Omer, it is hard to say when you will receive a decision on your petition, I'm estimating that VSC will start adjudicating May filers some time late next week. But that is purely a guess, no one can really say for sure, and it could take longer, not to mention individual petitions can take longer to process than others. It can't be too far away. K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Case Filing and Progress Reports	May 2012 Filers	May VSC filers - VSC is going crazy with April approvals!! they are mid to late April - the bulk of it - at the moment.. I'm sticking with my prediction of the first May approvals in the last week of October! I did some stats for you all based on VJ registered filers - stats helped me understand the position better ok: January was slow.. we know this, they had 147 Jan VJ VSC petitions, 123 have been approved, thats 83% which seems to be about average for VJ filers due to people not logging in and updating - most months average about 85% Feb had a whopping 218 filers, of which 81% are approved March had 202 filers - still alot - of which 71% are approved as of just now. a few left to go, but almost at the VJ peak of 85%. April had 165 filers (getting fewer) of which 40% are approved - not to mention - the majority of these approvals have been in the last 3 weeks, they started pumping them out around 27 September.. if my previous theory about CSC still stands, teh rate of approvals will see all April filers boxes gone from the storage centre sometime in the next week, so there may be some left for approval, but those who have finished their boxes, will start picking up May boxes.. Not so happy that they tell us its been expedited then tell us we will hear in December, but at least it hasnt been denied. Wow really? I had no idea. At this rate yes then it would be great if us May filers will hear something by November. We were planning anyway that I would leave the UK in March (so I have time to pack, quit my job, tell businesses that I am moving, wedding booking etc..), so even if say I had the interview in February it wouldnt be much of a problem because of our plan being so far off on the calender. Better late than early in this case lol!!! Just so much to book and plan for the wedding its gonna be such a rush when I do get my Visa lol! Yeah I wasnt allowed to go for the wedding fitting (shame because I SOOOOOOOO wanna see it now that I know who it was designed by!!), and she adores it!! Not only that we have an idea about where my family is going to stay, our theme (so proud of it, it is gonna be red, white and blue. Like the colours of our flags!!!), catering, flowers, decor, location. We both know what we want its just booking it all lol! Thank you for the best wishes. She has her surgery next Monday, but doctors are confident that it will be a success. Just wish I could be there for her. Work wouldnt let me stay because despite me working in a company that employes over 1,000 people, there are only 2 people woking in IT. The other guys is off for a month. Guess who is working alone lol!! you have the best attitude, I'm so glad you have so much patience and calmness, I guess you know what matters most. I realise that it would be great if it were quicker, but sometimes, waiting can have its rewards too. my fiance wants details of my dress. not allowed!! its tradition! one of the few traditions I'm insisting on keeping actually. your theme sounds lovely Brock, you are there for her, it might not be physically, but I'm sure shes a happy girl despite the medical issues, it will give her something to look forward to and focus on. keep us updated on how shes doing. The RFE response has arrived at the CSC - my case just updated to 'Response Review' on the site. Here's hoping it satisfies the agent. This week. It will be this week. Fingers crossed! I suspect an approval is coming very soon. I wont be here when it happens as I'll be flying out to see my guy tomorrow! I'll be on a ship so I'll be disconnected. This will be my last visit before his interview. Unfortunately I just came down with a cold. Crappy timing Oh well, I'd rather be with him, sick with a cold then here alone healthy. Having saying that I saw their recent statistics and apparntly in September they were still having over 18,000 applications to go through in VSC. Makes me wonder how may people do they employee lol! Hopefully if the surgery goes well she said that she wants to fly over to the UK and meet my family before we get married. She has her second fitting for her wedding dress today, just thinking forward and not looking back now! Hi Brock - it doesn't sound like they followed through with the expedite, December doesn't sound right. but at least, you know its coming - there was a lot of April filers being approved today, they still have some March to go through, but if April is going strong, then May can't be too far behind, they have sped up significantly, I think it will be sooner than you all think, May filers will start seeing approvals early November if not before that, I wouldn't be surprised if some started trickling in last week of October actually. I hope so. sounds like you guys have a nice little plan going on, a visit, and a wedding dress fitting, its nice that she has something else to focus on rather than her surgery, that will help her get well quickly, speaking of, best of luck for her surgery, when does she go in? My mind and body aren't used to this type of stress, particularly with the /three weeks/ it took them to actually get the RFE to me from the first notice. I want to be sure that they can't dispute anything and get us NOA2 so we can move on from this point. I know.. its awful. I nearly lost my mind on Friday when my friend in Sydney told me that she received my fingerprint sheet from the police station. yep.. they took my fingerprints, put it in an envelope and posted them to me. all for the tidy sum of $175 + $6 for the express post envelope. I called the police station with the intention of asking if any of them had attended a school to get their job. I took a breath and remembered my end goal, even when I said.. 