hi james and megan, can u track your money order?mine is not,my fiance went to the post office and they said they cannot track it.

I can. Do you know what type of money order you have? We used Moneygram and that allows us to phone a number and input our MO number and it will tell us the status of it.

I think my mind will be at peace once they accept the payment, I just want to know something is being done to it! blush.gif

we got MO from post office.too we cannot track it.I am hoping that our NOA1 is coming soon,

Hello,

I am just done with my annulment and have my annulment decree in my hand now..We cannot start filing our K1 petition unless i have that decree becoz in G-325a form you should have to fill up the date and place of termination of marriage.

So i advice you to wait for your decree then file again. I know if u file ur petition without your decree u will be denied. How did you fill up your G-325a?

K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & ProceduresAfter an Annulment that took over four years Sent out I-129F Today
QUOTE (John_Anna Marie @ Feb 26 2009, 08:09 PM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}>
After knowing Anna Marie for nearly five years, an annulment case that dragged on for more than four them, today I sent out the I-129F petition to the California Service Center. My finance' name is Anna Marie from the Cagayan De Oro part of the Philippines. We met each other in May of 2004 and only started the I-129F petition TODAY.

Although she was estranged from her husband for many years, in November of 2004, we began the annulment process. It wasn't long before we found out that it wasn't going to be easy. In a short version of the annulment case included starting and nearly finishing the case with one judge that was removed from the bench being charged with rape. After a long wait to get yet another judge in, the trial started over once again. With the same testimony and witness'. But before that judge could make a decision he died while on the bench and the case was left in legal limbo once again. We waited nearly another 6-8 months to get yet another judge in the court to be able to start and go through the entire case for a THIRD TIME. After nearly four years since the case was started, it was all passed over to the judge for the decision. Anna Marie and I just got word on the Feb 16, 2009, that the case was decided in our favor and it was finally over.

So, after four years and four months she was finally free to marry. And today I stood in line at the post office with tears nearly running down my face and I sent out the I-129F, which I have been preparing for nearly FIVE years, to finally start the petition.

The real question we asked ourselves through this whole experience was this... Was it or is it worth it? and the answer that came back every time was a resounding YES. I would hope this would be an encouragement to anyone else that maybe going through an annulment right now hang in there it will happen. For Anna and I, it took over four years. But we have the rest of our lives together because of it.

We will keep you up dated on what is going on.

Your stub or copy or whatever part you keep should have a 1-800 phone number or website you can go to to check. It is preferable and easier to use a personal check, easier to track and if something gets lost you can cancel that check easily and issue a new one (you can do the same with a money order, but much more troublesome)

Do you have delivery confirmation the package was delivered? Always use certified mail or some sort of trackable delivery service

the person that works with our papers advice us not to use personal check becoz it may take time to cleared that check and it will cause of delayed.so he advice us to use money order.

I was browsing some of the other CSC topics and see everyone seems to be reporting the same thing; there's been no activity at the CSC this week. I sent my 129F Monday; confirmed it was received Tuesday (by the post office) but my check hasn't been cashed yet and of course no NOA1. Maybe they're all on vacation this week...

Thank you, everyone, for the feedback. The link was exactly what I was having trouble locating. Pushbrk, I have paid close attention to the I-129F package checklist and assembling instructions. From what I can tell, there are no exact instructions pertaining to this topic other than :1.Payment as required by USCIS. Use a personal check so you can track the payment. Money Orders are also accepted.

Perhaps I'm overlooking a link. Anyways, I do appreciate the concern. Thank you. Oh, and my profile is updated. I am in fact a Newbie. Forgive me! Posted Image

Is it me?, or can I not find the answer to this question?

I'm sending in my I-129F package tomorrow. I'm going to use a personal check for the $455 fee so I can track it, but do I "Pay to the order of" USCIS? I'm almost positive this correct but I cannot find a confirmation on this site. Much thanks to anyone you can calm my thoughts.

K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & ProceduresI made an I-129F misake! What do I do?
Doesn't matter where you live in Russia, the K-1 interview will always take place in Moscow. When I applied for the K-1 petition in May 2010, I also put St. Petersburg–my wife's home city–and Moscow was eventually set as the interview location.

Also, pass this site on to your fiancee: zaokeanom.com/forum

Lots of info here for those immigrating from Russia to USA. What to expect, form examples, interview scenarios, and on and on.

If you have any questions, please, ask away. Per my timeline you can see I recently went through what you are now going through.

US Citizenship General DiscussionN400 Part 7 - Filing Under 3-Year Eligibility Rule
Sorry, I'm no help at answering your question, but I am in a similar position. Was approved as Permanent Resident in November 2005 also, and am looking to Naturalize as soon as possible also... I'm also interested in this answer!

QUOTE (Loobzer @ Aug 25 2008, 12:08 AM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}>
I haven't been able to find any details for this specific question in any of the existing threads, so I hope someone here will be able to answer.

