National Visa Center (Dept of State)Any November approved NOA2 in NVC

I got my hard copy November 5th and still not received by NVC :(

Is there any one in the NVC process that got I-130 approved in November.

I have checked the timelines and have not seen any.

Thank you

I got my NOA2 on November 5th and my case was sent to the NVC on December 16th, and I was from the Texas center, so that goes to show how long it takes!

They said it arrived today and they were working on it right now and that I should start calling London after new years (He said Friday) I'm so damn happy and it made my Christmas!!

National Visa Center (Dept of State)NVC STILL not received case - NOA2 received Nov 5

Hey guys,

The Post Decision Activity Update by USCIS let's you know you have progressed  after receiving the NOA2 approval.

"On (Date)  we shipped this approved or re-affirmed case to the Department of State for visa processing. For more information, please contact them directly."

Our NOA2 was approved Nov 4th 2013.

The waiting gets frustrating but we all know it is worth being with our significant others.

Hopefully it is smooth sailing here on.

Best of luck guys!

Thanks for the support! Still heard nothing and it is VERY hard being away from the one you love most, but you just have to keep telling yourself that this is just a short wait and you have the rest of your lives together.. it's kinda harder for me because my Fiance is just 18 (I am 20) and she suffers from anxiety and depression so every little setback sets her off on a rant about how it's going to take years which in turn makes me sad too! Oh well I really do hope things start looking up for us all soon! Good luck everyone

No email to say it was shipped, my tracking information still says that it was approved and a letter was mailed November 5th and that it would be forwarded.

Still nothing today, I called the USCIS and they told me they can't do anything until it has been 30 days (which is Friday) and I should call back then if there's still no update, apparently they will contact the NVC about it if nothing happens.

My NOA2 says the same thing, forwarded to listed consulate rather than NVC! I'll call that number tomorrow to see if I can get anywhere, thanks for the help!

I called the USCIS # 800-375-5283.  I didn't get the answer from the first person I spoke to.  I read the NOA2 where it stated that our petition has been approved and forwarded to the listed consulate. Which REALLY confused me.  They put in a request for someone to call me back.  That person said that it was tracked back to TSC still waiting to be shipped.  I should call them back after Thanksgiving if I had not received information from NVC on case number.  As of today...no case number yet.

Do you mind me asking what number you called for the TSC?

We were approved on Nov. 14.  I called NVC on 22nd and they said they had not received it but I could call USCIS and find out when it left their office.  The young lady I spoke with told me, "They ship the day they are approved.  We don't hold them in our office."  SO...on the 26th when it was still not at NVC I called back to USCIS and asked again for a shipping number.  The wonderful person who took the time to look into it for me found that it is still sitting in TSC?  So heartbreaking!! We are very fortunate that the NOA1-NOA2 came a lot faster than expected and appreciate all the efforts that are being made to improve the process.  AHHH...the emotional aspect..the waiting game.

You are so right about them not realizing how much this affects people, both myself and my fiancee in Texas are so tired of waiting, we expected it to be done by the start of next year but this delay has kept us both just sitting around waiting.

We are in the same boat as you it sounds, ours was approved NOA2 on Nov. 4th, and we havent heard a word since then.

I have no idea what type of order they process them in, but it doesnt seem as though they do them in the order they were approved for NOA2.

Kinda wonder if the clean-up crew comes in at night and plays with them by throwing them into different receptacles from a distance ,then USCIS picks one receptacle the next morning to process  while all the others go back in a big pile so the clean-up crew can do it all over the next night. Just wish whoever is throwing ours, would hit the pile that gets processed!

I think that USCIS must forget that they are affecting so many peoples lives, or else they just dont care, or are incredibly understaffed, dont know which.

Just called the NVC AGAIN and still they haven't got me in the system, I got my hard copy of NOA2 on November the 5th and I went through the Texas center. Everytime I phone I get the usual "it can take up to 8 weeks" response..

