Chile changed their exams to 6 months recently in June...maybe it was the same for you? However, concrete evidence (insurance, leases, bank statements) is supposedly stronger than any persons heresay. As far as I can tell, a ton of couples met online and have success stories, but I can´t personally speak to that. Also, most VJers are willing to help. Mexico, Latin & South America	Medical Exam/interview scheduling in Chile	2 weeks! good to know! the secretary made it sound like it could get done in a couple days....according to the embassy´s page, she is there lunes and martes, but the secretary told me just friday. I do know that she recently had a food operation, broke her foot, etc something of the like, so maybe she is laying low. i will be calling back to get more info. yeah, my husband can´t get his vaccine record anymore, so we´ll be from scratch. which 2 vaccines were they? I know it´s cash up front, but I was wondering if I could take the boleta to my isapre later and pedir un reembolso? I haven´t heard of anyone doing this, but maybe? I am trying to schedule my husbands medical in Santiago, and since we are from conce, I was wondering if we would need to go to santiago 2 veces, or if we could do it in a matter of a couple days. Por si acaso, our interview is on a wednesday. I understand that Dra. Gail only works fridays? does either doc give you a vaccine record? Mexico, Latin & South America	Chile - Medical Exam etc	hey....so when i we finished at NVC and then started our wait for the interview, i could find no info regarding medical exams in chile (except direct contact with other chilean members). So I thought I would post a topic about my experience. In early november we got our Dec 12th interview date assigned (via email from NVC). we immediately started calling the docs (grossman and passalacqua) to set up the medical as we weren´t sure how far in advance it needed to be. We called using the info on the embassy website which isn´t correct (at least for grossman). updated #s - passalacqua - 204-7071 / 225-3891, cel - 06-213-8391 grossman - 212-9253 / 228-0119 long story short, some people recommended passalacqua, and more people recommended dra. grossman. we decided to go with grossman bc passalacqua never answered the phone (most likely bc we had the old number, lol). anyway the secretary is a bit pesada. she only could offer us friday afternoon slots, so we took one 2 weeks prior to the interview date. it wat at 3 pm so we asked and asked about whether we would be able to get all the exams done that same afternoon (we are from conce) and she assured both me and my husband when he called that yes, no problem. well, about a week before the medical we emailed the embassy to see if we needed any special papers (i heard conflicting info about whether the doc had the ordenes medicos or not). at first they said yes we needed the forms and they would mail them, but when we said we had dra. grossman, they said she should have them but we were welcome to pick them up at the embassy if we wished, and "OH PS here is your interview letter which you need the day of the interview." now i had alwyas thought the NVC letterwas the interview letter, so it was a good thing we emaield them!! not wanting to risk anything, we went to the embassy to pick up the forms the day of the medical. this was a good idea bc they also gave us a printed interview letter which we had to take to the doc to timbrar (again, i didn´t realy know this). not wanting to arrive late to our appt in the afternoon, we decided to scope out the address in the morning. lo and behold we get there and the secretary is like, "we have been trying and trying to call you1!!" turns out they wanted us to come in earlier in the morning since the doc realized that 3pm might be a little late for a friday afternoon to get all the tests done. NO DUH luckily the doc was able to come back a little earlier so we could get everything done. Dra. grossman is exceptionally nice and understanding. shes there to help you get the job done, but with a very pleasant demeanor. long story short - she had the forms, but we used the ones we picked up from the embassy anyway, she asked him a series of questions (which by going to the embassy we were able to get a sneak peek of, nothing surprising). if you have read the CDC technical instructions for panel physicians, you know what to expect. they ask you if you