'So I go into your police station, get my fingerprints taken, pay $175, give you an express post envelope, and as I'm walking out the door, the officer puts it in the envelope, seals it and posts it to me, 7 days later. Can you not see where he went wrong there?' he still didn't think they did anything wrong. Apparently 'Logic' is not something that can be taught. Luckily, I was told i could re-route it to the Police headquarters to get the police check done. so altogether wasted about 10 days, hopefully they won't enforce the entire 15 working days for processing. Thx sweet delish! You put my mind at ease.. I guess I'll over think it all until I get some form of an answer.. thats just my personality haha. I'm sure you'll be together by Christmas!!!! mine too.. mine too! I hope we are.. K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Case Filing and Progress Reports	May 2012 Filers	Ugh- I'm nervous because my fiancé photo copied his passport stamps.. the main page with his info (page 2 and 3) and the stamps on his passport (page 4 and 5) right above the admitted stamp is a big DENIAL from a visit in march) and below it is the dates he arrived back in january.. matches all my other paperwork (copies of hotel receipts etc) little did i know paying the airport parking (2$) with a credit card would come in so handy, lol... the passport is so dark I'm paranoid they will try to send me an RFE... but if you take the time to look you can clearly see admitted. I guess I'm just over thinking it... but at this stage what else is left to do but over think? I have all my stuff ready for NOA2 and i scanned my own passport and all pages when i went to Europe back in June (for proof of ongoing relationship)... UGH this wait is driving me f-----ng insane... i wanted him here for the holidays so bad!! Now I'm just hoping for new years!!! Did anyone else do something similar like us? Not all pages of passport but just the info and stamped pages? Lucky for us they went in sequential order... yup - thats all I did, just copied my bio page and the stamps in my passport relating to my visits, I wrote little notes next to them indicating which visit it belonged to. to me it sounds like you submitted enough, if you could read the stamp that says admitted, then I'm sure they will do. Of course you are overthinking it, I did that too, I'm even doing that now post NOA2 pre-interview. I'm still hoping I'll make it in time for Christmas, I haven't progressed much after NOA2, still waiting on the police clearance to come back. Not sure if you watch Igors list, but they have significantly sped up processing, are already on to April, and I'm hoping they won't slow down for all of you and have it in their minds they need to clear out the backlog. K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Case Filing and Progress Reports	May 2012 Filers	Two years, my mistake. I haven't been to Portugal yet - she's come here. We sent in other things with date markers, but apparently these weren't official enough for them. She's going to scan her passport and plane tickets, plus a photo taken at Shark Reef with 'Las Vegas 2012' that has us in it, I'm getting a few written affidavits from people, including hardcopies of more photos, and I'll include a USB thumbdrive with copies of all the digital images, since they come with timestamps embedded as to the time they were taken. that should be more than enough. I like how you are leaving nothing to chance! Hey everyone, I am sure this question has already been asked but I have read so much information I can't remember, Is it ok to send in flight itinerarys? or we need actual ticket stubs? If we need actual ticket stubs, of course I threw mine away, is there a way to access this through the airline perhaps?? its ok to send itineraries, but, that only shows intent of going, not that you went, I wouldn't worry about the ticket stubs if you don't have them, just a copy of the stamps in the passport, and the supporting photos. It sounds like you included enough, it seems like they want something officially issued, like passport stamps or boarding passes, to support your other evidence. K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Case Filing and Progress Reports	May 2012 Filers	ha.. on the bright side, its easily fixed, so, boarding passes? stamps in passport? those are better proof than an itinerary. add more photos - even the same ones again, any receipts you have from Portugal, shes been to the USA right? get the same of hers, she can scan and email them to you. I think they want to see official dates rather than an itinerary which doesn't actually prove you were there, just you had intentions of going, same with photos, even the date stamped ones are not solid proof, they can be altered, however, they are supported with the other stuff. are you sorted? the trip back to USCIS should be faster, you could be approved in a couple of weeks. yes its horseshit, but we knew that already. they have you at ransom, put on your best beaming fake grin and get to work sunshine. Since that means they got the info from the customer service call, maybe they sent it to the correct address this time... Well at least its in the mail. fingers crossed. I'm not much further ahead from when I first got my NOA2, Sydney consulate requires us to have our medical and police clearance done in order to sending back packet 3. Since I'm working in NZ, everything is taking a little longer for me to get. It will be 2 months since NOA2 when I finally get to send back my packet 3, I hope its not longer than that. I know that at least I have an approval, I'm not complaining, but I just wish that I had been better prepared considering the gift of approval was granted in such a timely manner. just 8 weeks left in NZ. can't wait to live my life by something other than countdowns.... I have