National Visa Center (Dept of State)so tired of waiting

I have my case number since the 12 ..I was told that even if I send the ds-230 I still won't get and interview date until the nvc send the case to the embassy

This sucks! I remember you were ahead of me when yours got sent to the NVC, I got my case number on the 26th and my case was actually mailed out to the embassy the next day on the 27th!

CanadaAnxious about Primary Evidence needed for K1

You have PLENTY of evidence there, all I submitted was photographs (quite a lot), plane tickets, some receipts and cinema tickets, chat logs and it was approved, honestly you're worrying about nothing, you've got more than enough evidence there!

Hi Everyone!

*** Folks in the K1 forum suggested I repost this here to get Canadian-specific responses***

I have read many of the posts on this topic and I guess I just need a little extra reassurance regarding the "proof of having met in past two years" part of our I-129F application.

As a Canadian citizen who lives fairly close to my love, I have always travelled to the States by driving. This makes me nervous, since I don't have a lot of the primary documentation that the USCIS suggests. We have no boarding passes or flight receipts, no hotel receipts (always stayed with him or his family), no passport stamps, no lease agreement etc. etc.

Here is what I do have, and I am interested to hear opinions on whether or not it will satisfy an adjudicator/qualify as evidence:

1. Bank statements and credit card statements, showing purchases made in his hometown (highlighted).

2. Receipts for gas over a range of dates (these include my name and dates)

3. One dinner receipt

4. A parking receipt, showing date/time

5. Brochures from a visit we took to the local museum

6. Three photographs (one from August 2013, one from November 2013, and one with his mom)

7. A letter from me (signed and dated) explaining our situation and why we do not have flights/hotels/passport stamps.

I'm a little worried about the lack of photographs. We have been dating since August 2012, but my guy HATES photos, so we don't take many.

I'll also include some evidence of ongoing relationship, just to be safe (facebook logs, Skype logs, video chat screencaps).

What do you folks think?

IR-1 / CR-1 Spouse Visa Process & ProceduresTSC Type of RFE

We needed a consent form from her parents/the courthouse since it was a week before her 18th birthday (Im 20) so we got that from TSC but no RFE's for actual relationship proof, all that was in order.

K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & ProceduresWhat are my options for paying for K1 Visa?

We did a Postal order through the post office.. although we did it in Texas, I'm sure Poland would have the same option? You just give the money to the post office and they write you the cheque

K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & ProceduresHow long does it take to activate K1 at Customs? (Aranging layover time)

I searched for this but can't seem to find an answer, I have my interview on the 13th and i'm already looking at flights (Not booking until I have my visa in hand, but was just having a check!) and I wondered if anyone can tell me how long extra it takes to activate your visa when you get to customs, would I need to be looking at a 3 hour+ layover? I'm flying to Dallas from Manchester so it's impossible to get one way flights unfortunately..

K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & ProceduresI-134 Filled in on PC & Printed (With wet signature)

No, it doesn't matter whether the form was filled in by typing it up or handwriting it. Just the signature needs to be done by hand.

Good luck for your interview.

Thanks so much, I figured that was the case but I wanted to double check

K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & ProceduresI-134 Filled in on PC & Printed (With wet signature)

Just double checking since I have my interview on the on Thursday, my fiance filled in the I-134 on a computer and then printed and then obviously hand signed and dated it, does it matter that the other information wasn't written by hand?

K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & ProceduresI just got a RFE

Thought i'd chip in here, I got an RFE but it was simply because my fiance was 1 week away from being 18 (I just turned 20), so her parents had to get an intent form from the courthouse, we actually just got her parents to hand write a note but hat wasn't enough, had to be an official letter from the courthouse, after that was submitted all was fine, no more RFEs and my interview is this coming thursday!

I think you should be fine? Either way you NEED Visa photos for your interview anyway so you would've had to get them at some point