have any health problems (heart, lung, diability etc), if you have a history of violent behavior, if you are addicted to drugs, etc. she checked my husbands vaccination records, and luckily he didn´t need any! she sent us in the smae building to get the blood drawn for RPR, but then the last thing was the chest x-rays. her office is at 4100 apoquindo, en las condes. the chest xrays have to be taken at plaza italia, and the radiologist only works mornings . so we were able to get the films taken by the tech, but the radiologist couldnt fill out the forms untill monday. so dra. grossman told us to just come 1 day prior to interview and pick up the xrays and forms from the radiologist, then head to her building and she could give us the complete packet. long story short - the medical costs 90.000 cash unless you need vaccines which are extra. the labwork and the xrays are included in the 90.000. she gave me aboleta, so this week I am going to try and see if my isapre will reimburse me something. you need to bring 2 of those same passport photos we have been turning in with every app, lol. don´t forget them! if you book with dra. grossman, don´t let the secretary "poo-poo" you into accepting an appointment you know won´t work. I would see if you can get one in the morning, and find out the exact schedule of the radiologist (dra. grossman has the number of his office). if you are a santiaguino, this isn´t a problem, but for gente from the regiones, every extra night is more hotel, food, metro costs). etc. email the embassy and ask if you need anything else before the interview, even if your NVC letter says you are good to go. hope this helps someone!	jessicaruizw	Female	Chile	2012-12-01 12:52:00

National Visa Center (Dept of State)	i-864, q #25	hey guys.....i read a ton of threads about q25, but I couldn´t find any pertaining to my question (they were all about whether it was necessary the 3 years, what if i didn´t file, etc). My question is..... I have 3 years of tax transcripts which I will include. Which box do I check? the first box says: I have filed taxes for the 3 msot recent years, but have attached ONLY the most recent year´s returns. The second box says: I have attached returns for the 2nd and 3rd most recent years. The first box says that I only have 1 year of return, but the 2nd box doesnt say "I have filed taxes." It sounds like the embassy has sent you the packet 3, which includes information on the medical exam, the documents that you need for the interview, and the interview date. So, to answer your question, yes, it is normal. Once your papers leave NVC and arrive to the embassy, they will send you the packet of info. Though, from others before us (and in our own experience) this was the part where others (and ourselves) saw some problems. So if you do not see the packet in the mail, give them a call or email to follow up. I am not sure what you want to know about the interview. Feel free to send me a PM (tambien te puedo escribir en espanol si es mas facil). Overall, our interview experience was very easy and painless. We both agreed that it was pretty anti-climatic, as all the work came in before hand and the actual interview was about 5 minutes long. Nothing unusual. Good luck! [/quote] hola Mo_Mati... es genial que me puedan escribir en español... bueno... les contare que mi novio contacto a la embajada el lunes... el mismo lunes le contestaron y le dieron el dia de mi cita y le dijeron que un paquete con instrucciones me habia sido enviado... el cual aun no lo recibo... con mi novio llamamos al DOS nos confirmaron el dia entregado por ellos para mi cita... asi que el miercoles hicimos la reserva de mi ticket... y hoy lo compre ya que tengo mucha fe en que conseguire mi visa... y porque de lo contrario sino lo compraba hoy perdia la reserva... asi que me atrevi... mis consultas son referente a cuanto se demoro en recibir el paquete?...la entrevista en si se atienden en ventanilla... si atiende el consul y que tipo de preguntas le hicieron... en fue en lo que mas se fijaron... cualquier detalle que pueda darme me ayudara... gracias por contestarme... saludos y bendiciones... Mexico, Latin & South America	COLOMBIANOS EN VISA K1	hola a todos... les deseo de todo corazon una feliz navidad y un prospero ano nuevo lleno de muchas bendiciones para todos y deseos cumplidos... les contare que ya estoy en estados unidos llegue el 29 como a