My wife is filing her N-400 this week as soon as we know how to proceed on this question. She is basing her eligibility on being an LPR for the last 3 years and being married to me, a US citizen by birth. She has been an LPR here in the US since November 20, 2005, and we are just now within the 90 day window of that date and can apply. Prior to November 20, 2005, we both lived and worked in Hong Kong which is where we met and were married in 2004.

Our problem with the N-400 is Part 7. The first two questions ask for the number of days and number of trips outside the US in the last FIVE YEARS. My wife has only been living in the US for the last 3 years however. Since she became an LPR in Nov 2005, she has only been out of the US for 40 days on 2 separate trips, which is fine. But based on the entirety of the last five years (including two years of which we resided in Hong Kong), she will have been outside of the US over 700 days!

The third part of Part 7 asks for the dates of each trip outside the US, but ONLY since she became an LPR, which is fine. This apparently is where she will demonstrate that her time outside the US has been minimal in the last 3 years.

Are the first two questions just worded poorly? For those applying based on 3 year eligibility, does the USCIS really only want to know how many days and trips she's had outside the US for the last THREE years, or do we really need to put the amount for the last FIVE years, even though only the last three years are relevant to her application?

Our current plan is to put the numbers for just the last 3 years, and include an attachment explaining more or less what I've just written above along with the actual numbers of days and trips outside the US for all five years just in case they really do want those numbers.

Any thoughts or suggestions on this dilemma would be GREATLY appreciated!

her grandma introduced us, but we are truly in love. I made 2 trips in 08 last one in november for our engagement party. We even bought a vehicle together and put it under both our names. she had at least 100 pages worth of correspondence between us, all our cards sent to each other, all my plane tickets, hotel recpts and she brought an album of all our pictures, what else could they possibly want. The only other think I can think of is the fact that her grandma introduced her to me... they might think its a set up since the Phils is such a high fraud country.

If there is absolutely nothing that will change their mind, would you agree that I should just go back home and marry then file a cr1? just in case, what would plan B be?

i felt bad to hear that your fiancee got denied during her interview. I would say maybe it is the best she didnt told them that you were introduced by her grandma or maybe just say you met online.

I feel so nervous also to hear that there is k1 interview got denied.

hi maset,

I would suggest to have your operation done here in the philippines becoz its only cheaper here compare to USA.Aside from that, there is a laser surgery like radioactive. I have a hyperthyrodism too and had my radioactive last june 2008 and believe me the lump in my neck has totally gone after 2 months.Try to ask to your endocrinologist if you are advise to undergo radioactive. It's a bit expensive compare to the operation.

lyn

really?! thats good to know. how long did the whole process go? will it take me a month, you know, like after the procedure, i need to be quarantined right? coz i thats radioactive! if its not too much to ask, can you give me a ballpark on the cost of radiocative therapy vs operation? just PM me pls. thank you so much kicking.gif

For me i had 3 days quarantined in the hospital then after that u can go home. You didnt feel anything in neck at first, after a week u will noticed the lump got swollen a bit.Actually the cost radioactive depends upon the size of your goiter.if your goiter is small then u will get small dose only..for me i got 2 dosage and each dose cost more or less 15,000 plus the Isolated room in the hospital (the room is expensive than the other normal room), doctor's fee and etc.But before you undergo the radioactive you have to undergo thyroid scan and TSH first then 15 days iodine diet (walang salt sa pagkain, no eggs, bread, no dairy products.) The total cost more or less 60T..surgery is lesser but my gasgas kana sa neck mo tsaka parang 4 doctors yung mag assist sayo kase merong doc sa heart mo, the dugo mo, of course yung endoc mo nakalimutan ung isa.Actually my sis in law is now in manila para paopera sa goiter nya. Wla kase xang option for radioactive talagang surgery lang ang option nya.

So i would suggest sayo ask ka nlang sa endoc mo if ok ka maradioactive..if ok ka then go for it..dont worry about radioactive painomin kalang ng doctor mo ng gamot parang malaking capsule then after mo matake yun wala ng pwding lumapit sayo.hehehehehe..

ok, given that i wont fail biggrin.gif (thanks for making me calm down) how about the part where we plan to have the operation in the US? is that a good idea? we know its cheaper here, but we just dont want to get delayed further coz we plan to marry on the same date of his proposal, which is September 14 wub.gif and there's still so many things to do unsure.gif thanks again in advancec for the replies luv.gif

Little help please? It should be time soon for me to send I-129f and I-134 documents to my fiance and
I was wondering what would be the best and fastest way to do this? I don't think DHL goes there anymore
and am pretty sure neither does Fed-Ex or UPS. So...just use the post office?

DO NOT use the post office. Fed-Ex does deliver there and I am pretty sure UPS does also. I used Fed-Ex.

I appreciate the response..but I am having trouble because they don't seem to deliver to this particular
area..Butuan City, Mindanao.

Hi i would suggest u to use FedEx..There is FedEx and DHL in butuan City..I live near to Butuan City also.My fiance used FedEx all the time whenever he want to send something for me.
