Canada	Got Baby? Avez vous un bebe?	I had an ultrasound last week and her growth has 'normalized' so it seems they're going to let me carry her to term and deliver naturally. I agree with you girls, I'm not a fan of early inductions or planned C-sections unless there is a serious medical issue. Its important to me that she comes out when she is ready. I have a friend who was induced the other day at 38 weeks because her doctor was going on vacation. That's absolutely ridiculous to me... No way I would agree to that. I don't care, have a different doctor deliver her. I hit 37 weeks yesterday, I can't wait to meet her Everything's is ready to go, I'm just waiting... om my how time flies...i swear it was like 2 months ago you told us you were expecting! Canada	Got Baby? Avez vous un bebe?	Oh I'm sorry they are talking c-section already, some doctors really like to push c-sections. I hope everything goes the way you want, and if you really want to avoid a c-section I would really push why they want to do it. If it is just because your size and they think you can't have a big baby then I would keep pushing, but that is just me. You can always tell the doctor you want to try before you head in for a c-section they can still have everything set if it turns out you do need it. Since they sent you to a perinatologist is it that doctor or you regular Ob wanting the section? Ya i was wondering what is with doctors doing that. And its not just here i remmber up north people i knew having to have c-sections. last year alone 5 ppl i knew 4 of them had c-sections. What every happend to letting the baby come out on its own? i mean i can understand if your like a week over due or something but if its not oiut by your due date half the docs want to cut you open! i mean GEEZ. Canada	Got Baby? Avez vous un bebe?	I am having a SEVERE case of baby fever, but until my husband can get through his Canadian immigration and get working that is definitely on hold. At least by that time I will have more then enough hours in for mat leave again!! I just hope that we get settled and into good jobs soon or else I will be too old for a 2nd! Ahh yes..the joys of being in Canada for that. Too bad we dont have maternity leave here like they do in Canada. Makes it so stress free having the baby and not having to worry about sticking them in a day care at a young age. I'd much rather be home raising a baby for 6 months then have to rush back to work. Canada	Got Baby? Avez vous un bebe?	well seeing as how i'm going to be 39 this year...i went and had a complete wellness check or w/e ..i call it a normal physical with blood tests done. Should have done it sooner lol. I mentioned to my new DR that i was having major hot flash issues and was wondering if its possible i could be in pre meno, turned out that my thryoid was really low. just did another batch of bloodtests and she had to double my dosage of thyroid meds. I asked her to check my hormone levels cuz i swear i get up in the morning the thermostat says its 70 and i feel like its 100. Could be my body is still adjusting to the meds i guess. Lost 4 lbs and she explained the weight gain of 20lbs or so since i got here was probably due to my thyroid being underactive. Other than that she said my sugar was a bit high but everythign else was normal. Sooo i dunno what to do at this point. I mean i would love for us to be able to have a child, i know David would be an amazing father. his medical insurance is through his work the Salvation army, but im not sure exactly what it covers..since they are a religious organization, i think they only allow certain types of pregnancy help. And i have no idea what this stuff costs. All i do know is if i wait for us to get a new car, pay off a few more bills..get more stuff for the house,, well, i know we'll never end up doing this. I"ll just end up being the crazy dog lady lol. either way i have to go back for more blood tests in 4 weeks to check my thyroid again. having to go in every couple of months is gonna annoy the heck out of me. Good luck gals! I'm getting rather large, but everything is going great. 9 more weeks! (Hopefully a little sooner...) holy moly!! only 9 weeks left...already??? lol Wow that went by fast! Canada	Got Baby? Avez vous un bebe?	I was almost 37 when we conceived and while we were not doing anything to prevent pregnancy we were not really trying either. What worked for us was me going to Canada for 3 weeks to have my interview/wait for my visa!!!So I consider myself very lucky. I was very worried because all of my friend who were around my age and became 1st time mom's had a pretty hard time...2 had to do IVF. Like Ontarkie said head to your Dr (OB/GYN would probably be better for this)and have them do some tests to make sure all is working well. You may also want to get Hubby checked as well...if he is about the same age. Men don't tend to deterioate as quickly as women, but it will be reassuring to know that all is good. Definitely start taking a pre-natal vitamin or at least a folic acid suppliment. I go on another web forum www.thebump.com for all my pregnancy/parenting needs. It is much like VJ and seems to have a pretty good community. I know that they have a board for trying to concieve (ttc). I am sure that you would get a lot of info and support there. They have some over 35 boards as well. I have found it very helpful when I have questions or needed support. They have a very good