ours is dated 2008 - 03 - 05

On the application for removal of conditions there should be a place for "other names used". Put these there to clarify.

Removing Conditions on Residency General DiscussionThe Ever Popular How is My Evidence?

Do you have wills? Medical or general Powers of Attorney?

No wills or power of attorney.

Life insurance or 401k accounts, IRA! good luck.

I have life insurance and he is my beneficiary. No 401K accounts. I am a part of State Teachers Retirement for Ohio but I cannot seem to figure out how to (or it if is possible) to add a beneficiary without being of retirement age.

Removing Conditions on Residency General DiscussionThe Ever Popular How is My Evidence?
Hi,

Just want to get opinions and suggestions. Going to file ROC in July for my husband. Here is what we have. We live with my mom so no bills or contract and he doesn't drive so no mutual insurance.

Bank letter and statements from joint account, 2010-present

Affidavit from mom stating we live in her house together, paying this much in rent, etc.

Affidavit from friend about relationship

Pictures of Disney and Williamsburg vacations together as family

Other general pictures together

Proof from Disney vacation together-boarding passes, etc.

Husband beneficiary on my life insurance

Credit cards together (gas cards, Visa)

Health insurance plan cards and statements together (2 different plans over the course of the two years)

Health savings account plan cards

Taxes transcripts 2010, 2011

Driver's license'/state id with mutual address

Letters addressed to both of us

His medical bills I signed off for

Also, just a general question. Our joint debit cards for the checking account don't have the same numbers although they are for the same account (they got switched one one was compromised online and the bank sent a new one to him). Do we show these?

Your NOA1 is your extension letter. Right now it seems Vermont is at 5 days from receipt to sending out NOA1.

I wouldn't want them to wonder why in the heck did they send this to us? It wastes their time, and if I am being adjudicated I want to make it as easy as possible for them. Boom, boom, boom approved!

Removing Conditions on Residency General DiscussionNames don't match
Okay, so just finishing going through paperwork. We have a sufficient amount of financials and all of that. We were going to send letters sent to us as a couple as a supplement. I go by a hyphenated last name (mine and his) and my husband by his own last name. On Facebook my husband also goes by the hyphenated name as well so we match (he is thinking of hyphenating his name too, but it is a longer process). And of course with a hyphenated last name you have people who just don't get that it is my actual name and despite seeing the hyphenation refer to me as only my husband's last name.

Ex:
Me-Mrs. Smith-Jones
Him- Mr. Jones (informally Smith-Jones)

Letters include, Mr and Mrs. Smith-Jones, Mr and Mrs. Jones and Mr. Jones and Mrs. Smith-Jones.

So long story short, we have lots of mail but some of the names don't match up from personal letters. Didn't really bother us as people got used to the name, but officially it isn't correct. Should we send these anyway as proof of common residence and friends?

Removing Conditions on Residency General Discussioncannot add case number to case portfolio

I am trying to add my receipt number to my case portfolio on uscis, but it won't let me add it. It says it's invalid receipt number. This is the NOA1 I received last week for ROC.

Anyone experienced this? How to resolve this?

You have to wait for the number you get for Biometrics to track it.

Tax transcripts have your social security number on them, that should be proof enough for them that it is you and not someone else with a similar name, lol. You should be ok.

No need to notarize(although if you want peace of mind most banks will do it free for customers). There are also nice example letters in the example forms section at the top.

Removing Conditions on Residency General DiscussionProcessing time?
Your NOA1 extends the greencard for one year.

If I send my wife's paperwork for the roc as early as I can within the 90 day window, how long does it normally take to process and for my wife to get her new green card? My wife's green card expires in February and we are wanting to go back to Indonesia in May since airfare is the cheapest we've seen before if we book now or ASAP.

You can file 90 days before the February expiration and then you have an extension of one year. The current filing time is slowing to a crawl of more than 6 months to process the whole application.

Hopefully filing a citizenship application will bump your application along. However I really would be going after your congressmen at this point. Have you called for a status? Is it possible you missed a notice for it?

Removing Conditions on Residency General DiscussionFile I-751 on myself after divorce an abusive spouse

The release agreement he wants me to sign states that "by signing this, we end all litigation between us due to the divorce including the Affidavit of Support issue I -841. "
"This agreement ends all litigation in between us."

I think that does not hurt my I-751 waver? Since I have police report, personal protection order, his criminal sentencing, judge ordered him that he can not contact me , mediation agreement, divorce judgement, women's shelter letter, three therapists reports, one full psychologic assessment, and pre-nup before our marriage to prove the marriage was in good faith, our marital counseling records, joint account, and pictures and so on?

Will that be enough of evidences for Filing i- 751 waver?

Wouldn't a pre nup give more of an impression that you were planning on getting divorced (not saying you did, I am just saying home it may appear).

Regardless there is very little chance anyone would have to pay anything or get sued for back payment even if you did use benefits.

You can partially cross out some bank details. The affidavits are used mostly if you are short on evidence in other areas, they won't slow you down. When you apply for ROC you get a letter extending your greencard one year, bring that on your trip with the expired green card.

Removing Conditions on Residency General DiscussionRequest for Evidence Help

I just received a request for evidence for my petition to remove conditions. I have no idea what to submit. I have already submitted copies of bank statements showing a joint account, copies of joint credit cards, copies of our insurance policies, and letters from people saying that they know we are legitimately married. Also a copy of a rent agreement we had when we were living in my husband's country. The problem we have is that we don't own anything and the apartment we live in is owned by my parents and there is no formal agreement. I was thinking I could ask my parents to make up a formal rent agreement, but I have no idea what else I could submit. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

They aren't just asking for random stuff in the RFE. What did they specifically ask for? A good ROC application would have joint bank statements spanning the course of your residency, copies of joint bills/credit cards spanning your residency, insurance policies, ID's with same addresses, boarding passes for trips for both of you, pictures, joint tax returns for all years of residency, lease/rental agreement/contracts that you made jointly, mail addressed to both of you, statements from people who know you and your relationship, birth certificates of any children together, etc.

Removing Conditions on Residency General DiscussionRFE questions

So 2 weeks ago I got a RFE. My wife doesn't work . She goes to college. I work and study. We are really low middle class couple. I have not done this years tax returns cuz I'm waiting for my college loan tax thing so I can get more out of my taxes.

Is Sending a state ID of my wife with her last name changed to mine good?
My wife is 4 months pregnant. Ultrasounds good for them?
A lease in which my family, my wife and I are on it good?
Recent credit card statement showing both our names?

I already sent 2 years tax returns. Life insurance showing her as the beneficiary. Utility bills. Bank statement. 2 letters from people that known us way back.
We have pics but didn't send them cuz we think is irrelevant.

My mom helped me get a car so insurance is on her name and my name. I'm currently teaching my wife how to drive so no insurance card for her yet lol.

We are a young happy couple soon to be a family of 3 and hoping to get our own place soon.
Any advice recommendations critics will be greatly appreciated. Thank you

What did the RFE say specifically? The most important thing is taxes! ID's with same addresses are good, leases with both names, credit card statements for the length of your residency, pictures, boarding passes together, etc.
