They are pretty pissed off at us but what can we do? blush.gif Sometimes VSC goes faster and the CSC group gets mad at them and vice versa. I'm amazed that of all Sept filers about 48% on VJ have been approved already. Big spike this week!

what are you newly approved filers doing smile.gif ?

Getting ready for the Embassy paperwork! lol. I don't want to waste one min, I haven't seen my man in a year.

Just curious for those late Sept people who just got approved, how did you send in your petition, did you overnight it or send it via regular mail to the post office box? Also, were you comfortable with how you organized your petition before you sent it in? I was just wondering if these two factors had anything to do with us getting approved early rather than later. I overnighted mine and was extremely organized with our petition. I had acco fastners, tabs and the whole nine yards. Of course, it could be considered random in that case I'll consider myself lucky! kicking.gif

Yeah I'm in the over a year boat. Well in two days it'll be a year since I last left to go see him in India cray5ol.gif But I'm trying not to focus on the sadness but instead focus on the fact that he could be here in less than 6 months if all goes well with the approval etc. I feel that we have been through so much this past year but if we can get through this than we can get through anything and that makes our relationship stronger.

I am still Jet-lagged from the Philippines. Still not sleeping well - need more Alcohal I guess. Any more Sept approvals? This thread is sooooooooooo quiet, I expected it would pick up with some approvals, but it hasnt - seems we dont have many Sept filers on here.

Well just for a laugh, I saw this and thought you guys might enjoy.

Several men are in the locker room of a golf club. A cell phone on a bench rings and a man engages the hands free speaker-function and begins to talk.

MAN: "Hello"

WOMAN: "Honey, it's me. Are you at the club?"

MAN: "Yes"

WOMAN: "I am at the mall now and found this beautiful leather coat. It's only $1,000. Is it OK if I buy it?"

MAN: "Sure, ...go ahead if you like it that much."

WOMAN: "I also stopped by the Mercedes dealership and saw the new 2009 models. I saw one I really liked."

MAN: "How much?"

WOMAN: "$72,000"

MAN: "OK, but for that price I want it with all the options."

WOMAN: "Great! Oh, and one more thing....the house we wanted last year is back on the market. They're asking $950,000."

MAN: "Well, then go ahead and give them an offer, but just offer $900,000."

WOMAN: "OK. I'll see you later! I love you!"

MAN: "Bye, I love you, too."

The man hangs up. The other men in the locker room are looking at him in astonishment. Then he asks: "Anyone know who this phone belongs to?"

Karri,

You seem so optimistic! It's great...I read your posts and now I'm starting to get my hopes up! I just feel like because our(my fiance and I) case is for Ukraine it'll take us longer to get the NOA2. The Ukraine NOA2s seem to take awhile longer (like 160 days) compared to these couples getting o'k 115 days in. I guess we just have to hope for the best. Have a Happy New Year!

hehe. Thank you, I don't think anyone's said I've been optimistic before. =) The way I see it is Sam and I are meant to be together so everything will fall in to place when the time is right. =) Also, it's important to have a back up plan (which I have) in case something goes wrong and the K-1 is denied. Hi guys, I went to my church Christmas party tonight. It was held at a lodge (church owned) in the woods, kinda secluded. It's a nice place, I want to have my wedding reception there. You know, where to setup tables, how to decorate etc, where the dance floor will be. kicking.gif The only way I can get it is if we can get married before June as that's when the big camping season starts there. I just want to share something. Last Friday, I watched the movie, "Twilight". Well, the simplicity and clear picturesque of the movie fascinate me. For me, the movie is really romantic in any sense of it.

After I watched and have a thought of it. I realize that it isn't far from the situation that I have right now and maybe most of VJ'ers too. Lovers living in a different world with different acceptance. The man could survive to live in the word of his mortal lover, just to be with her, but it will give risk to his life and the woman he loves. On the other hand, the woman could definitely adapt and survive in the world of the man she loves. But even though, there are so many hindrances that go between them, which makes them being together hard to achieve but could be.

Living in different part of the world is one of the greatest hindrances that goes between us and the person we love. It can be overcome by having understanding, patience, unconditional love, and faith.

Am I being so mushy? laughing.gif I just miss my Bebe ko so much! Please bear with me. tongue.gif

I just watched Twilight with my friend tonight. I'm not really into Vampire -esque movies but this movie was amazing and exceeded all of my expectations! The romance, the sexual tension, it was amazing. I left with warm fuzzies hehe. Now I want to read those books!

I have been studying Tagalog. Everyone from the Philippines tells me it is easy, but I think that is because THEY ARE FROM THE PHILIPPINES!!!!!!!!!!! I generally learn quickly, but other languages is not my strong suit. I studied Spanish 3 years in High School - that helps with my tagalog, but I couldnt really carry on a conversation in Spanish, but I can read about 60% so it also helps when I travel to Mexico.
I have been trying to learn Japanese for about 14 years (OK, not trying real hard, but trying). I still have a limited vocabulary. Now I am using Rosetta Stone for the Tagalog. I am already up to unit 4 in the first level, so I am supprised how much I have learned. The problem is, when I see it, or hear it, I basically understand it, but I cant remember enough words to speak it so well yet and when the sentence is not one that I know, I dont know the proper sentence structure yet.
But if anyone is trying to learn a language, I think Rosetta Stone is the most effective way I have ever seen.
Last night, I was talking with my Fiancee and she asked me what I am drinking in tagalog, I just answered - I knew what she said. So PROGRESS!!!!!!!! haha
I have been skipping the typing sections on Rosetta stone, so maybe writing the words will help me to remember them better. Funny, but even when I remember the words, I realize I can spell worth a #### in tagalog either. Who knew spelling would be such a problem.

Well I got about 34 days before I go back to the philippines, so I hope my skills improve significantly before then. I have only had the course for about a month, so maybe I can finish all of unit 1 before I go.

Spanish, Japanese, Tagalog! You got your hands full. I myself have studied 3 years of Spanish in HS, and 1 year French, also did two semesters of Spanish in College and one semester of Japanese. I stunk at Japanese But I did travel there in 1997 and do remember what I learned from that trip. I suggest you make flash cards. That's the way I like to learn new words or letters. Although I can speak basic Spanish and a few phrases in other languages right now my primary target is operation Hindi! Sam will teach me more once he's here but I do have a collection of materials, books etc that I've gathered to learn. Good luck in your studies!
