anyway, aside from the PHILIPPINES Airport fee.. what else FEE that i need to pay @ the airport??
Do i need to bring Money dollar??

You know there's actually TWO fees that are paid at the PH airport, right?

First there is a travel tax the PH citizens have to pay, around 1,600Php.

Second is the Terminal Fee that everybody must pay, 750Php.

If you purchase your tickets in the PH sounds like many of the travel agencies collect the travel tax, just be sure it's reflected on your receipt & ticket.

Philippineshas anyone used a consultant
Why would you need a consultant?

If they're honest here's what they'll tell you:

=> Answer all questions truthfully.

=> Only provide real documents, never present fakes.

=> Be prepared to answer questions about your Finance/Spouse.

Do you really need to donate 3,000Php to someone for less info than you can get from VJ for free?

Has this consultant ever been present at a family based Visa Interview? I highly doubt it, so where is his information from?

Here you have access to first-hand accounts of the actual interviews.

QUOTE (itzallgood @ Oct 31 2009, 02:08 PM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}>
My girl is so fixxed on lining up at 4am 'cause that is what everyone else is doing. What can I do to convince her that it is ok to line up at noon? Have many VJ'rs done this? I dont hear people talking about it here.\

Also, her friend told her that she has to fast for SLEC exam. I told her that is not true, but she is believes she must fast.

My wife insisted on getting there so early (like 6/7am) even though I pointed out to her several posts here about going at noon instead.

In the end all I could do was be there to listen to her vent about how much she hated the process.

Pinays are some awesome women but when they get an idea in their head you'll never change it, not even with a notarized letter from God.

I can't say for sure if it's better to go later, just that if she's dead-set on going early don't make an argument over it.

I thought we only get weird looks in the Philippines about a tall American with a short Pinay?

Here there are 3 main reasons we will get weird looks and stared at:

1. American Women: They seem angry that we found our Love elsewhere.

2. American Men: They seem jealous that our Love is so Young & Beautiful.

3. Everyone: They seem to think that maybe our Love isn't of Legal Age and we must be Dirty Perverts.

To each of them I say this:

1. American Women: I don't choose who I Love, I was lucky enough to have the resources to go to the ends of the earth in my search and luckier that I didn't have to go all they way but was able to get off at the last exit before the end which is the PH wink.gif

2. American Men: STFU and get your own!

3. Everyone: Ha ha ha, sure I'm a Dirty Pervert but only with my Pinay Wifie who by the way is of legal age {even if only barely} devil.gif

Seriously, I seldom let the ignorance & jealousy of others impact my life.

Wow,

This thread has been a learning experience for me...

So much for the idea of Sexually Repressed Filipinas! All this time I was thinking that my Anna was overcoming that quite well and now I see that it's just a myth even though many filipinas seem more than happy to help spread that myth wink.gif

The real shocker though is the use of LBFM, I would have though that would be offensive. When I first encountered that phrase I googled it and found a website by the same name. All I can say was it wasn't very flattering to our Beautiful Filipina Sisters mad.gif

Of course Anna and I tease each other in ways that others would never understand but I could never apply that LBFM label to her after seeing the website. I will however joke with her about her favorite activity, HP {Hard Pounding} as we've come to call it devil.gif

A: Little People of America (LPA) defines dwarfism as a medical or genetic condition that usually results in an adult height of 4'10" or shorter, among both men and women, although in some cases a person with a dwarfing condition may be slightly taller than that. The average height of an adult with dwarfism is 4’0, but typical heights range from 2’8 to 4’8.

You definitely are stretching this beyond its intended definition...being a race that has a tendency to be smaller has nothing to do with dwarfism. What exactly would be your example of a filipino who was actually a little person...comparing a definition of an american group of smaller people to a race of people that are smaller is just shortsighted.

Define a Genetic Condition...

Technically your race is a genetic condition. It is a function of her genetics that she is short, there are tall filipinos, I've met a few that are taller than I am.

I do hope that my posting didn't offend anyone as that wasn't my intention. The question was asked "At what height is someone a midget?", the LPA's definition is commonly accepted in America for the purposes of answering that and nowhere does it mention racial background.

Besides, height (just like age) is nothing more than a number as I eluded to in my response.

As for an example of a filipino who is actually a little person, well our little guy, the soon to be infamous "Little Mr. Gabby" is only 2 years old and I would definately call him a little person as he is a person for sure and as he only reaches half-past my knee I doubt anyone would argue that he is certianly little!

Ha ha ha ha...

Now back to the fun & friendly spirit of the OP!

Yeah, I'll agree on that... Anna is 4'11", I'm 6'3" what stings her though is that my teenage daughters are both just over 5' and the younger one is still growing!

I don't know about K Visas not getting pink slip, CO could have just forgot to give it to her.

From what I've seen here the important things are that they kept her Passport and had her pay Air21 for delivery. I would say don't worry, she's approved based on those two things. You can call the State Department just to be sure though...

Here is how I've been passing the time over the last week:

Getting Gabby's Room Ready

Hunting for deals online, one evening I left work a 4:30pm to drive down for the bed, swung over to get most of the furniture and finally got home around 9pm.

So far I've spent just over $300 on his bedroom, still need to get the mattress, bedding & a couple of miscellaneous items (such as curtains).

I hope Gabby will enjoy it all...

PhilippinesFEDEX
The problem with shipping things via FedEx or UPS is that they use the same corrupt criminal local shipper Air21.

If you must use a courier to send from the US to the PH then use DHL. They actually have DHL employees in the PH and if there is a bogus tariff issue you can apply pressure from the US to the PH employees. They got a 12,000Php import fee reduced to 600Php on a laptop computer!

We've also used DHL to ship from PH to US and everything arrives in the package. They catalog the contents before sealing & shipping the boxes.

If they have your paperwork received then you should be calling them to request an interview date. In the meantime get her medical done and make sure she has the documentation complete for her interview.

One of the things I like about CR-1 over the K Visas is that NVC set our interview date so we didn't have to worry about how long it takes for the paperworks to get checked-in at USEM.

Another thing I like is that there will be no need for AOS, our next USCIS dealings will be 3rd quarter of 2011 when we file for removal of conditions.

Regarding your chances of getting a Nov interview all I can say is that with each passing day it gets less & less.

PhilippinesCan an immigrant divorce their spouse?
It is my understanding that as long as they retain their Philippine Citizenship then the answer is Yes & No. If they abandon their Philippine Citizenship after becoming a US Citizen then Yes.

For the Yes & No, here is how it works: The US will recognize the divorce (which is the Yes part) but the Philippines will not recognize it so if they return to the Philippines then they can be subject to arrest for Bigamy.
