NVC forwaded our case to the US embassy in Paris on december 26th if I understand correctly ! We are currently together as my fiancé took some time off to be with my family and I for the hollidays.. We got our hardcopy for NOA2 yesterday We are starting to fill the Affidavit of support My fiancé is coming on December 24th and will be here until mid January so I am super excited and it will be much easier for him to give me the copy of the I-129f for the interview We are so thankfull the process moved that fast, we are starting to hope I can have our baby with him in the States   I am a bit scared about the medical knowing I am pregnant, but as I work in a hospital I had a complete check up in January 2013, I am hoping we did everything they will need at this time Of course I know we still have a bit to go before this happens, but worries are still here !   I think I'll be posting again very soon with this affidavit of support !! Good luck November filers we just pay ours yesterday waiting for case number I'm nervous though, we only have one picture each year,because we both don't like taking pictures lol and not good quality, that's my only concern we have other proof like, chat conversations, his visits, receipts and western union.   I might be wrong but I think for the first package what you really need is receipts of reservation (hotels, restaurants), passport stamps, boarding passes. Sure if you had pictures it is good for your case but I think there are not primary proofs. But again, you may want to check with people more experienced in the process !! I was given the advice to start the affadavit as early as I could and we sent it with all the other applications in one package. But ours was tricky as we had to do two, if yours is simpler it shouldnt take long to do, whenever you start.   I guess for the affidavit of support we could start working on it and then just add dates when its needed. I am a bit worried about all the papers that we will have to fill out and since i am also pregnant we will have to fill out some additional forms and i am just hoping that all works out so the forms are properly for the baby and also for me .   But besides that all should go smoothly ... hopefully.   Ideally i would like to go back to the US early late summer next year but i am not too sure if everything will be through by then.    Hi !! IR-1 / CR-1 Spouse Visa Process & Procedures	Denied I-129f on K-1 visa; new lawyer advises get married Cr-1	I wrote about how my application for k-1 visa was denied because I disnt ask specifically for an IMBRA waiver specifically in my RFE explanation. My old attorney (Joel turney) didn't state that I should ask for a waiver so I just re wrote the letter I had sent to the Saigon embassy withdrawing the petition for my former fiancé. After receiving the denial letter, my former attorney stated they did nothing wrong, advised against getting married and filing a k-3(cr-1) because that application will be denied because USCIS will think we are trying to circumvent the prior denial. They also advise against appealing since according to him, the law firm and the USCIS did nothing wrong: it's my fault for not asking for an IMBRA waiver even though thats seems like what I pay an attorney for. After some advice from other members, I went to visit the legendary Marc Ellis. He's a cool guy, and said he would represent me through the whole process but I need to get the I-130 filed quickly. I am scheduled to leave October 15th and have been in Saigon since April wrongly assuming my fiancé would be able to return with me. Long story short, he wants me to delay my flight by a few weeks, which means expensive flight change, pay $1250 law fee, I'm sure there is a separate fee for application for visa, and not to mention ill have to renew my Vietnamese visa again (only good for 90 days at a time). Even if I do all of this, I'm still going home alone. Because I have to wait for the IMBRA two year waiting period to end (August 8th, 2014), is it better to return home, wrap up my American loose ends, get my tefl teaching degree, and come back after TET. I've already spent three months from October-January 2012/13 with living with my fiancé, and have lived with her since April 2013. I would have started teaching here, since I have a bachelors but most schools want a year contract. I am a remodeling contractor by trade and there is ZERO work here for construction (unless you want to work for $.50/hr in the tropical sun). I hate to leave my fiancé for another stretch, but money is low, and it makes sense to stack cash in the USA and return. My question is: Is it better to wait and reapply for k-1 fiancé visa at IMBRA expiration? Or is it better to get married in Vietnam, and have that paperwork processing, so when I return in February/March things will be rolling? I love this woman, so I don't mind the marriage part, but I'm low on cash right now, so I'd have to borrow the legal fee, and since Viet weddings are GIGANTIC compared to American weddings, and a source of pride for the family, I'd have to come up with even more dough. I could pull the cash from my family but I would owe serious pounds of flesh---which I'm willing to do, BUT if I get denied for the cr-1 I will be seriously upse, out more money, time, and has to reapply. I know Marc Ellis has a great reputation on here, and he seemed like a great guy, but after getting screwed by my last lawyer, who promised smooth sailing, I'm a little worried to jump in without hearing everyone's opinions from here. My fiance resent the i-129F packet last December 10 (Backstory: wrong address for the first time hence it was returned to him) and we haven't gotten an email or text from USCIS that they've received our packet yet. My fiance sent it through USPS and didn't use certified mail so we have no way of tracking it. We hopefully wait but our heart breaks a little more everyday with not hearing anything about it. He even tried calling USCIS and they said there's no file under his name yet and that they really couldn't help with anything unless we have a case number. And i also know its because of the holiday rush since we sent it december. I just wanna know if anyone else is on the same boat? And if anyone has been here before and if so, how long did it take for you guys to receive an email/text from them? Hello there, i think you can check if the check has been cashed or not. She is from Indonesia, so it has to be Jakarta number.   To the OP, remember not to go for medical exam until it is instructed by the Embassy to do so. Because you will need your JAK# and the exam has validity.  The same thing applies for police clearance (if you have lived abroad for more than 6 months). Your birthday is on April, if you get the NOA2 on March or April, of course you can do the medical (you need your case number to do it). We were fill in our visa on December and already got the NOA1 (wish we could get our NOA2 this February). He still stay with his parents (dad working and mom housewife).
