Well this is what I get no matter which one I enter the case # under.

My fiance also has the same problem.he can't access and error show up on screen.maybe your fiance can access in philipine?

Isn't it non-immigrant for a K-1 visa?  I have never been able to get my case number to come up.  It just gives me an error.  Maybe you have to wait until after your interview to get anything?

My friend told me thats under immigrant visa

Yay, congrats!. I think it would be started with JAK. Just put your case number on CEAC and it will shows up status update of your case.

I am just so pleased that we got our case number already. It only took about 16 days from NOA hardcopy (roughly 19 days since they sent it to NVC). Anyway, does anyone know any link to track my case number on DoS site?couldnt find it :(

Congrats for you and Matthew, Disya!. I can't hardly wait you posted here your approval. Anyhow, have you let the US embassy in Jakarta know that your fiance will attend your interview? The security guards there are sometimes too noisy, lol. Even though I already had showed to them the appointment letter stating they allow my fiance comes in but they still gave us a hard time.

I just want to share my happy experience. Today i got an email from embassy regarding schedule for interview. The total time we spent on our journey appx. only 2months! What a bless...i scheduled my interview on 25th march-even i can take it faster but my fiance wants to attend the interview with me. Wish you guys all the good luck!

Our NOA2 date was Feb. 12 and I called NVC today and got the case number (15 days). I was told that they started to process the case today. I went to CEAC site and signed in with the case number. The status said that IV application was not started, and it said on the page to click Start to start the application. Is that what I am supposed to do? Or should we wait for Packet 3? I am the petitioner, not beneficiary.

I suggest you to wait.rush them by phone not help at all.i got package 3 and 4 both email and no call at all

My fiance called again and the guy who answered said that we are not under AP. What's up with the inconsistent answers from nvc!!

Ok..here is the idea.the reason why i only check on website because they might update the website after the real stage happen.it's less stress than calling them and you keep getting different answer(+ you wait for many times to just get the co talk to you).i also sent them email so they will have my email;they also replied my email.good luck and hopefully this is help

we called nvc again today to verify because the guy said it was sent to the embassy yesterday but now they said we are under administrative processing! I get different answers everyday!!

Better you check on ceac website with your case number.lot more relief :)

I was told the number February 10th when I called NVC; they also told me that they had introduced my case in their system Friday 7th. I asked them how long it would be there for and they told me that it's usually only there for one or two weeks before it is sent to the embassy unless there is need for more administrative processing.
My status changed on the CEAC webpage on Thursday the 13th to "in transit" When I called the NVC again to verify they said that they had sent it the day before (the 11th) to my embassy. My case went through NVC really fast but I'm not sure whether that's the norm or not...
My fiance got the hard copy of this information yesterday, actually (the 18th) It is dated "February 12". It says that it's a confirmation letter and also that our case file has been sent to Madrid. It also says the NVC case number (same one they told me over the phone) and the USCIS case number (the receipt number from NOA1) Also our full names (my fiance's and mine) and the address of the Madrid embassy.
It also says "In the meantime, please have your fiancé(e) and his or her children visit ceac.state.gov and complete form DS-160 to apply for a K visa" This is obviously a generic sentence since I do not have children.
I did sign up in my consulate's page but I do not have access to that form yet. My embassy sends you a letter by regular mail and I cannot move forward until I have it... Unfortunately, my embassy does not have a phone number to call for info or updates. There's an e-mail address but they haven't responded yet (I wrote to them two days ago so it make take them a while) So for now I'm waiting for the letter! And trying to be patient! :-P

The first time they told me the number the status check didn't work for me either (maybe it takes a little while for them to update it online) It did work later that day!
The first letters must belong to the name of your embassy; mine are MDD for Madrid so is AKK is the code for Jakarta? (not sure where the US embassy is in Indonesia but there is an A and a K in Jakarta :-P ) Mine is followed by 10 letters so it's 3 letters and 10 numbers total, no spaces or symbols. Give it a day and if not call NVC again to make sure you have the right number. 

Mine has 9 numbers(or probably 7 numbers since there is double numbers and my fiance mishear?)
He said he will gonna call again when he back home.by the way,i believe we will get hard copy and there will be our case number attached.do u get it too?if yes,for how long after they said they sent to embassy?thank u :)

the number usually starts with the initials of ur consulate. Like Manila cases are MNLxxxxxx, my case is in Rio de Janeiro is RDJxxxxx

You have to choose INMIGRANT VISA (usually that's the choice by default) then write your case number in the box and that's it! Hope it works :-)

I also haven't received my case number yet. I got my NOA2 on February 4th . So slow!!!!

We got our NOA2 on February 3rd. I was reading the stats and it probably arrived at NVC about 31 days. Good luck!luv.gif

No..NVC work until late. If i am not wrong they work until midnight. You can try to call them about 7pm-ish (GMT-5). Its easier to get them about that time

Good luck on getting your case number! CSC is really slow in forwarding cases to NVC. Whew I am past that stage of waiting


Yeah..my friend also told me that CSC is slower than TSC.hopefully we get the case number before march so he can bring any other requirements when he visit me on march :)

My fiance got our NOA2 hard copy on 3rd February and didn't get any case number yet (California Service Center). Anyone has experience on getting case number from CSC?how long it takes, barely?We had call the NVC and they said still have to wait :s. My fiance should have academy on 1st July so hopefully we will get approve before the date.

I wasn't on vj for couple weeks so don't update my journey(very sorry!)
I got my interview on 25th March and need to get back to them on Friday because we didn't update his last paystubs and I didn't bring my original birth certificate.the interview itself take 5 minutes and the officer said that we are accepted.meanwhile,my fiancé wait outside and was wondering.wow...that's quick :P
Anyway,we have to pick up our visa on 3rd April(my mom will help me to take it from embassy because we are in Bali for our spring break vacation ;D)

No. I need to email the embassy about my interview date. I request on 25th March. I think it would be different each country. As for Philipine they haved to wait for months to get interview date. You should check on your embassy. Good luck ;)