las 10 de la noche... pense que el proceso de imigracion seria largo por algunas experiencias que he leido en el foro... pero gracias a Dios todo salio bien... ingrese por miami... hice la fila como todos para registrarme me atendio un oficial que me hizo unas pocas preguntas me tomo las huellas lo cual no fueron mas de 5 minutos... de ahi me dijo que debia pasar a una oficina a la cual fui de ahi dos oficiales diligenciaron el sobre amarillo que yo traia... me dijeron que tengo hasta el 29 de marzo para casarme y que no salga de los estados unidos hasta que cambie mi estatus y obtenga mi tarjeta... eso fue todo... quede plop con lo rapido que fue... de ahi fui a buscar mis maletas y a encontrarme con mi amor... muchas gracias a todos por su apoyo... les deseo de todo corazon que sus procesos salgan adelante pronto y puedan estar con el ser amado.... Mexico, Latin & South America	COLOMBIANOS EN VISA K1	hola a todos... espero que esten muy bien... bueno les contare que no me fue muy bien que digamos... lo bueno es que me queda una esperanza porque no todo esta perdido... como he escrito soy colombiana pero estoy realizando mi proceso en chile... aca es diferente de lo que he leido en colombia... ya que me citaron a la 1:30pm... fui la primera de 4 personas que fueron entrevistadas para visa de inmigrante... les contare que primero me llamaron a una ventanilla y entregue unos papeles solicitados por ellos como el I-134, mi registro civil... y esas cosas... ah... se me olvidada no recibi el paquete 4 ya que todo lo que necesitaba fue enviado en el paquete 3... bueno... le entregue los papeles a una mujer que me pregunto acerca de mi relacion con mi prometido y luego me dijo que me sentara y que el consul me llamaria... como a los 40 minutos me llamo el consul y me empezo a preguntar acerca de mi relacion como yo le contestaba rapido y segura me dijo que si habia practicado?... ajaja... yo le dije que no era asi solo que yo conocia a mi prometido... bueno... luego de como 10 minutos de preguntas las cuales yo pense que ivan bien... me dijo que no podria darme la visa en ese momento ya que yo carecia de evidencias de relacion... entonces yo saque todos los mail, tarjetas, facturas de fedex, fotos... en fin todo lo que tenia... pero lo unico que no tenia era recibos de llamadas hacia mi prometido... no los tengo porque nosotros hablamos por internet... y aveces cuando lo he llamado he comprado una de esas tarjetas con las cuales llamar sale mas barato... ademas le explique que mi telefono solo hacia llamadas locales y por eso no tenia esos papeles... ademas para colmo de males se me quedaron las tarjetas con las que he llamado... asi que me falto esa parte... entonces el se fue y al rato regreso y me dijo que me seria agendada una nueva entrevista ya que no tenia suficiente evidencia de relacion... yque ellos me contactarian me entrego un papel de como de chequeo de documentos y tiqueo la parte donde dice evidencia de relacion me lo entrego junto con el pasaporte y me dijo que me llamarian yo le dije que cuando y me dijo que no sabia pero que ellos se contactarian conmigo... cuando sali estaba muerta en vida... aunque sabia no que habia sido negada... asi que corri a un cyber y llame a mi prometido ambos nos sentimos muy tristes y el me dijo que me viniera a mi casa y conectara para que hablaramos mas calmados... asi que eso hice y cuando llegue a mi casa y me conecte y mi prometido me dijo que lo habian llamado del consulado y que le habian dicho que dentro de las proximas dos semanas o en enero me seria agendada otra entrevista para dar mas evidencia de nuestra relacion ya que para ellos es importante estar seguros de que es verdadera ya que nosotros nos conocimos por internet en un sitio web y solo nos hemos visto en persona una vez... nose que pensar yo quiero ser positiva y lo unico que me alegra es que por lo menos nos queda una esperanza... ya que si la hubiesen querido negar lo hubiesen hecho... ahora necesito un concejo... como puedo hacer?... yo tengo el historial de conversacion en mi msn... sera que lo imprimo y lo llevo?... porfa ayudenme... y si lo debo imprimir como hago porque veo que eso no tiene opcion de imprimir.... gracias por todo... por sus buenos deseos y apoyo... por haber estado pendientes de mi.... les deseo muchas bendiciones y apunten esto para que no les suceda... espero sugerencias... saludos.... No se le olvide que necesita