to quote this.. as it deserves extra attention - that kitty is hilarious! and fluffy and cute. though I realise that its not quite the idea you were going for. ridiculous. thats what it is.. ridiculous! well, it sounds like it *should* arrive this week, hopefully today, and it can get sorted out quick smart! That is too funny! I was able to find a caterer that was willing to work with me without me making a deposit until Nov 27th. I told her that nothing was for sure until after Nov 26th. This process makes it hard to plan a wedding! I'm so excited. haha. well thats good, I think its the hardest part, not being sure of a date. ahhh the price we pay for international relationships. I never noticed one either, a 'touch' is just another obsession, provides mostly zero information, but when waiting for the biggest Christmas gift to end them all, any action on your case feels exciting. ps. welcome to the forum. The perils of living in a rural area: the government tends to employ people who've got no idea who things work outside city limits. Sigh. of all the issues on here that people have.. this is by far the most ridiculous! such a time waster, someone needs to get into USCIS and put some efficiency in place, maybe with all the e-docs they are starting to do, they will at some point, be totally online and efficient. maybe. I'm thinking that suggesting you take up residence in a city dwelling for a few months till this is done, is not such a stupid drastic idea. so.. K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Case Filing and Progress Reports	May 2012 Filers	So how did all ya'll meet your other half?? online dating. story was, I was planning on moving to Canada - I have citizenship and family there and I wanted a change, so I was avoiding dating anyone in Sydney, my room mate at the time, was on a few sites and going on lots of dates, she told me to sign up, so I figured, ok, I'll do it for a laugh and some entertainment, signed on to e-harmony for 1 month through her recommendation and selected Canada and USA, thought I might find a guy in Canada to talk to for a few months. My first set of matches came through and for some reason my SO's pictures and his profile just caught my attention so i sent him a contact, he didn't respond for a week. I had no idea he was in Iraq or that he was a soldier (mental health not combat). his story, his wife had left him a few months before deploying to Iraq, the marriage was well over anyway, she was already involved with someone else. So while in Iraq, he thought he might entertain himself with a woman to talk to, since he now had no one. When I messaged him he had just gone back on R&R leave and met up with one girl in Hawaii, which didn't work out. and he didn't respond to me as he was in transit back to Iraq, he had decided to cancel his account when he got back, he saw my request for contact and liked what he saw, decided he'd give it one more shot. so we talked for 9 months, emailed every day, talked on the phone once a week, he got back to Hawaii in November and came to see me for a month from Dec20, we had Christmas together, visited NZ and my family too, he even had to go back to Hawaii for 1 day while he was here to finalise his divorce, long story - she was playing games, they couldn't change the date, the judge ordered the ex to pay his airfare though and told her to grow up so he did a 24hour round trip Sydney to Hawaii to Auckland, landed on new years eve, just after midnight... we've barely gone a day without emailing since the first one, which was just over 18months ago. we are getting married on Dec 20 too. We were on the road to calling it a day this week and something needs to happen AnnaLouise, you are the beneficiary correct? in that case, and I assume you are in the US now on the VWP, you can stay, as long as you don't overstay your 90days, to be on the safe side, leave at day 88 or 89. She'll have to settle for the package of Stuff we're going to send her. I guess the first step is to get the darned thing first in order to respond! Christmas isn't that far away. I hope the VSC May filers will have their NOA2's by then aswell, VSC are most certainly cranking them out at long last, I'm still expecting to see the first batch of April filers to get approved by Friday if not Monday. K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Case Filing and Progress Reports	May 2012 Filers	I just got home and catching up on email & VJ. I had an awesome visit! 7 days in the Western Caribbean...ahh. Way too short tho. I'm feeling the post holiday blues as well. Back to reality and work tomorrow. booo We faxed our P3 stuff from a Kinkos/FedEx store in Tampa. After the fax went we were woohooing and hugging in the middle of the store. I'm sure people thought we were crazy getting all excited over a fax. yay! for me, the first couple of days was ok, it was the weekend hitting that set me on a low, for the first time in years, I couldn't wait for work on Monday. haha I can totally imagine the excitement in the street though! hmm we can't fax our stuff, Australian consulate doesn't accept scanned or faxed documentation. I did get my serology test done today, I inadvertently went to the NZ US visa medical centre, its just the medical centre directly across the road from work, the doctor was lovely, I wish I could do my medical here, she helped me out and talked me through the process I'd go through in Sydney anyway, she knew exactly what to test for, and my chicken pox test may take longer so shes going to email the doctor's office there, and write me a letter to take with me. above and beyond! ahhh I can't wait to get it sorted out. I am doing a take 2 on my canadian passport renewal too. who would have thought getting foreign passport photos done would be so complicated! I have started doing a bit of wedding planning too. Hey all, I just got back from two weeks with my man and definitely cried my way home. Had a great time all the same and I am looking forward