasionally goes in and weeds out any inactive members and doubled up timelines. This may have just been done which would have explained your jump. Congrats. You're one leap forward!

I've read that some VJ members were sending documents if they notice that they missed something in initial application. Just send them a letter explaining why and it should be ok.

You could try it, but it is very likely your file will never be matched up with the correction and you will still get an RFE.

Congrats to the lucky few who were approved in such a short time. It seems though that VSC is intentionally pulling some cases to push their stats forward. If you average all the cases they approve one August approval can really make it seem like they are getting much farther ahead, all the while the poor February, March and April filers are being skipped....

Everones ideas are awesome...but when you separate from each other...buy tons of Kleenex. I was never a crier. Cried once a year...when we have to say goodbye it's just awful. When I had to come from seeing him for 9 days in Paris....I cried the whole 9 hour flight. The guy next to me probably thought I was nuts! Some days are ok...me I'm just empty without him here. He spent 89 days with me this past summer! It was awesome. But the goodbye was tough once again. I just feel lost alllllll the time. we chat on gmail...email each other..talk about 2 hours or mord a day. I work full time so with the time difference we talk as much as we can. Also do skype once a week... Wish it was more. Just keep busy...cuz it makes the time go by faster. I'm not going to sugarcoat anything. It just sucks being apart! Good luck

I cry on the flights too. In fact, my fiance and I decided against another visit (among other reasons) between the NOA1 and the interview because the good bye is so horrible. Its a bit easier to get used to the idea and take it day by day then to say goodbye and have about a month of just feeling sad and horrible.....

Skype is the best thing ever in this situation. Seriously. It is free to download, free to instant message and free to webcam from computer to computer. You can even buy credit if you want and call an actual phone.

My fiance and I have talked/written everyday since the day we met. I think that communication is very important. Also I try to make sure that I do not get upset about things when I might have misunderstand the intent behind what is said. Voice inflection means alot, and when you are reading what is said it changes things. I make sure to clarify anything I am not sure about.

The police report the regular mailing method takes 2 weeks, almost to the day. You should have plenty of time to get it back before you get packet 3.

Just hound him until it's done. lol

Congrats!!

Well technically you don't absolutely need the police report until the interview. I believe you only need to mail in the 3 or 4 forms they give you links too as well as the checklist, but all of the documents like the police report you bring with you to the interview.

Please correct me if I am wrong.

Ergh. I certainly don't think that is fair to pull certain countries....I personally would rather wait a little longer in London to get an appointment than to be stuck in AP. Just for the mental fact that it is one step closer for the paperwork to actually be in the UK.

I know this is probably an old issue, but how is it that NVC can have no timeline for AP. Its like being stuck in Narnia and not knowing when you will return.

Still waiting on our NOA2 as well. Last touched June 17th. Getting a bit anxious because I would love to have her here for Thanksgiving to introduce her to my whole family. We shall see though.

I would reread the average timelines. It will take around 20 days between NOA2 and the consulate receiving it and then for Canada an average of 88 more days for the interview assuming all goes right. So if you were approved today those estimates would put your total visa approval in January.

Good luck in your journey. I hope it goes quickly for you.

Presumptuous? Not really... Following the current VJ estimate puts the NOA2 around Sept 23rd or 24th. The 15th is only 8-9 days before that. It would not be stretch to estimate a little if the agent in question recognized that the volume of new apps was lower in late june/july/early august. Or perhaps they added new staff recently to get through things quicker? That might explain the speed gain of a week or so.

Sept 15th seems close enough to other estimates to be plausible though. Either way it appears that the CSC is getting through apps relatively quickly these days. Which is good for all of us.

I didn't mean that it wasn't possible, it just seems so unlike USCIS to give out a date like that, especially earlier than the projected dates. Usually they would want to cover themselves and give a longer date.

guys my question is----which one is more reliable???IGOR'S LIST OR VJ TIMELINE??? just something to talk about here...

goodluck to us all June filers...

They are the exact same timelines as far as I know based on actual date from the member timelines here. However, I have noticed that the VJ timeline is often updated a bit sooner (typically just within a few hours). Also the Igor's list is based on the date you sent the packet it, while the VJ is based on NOA1 date. In addition, Igor's list only lists people who are within the CSC timeframe. The VJ timeline shows people from a bit further back in time who have not yet been approved.

All I can think about now is meeting my sweetie in Thailand for a much needed holiday! Less than tree weeks from now!!!!

I will think about the next 3 or 4 month wait when we leave each other in Bangkok. I am sure I will need to get back to Ho Chi Minh City before her interview, but we will worry about that later.

You are #47 because you have on your timeline that you mailed the packet in April. The one timeline goes by date sent and not NOA1. You would most likely be around #160 on that timeline based on your NOA1 date.

BTW, it seems odd it took so long for them to process that NOA1, do you know what happened there?