fotocopias de los W2s de los impuestos que imprimió por TurboTax, porque sólo las fotocopias de los impuestos no son válidas sin los W2s correspondientes. Mexico, Latin & South America	COLOMBIANOS EN VISA K1	hola a todos... siento mucho lo que te sucedio Brillit... solo te queda tener mucha fe y esperar en el Señor que todo te saldra bien... bueno de mi les contare que el miercoles tengo mi entrevista... que estoy nerviosa y solo espero que todo salga bien... les escribo porque tengo una duda y nose que hacer... a mi novio no le quisieron dar la carta en el trabajo... ellos dicen que la informacion que desee el consulado debera pedirselas a ellos directamente... es esto normal?... con mi novio adjuntaremos los correos de el solicitandola y la respuesta que ellos le enviaron a su mail... adjuntaremos sus tres ultimos pagos, la carta de su banco y sus taxes del 2006 y el 2007... ya que los del 2008 aun no estan listos... que opinan?... saludos... y gracias por toda su ayuda... Mexico, Latin & South America	COLOMBIANOS EN VISA K1	hola a todos se que he estado un poco perdida pero como me dieron la cita para el 17... no hay como mucho que decir... mi paquete 3 lo recibi el dia 3/11/2008... y lo envie ayer... no senti que tenia ningun afan ya que la cita estaba programada... y para enviarlo quise estar segura de que mi novio tenia el listo el support... y lo firmo ante un notario el sabado asi que espere y los mande ayer... me habia procupado mas... como estoy haciendo el proceso en un pais que no es el mio... por el tema de los papeles que se les ocurra pedir... pero gracias a Dios de colombia solo me pidieron el registro de nacimiento... y ese lo habia mandado traer en julio... asi que lo tenia... ellos me resaltaron con un resaltador los papeles que debia presentar... estaba la parte de las traducciones pero no las resaltaron... asi que no las tiquee... el formalario que me toco aca no es el ds-2100 sino el dsl-1076... nose en que interniera eso pero bueno... el cuento es que ya los mande... les envio muchos saludos... felicidades a las niñas con procesos aprobados.... diana te envio muchos saludos que Dios y te bendiga y gracias por los concejo... estare en contacto para contar cuando me llegue el paquete 4... y para contarls referente a la entrevista tambien... saludos.... Mexico, Latin & South America	COLOMBIANOS EN VISA K1	hola a todos... espero que sus procesos esten caminando y afianzandose... yo les contare que soy una loca... pero ayer cuando vi la cara de mi novio lo positivo y feliz que estaba frente a nuestro proceso y los planes que tenia para mi llegada... no pude negarme... asi que compre mi ticket y solo le pido a Dios que mi visa sea aprobada el 17 de dic en mi entrevista... gracias a todos por sus concejos por leer los posts... con paginas como estas una no se siente sola en este tipo de procesos que son tan largos... ya que no hay nada que uno desee mas que estar junto al ser amado... esteremos en contacto para comentarles referente a mi paquete 3... que aun no recibo... y no estara de mas a quien le interese como son los procesos aca... saludos y bendiciones... Diana hola Diana... si solo me queda apelar a mi jesucristo bendito para que toque el corazon de ese consul y me de mi visa... el problema es que por la fecha... ya que he estado mirando justo es el tiempo de cambio de temporada baja a alta y los tiquetes suben cas el doble... y como mi tiquete me lo comprare yo como una manera de ayudar a mi novio en todo lo que se nos viene no quiero arrepentirme despues por no haberlo comprado o andar corriendo buscando como irme para alla... ademas las aereolineas como una manera de asegurarse te hacen comprarlo de una... yo reserve ayer... hoy llame y me dicen que para que me respeten la reserva debo comprarlo a mas tardar el 25 sino la pierdo y no aseguran que pueda retomarla... y si hablamos de valores lo reserve en casi 350.000 pesos chilenos en avianca y de ayer a hoy la tarifa para el mismo dia ha aumentado a 386.000 en dolares es como de 620usd a 680usd... este es un dato aproximado... y despues del 31 aumentan a casi el doble... yo me siento segura... no 100x100 por como son estas cosas... pero segura igual... hoy lo volvere a conversar con mi novio haber... mañana tendre que ir a comprarlo ya que solo atienden de lunes a viernes ... gracias igual por tu punto de vista... te felicito por tu seguridad... saludos y bendiciones...