to this being over. Definitely noticing how this wait is affecting us and I hope that it's not going to cause problems I was afraid of when I first considered long distance. ANYWAYS! Glad to hear of peoples progress! I'm getting excited to see how many March filers are being approved right now. We'll be next before we know it yay! I'm glad that you are so positive! I doubt any of you VSC'ers will go too far beyond 5 months, maybe 6, but I think that will cap your wait time. over half way already! it won't be long. And those that haven't, are keeping your spirits up. Patty I hope you are enjoying your break and the visit with your fiance. I agree with you about feeling for those that can't visit for one reason or another. I feel fortunate, albeit a little miserable at the moment - post holiday blues. my SO is off to San Antonio for a month today, I'm sulking a bit as the time difference is going to be harder, I've been spoiled by only having a 2 hour time change from Hawaii(although hes 22 hours behind) and once daylight savings starts in NZ, we'll only be 1 hour different in time. Its Sunday here in NZ today, and I haven't left my apartment all weekend or spoken to anyone, I'm just wading my way through a bag of York peppermint patties that I bought back with me - I need to get a grip. I'm going to get out today, time to get back into the gym again and other things so I can stop staring at my countdowns 5 times a day I have 9 days till I go to Sydney for my medical and police check, 33 days till my SO is back from Texas, 75 days till I leave NZ and its 99 days till Xmas. ok guys.. hang in there, it will be over soon. I hope things speed up soon from what I've seen VSC is very much sped up and powering through the March filers, I know they are still behind, but it appears they are trying to catch up, they seemed to have approved early March and late March in the same day this past week, fingers crossed they will be starting on some April petitions sometime next week. K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Case Filing and Progress Reports	May 2012 Filers	I'm confused - why are people tracking DHL deliveries? Are you following your i129f from the NVC to the consulate? Or somehow... the Packet 3 deliveries leaving the consulate? I just called the NVC, and they were able to tell me when they sent our stuff to the Montreal Consulate, and that Montreal had received it the following day. Still have no idea when Packet 3 will be sent out though - I think we're supposed to allow a week before calling DOS to ask. Am I missing something? you don't need to, its mostly just another way to pass the time and feed the obsession. Its helpful for those who live in countries with questionable mail systems and slow consulates though. Places like Canada and Australia don't matter so much. K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Case Filing and Progress Reports	May 2012 Filers	Thank you. No news yet. They still saying they are still backlogged and to give them another week. However, more worried about my fiancee. Her headaches are getting worse and the doctors say that she needs to have surgery tomorrow. I am so angry and upset that I will not be there by her side to hold her hand before the operation. Its been scary this past week. She has managed to forget who I am for a few days (not fun convincing her why I am her fiancee and why she loves me) and a few times she starts to speak and write Spainish on MSN saying that she doesn't understand English. They say that the cancer spread to the language and memory part of the brain. She has been on steriods for 6 weeks to build up her stregth for the chemo, but its spread too quickly and needs to have surgery now. So I am more focused on her than I am with the petition. I will of course keep you guys up to date with what going on. The doctors say there is a 70% success rate. Anyway, here is me waffling on. Congratulations on those so far getting their NOA2 and going forth on to the next step you lucky S.O.B's! Now yo need to focus on the medicial and getting yourself fit. Me? Im cutting my cigerattes from 12 a day to 10 a day! Every 2 per 2 weeks until I cut down completely! Lol! Oh and pizza, but I loooooooooooooove my Dominos pizza so much! Its my comfort food lol! oh Brock, I hope things pull through for her and the surgery goes well. and that damn VSC needs to expedite your case quick smart!! though on the bright side, she can speak spanish now!! I'm not surprised you are focused on her getting well, and nothing else. good luck on the giving up smoking, its a brave move and a fantastic one, you will feel better for it soon. haha.. the pizza is funny, pizza is evil. it sucks you in with the cheese and the cheese.. and the cheese!! How do you check DHL deliveries? either do it yourself using the instructions in this thread, or just read the updates from trulovesjourney. she doesn't list all of them though, just some. but there was a package that went to BC, Canada today, and I found one for Australia. so fingers crossed! K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Case Filing and Progress Reports	May 2012 Filers	3 more! Lucky you! I have 11. I did call the NVC and they do have it. I got my case # from her, but that was it. She said that the embassy will contact my fiance when they get it. She was rather short with me. Guess she was tired of us VJers calling. LOL I was on hold nearly 30 minutes when I called. I'm wondering how people get the date the NVC received it and the date it left. 11 is good.. but it seems soooo far away. 3 sleeps still feels like an eternity! hmm well thats good. the only other thing I've been checking is the DHL deliveries. not that its much help, as there is one that goes to Sydney almost every day. Shouldn't be too far away though. Yep, I haven't even bothered to get my SO to check, hes busy at work and works long hours, so being on hold forever for something we don't desperately need just seems like a waste of his time.
