(e.g. sample context, address info, etc.?) My timeline is in line with yours (minus 7-10 day) and my fiancee also advised to contact the office via phone/email instead of waiting 30 days (as stated in NOA2).   Appreciate any insight! The hardcopy notification (i think i told you already?) K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Case Filing and Progress Reports	January 2014 Filers	OK, does that notification come through the USCIS website?  Via e-mail?  Carrier pigeon?     And I had my first call to the NVC today, and as you said, sat on hold for 20 minutes, for them to tell me "No, we don't have it yet.  Once you get your letter, it'll take 8 weeks".  The same thing that they tell everyone else. EDIT:  I think I found my own answer.  I signed up on the USCIS website for notifications.  I'm assuming the "NVC sent" notification comes through that.  If that is incorrect, someone please "drop some info on me".      Thanks! K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Case Filing and Progress Reports	January 2014 Filers	OK, I need to ask a question.  I got the NOA2 notice on the website, I haven't gotten the letter in the mail yet, but I'm wondering.  How do I know when the CSC has shipped my case off to the NVC?  I assume there's some sort of notification.  Does that come through the USCIS site?  Someplace else?   Thanks! Apperently I should be getting NOA2 soon, but still nothing. Fingers crossed. It seems that there are still a lot of January Filers waiting.    If I get an RFE would I first get an email notification?   Hoping that wont happen, but in case I missed something. I had to fix a typo in my address and my NOA1 mail one never came. They said if its NOA1 then the processing times wont change. But now I'm worried it was an RFE. Although the online system never said I would be getting one. This is only really useful for small countries, I think.         Provided info was very useful. Thank you very much! I "guestimated" the dates and it shows that it was signed and received on 3/6. See here http://www.visajourn...-to-us-embassy/   Called NVC today to inquire about if I'm suppose to receive an official notice or some type to proceed with interview scheduling (since that was my understanding). Per our convo, I wouldn't be receiving any notice from NVC as they have sent the case to embassy. Thought it takes about 4-5 days for embassy to receive the case but as of today (day 7) I haven't received confirmation of receipt.   I know folks here advised that I don't necessary need to wait for the official notice (email/packet3) as long I have the case number (which I do) then I can schedule an appointment but in my experience it varies depending on embassies. K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Case Filing and Progress Reports	January 2014 Filers	I'm guilty of this!  I did a timeline query of everyone who has received NOA2 since January 1st, added all their "NVC delays" into a spreadsheet, and computed the average, (4.29 days).  Noted the high (14 days), and the low (1 day!), and use that to attempt to calm my nerves.  (Today is day 12 for us).   I feel like I might need a 12 step program if they don't release it soon. Seems like the quick ones are going more by country than by "order".   As far as wedding I planned for end of November.  Going by Gov. estimate it should be September but we dded a few months just in case. I was also HIGHLY recommended not to do this.  I'm taking a big risk in doing it.   I heard there was a way to get the visa expidited if work was offering them a job?  Its something I might look into for my fiancee because a few companies have asked for him but dont want to sponsor.   Not the visa but once you file for AOS you can get the EAD expedited.	sharky-rex	Male	Croatia	2014-03-08 08:30:00

It used to take much longer than this!!!  Now on to NVC... In our case it took about 12 days from CSC until it was processed at NVC and it was on its way to the embassy about 15 days from NOA2. Hope it's quick for you as well!    Thanks!   We really did get lucky with both the time and service center. I hope the other Jan filers get their NOA2s soon.   Anyone have any idea how to set things up so my fiancee can be at the interview without forking over a fortune for a flexible ticket? We're hoping to get a early/mid-April date so we can get married on our anniversary. Very tight, but Croatia is usually super quick about scheduling. K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Case Filing and Progress Reports	January 2014 Filers	That is tough! Who knows why sometimes they go fast and sometimes they go slow... I feel like this is a lottery! We were lucky but other people's are taking a lot longer (I just read a post from someone in Germany that had been waiting since August but just got their case transferred to NVC) The numbers seem pretty random. Just keep checking USCIS status (I'm sure you already do that!) and as far as it doesn't mention any RFE you should be good! It's not even been two months so you're still in a good time frame but I know it gets worse when you see that a lot of other people are getting approved. Wait to send back your packet 3, schedule the interview late, etc. I think I also remember reading about a Canadian being asked if they want to activate their K1 when crossing the border, but don't hold me to that. Personally I hope we get approved extra speedy   having mixed feelings on all these other people that filed in Nov/Dec and have gotten their NOA2s already.  On the one hand I would get to be with the love of my life that much faster.  On the other hand we had plans for him to finish up work and other things by the 5+ month prediction.   If he gets his Visa sooner he cant come visit me in May for a convention we always go to together or it will start the 90 day activation to get married.   so many mixed feelings on this x_x	sharky-rex	Male	Croatia	2014-01-21 19:55:00