breastfeeding board that helped me solve a lot of the issues I have had. I was reading a few things and did see that you need to start taking Folic Acid at least 3 months before or something like that., I already take a multivitamin but then David pointed out those Materna (?) from Centrum i think they are. Kim- I don't know if you have been to the doctors to get a few test done to make sure all is working right, like hormones and such but they say if you have been trying for 6months see the doctor. That's for us over 35. It could be something so simple that they just need to tweak you up, but at least you would know. If you have gone and its just your head messing with you I'm so sorry you are going through that. I was told my tubes were completely blocked and would have to do InVitro, but here I am pregnant the old fashion way. I will be 38 this yr also. So please do not let your age scare you the way I let it torment me. I have met so many women lately who are older having their first baby at the age of 40+. Well as soon as we find out house and move i have plans to see a doctor. For the most part i didn't worry as i figured it was all the stress of a LD relationship, immigration, living back with my family etc etc. But a year after being here I'm still not pregnant. Course my noisy nieghbours are driving me batty, and i am anxious to get out of this place and i tend to get stressed out easy nowadays. We did find out from his dad that the insurance company will cover the cost of some procedures to help get pregnant. I'm not 100% clear on who what etc with that stuff but at least now we know we can get help that way. For now I'm concentrating on a new home and if in 6 months once we have it and are settled nothing is new then i definitely will go see the Doctor...well as soon as i find one! lol. Canada	Got Baby? Avez vous un bebe?	So about 5 of my friends are pregnant. Each of them is exactly 5 weeks from each other, one of them is having twins. One of the guys who has a wife who is not pregnant was joking the other night and wouldn't let her talk to the freinds cuz it was "a plague and i don't want her catching it". in a way it was funny but also sad. Kinda crazy how every 5 weeks for the last couple months we find out someone is pregnant. And of course they are like its been 6 weeks, this means someone here is a week pregnant..and they joked it was me. But alas, again, it is not me. and as much as I'm happy for them, i felt like a total outsider as they all sat there reading baby books and talking pregnancy stuff. I just sad their sad like, wondering when my time was. I know things have changed in the last few years with what exactly are "childbearing years" etc, but I'll be 38 now this year. Just out of curiosity, anyone know how hard it is around my age or know of any ways to improve my chances? I really wanna hear the giggle and pitter patter of small feet chasing my dogs lol. As for the checklist, i did not send any of that in either i just brought it all with me to the interview. They typically use DHL, and you can figure out the numbers and or set of numbers used for tracking it. Removing Conditions on Residency General Discussion	CSC Address for Courrier	Does anyone know the exact address of CSC for a courier delivery like fedex or ups? The form only shows the PO Box, and i remember when i filed my k1 way back that there was a physical address for deliveries however i'm unable to find that on the uscis site, and a google search didn't help either. I saw an old post here from many years ago and just want to know if anyoen recently has an address for them. Removing Conditions on Residency General Discussion	Address of Residence Question	technically you are supposed to notify them withing 10 TEN days of your move, also the sponsor who filled out the i-864 needs to advise them as well withing 30 days using form i-865. Otherwise you risk your residency. here is the uscis link stating the time frame you have to notify them and DOHS. http://www.uscis.gov...00045f3d6a1RCRD as for multiple addresses its not problem, just attach a supplemental sheet with your name a# and question number, and detail where when how long you lived at each address. Hello, before i cry for joy here i wanna ask if anyone else got their approval in an official USCIS envelope but on what looks almost to be a really crappy plain printout form letter? Like there is NO letterhead on it, and its from the local chicago office.  Also my online status still has the Initial review status from October.   even the signature is just a really shitty stamp on the paper from the director at the chicago office.   Is this for real?    and the zip it was mailed from was Lincoln NE???  Edited by Kimbear, 10 May 2013 - 02:36 PM. Removing Conditions on Residency General Discussion	I-751 October 2012 filers	Quite a few people here have written threads, who did not have the original letter, and were stopped and had many issues trying to get though customs.  I would highly recommend you go through the house and find the original.   They don't understand they're playing with people's lives. Removing Conditions on Residency General Discussion	I-751 October 2012 filers	Hey guys and gals, did your approval notice those of you that received one look almost fake and generic? like really really cheap? lol i posted that question in the roc forums as well.   my letter looks like a elementary kid wrote it almost LOL.   the date on the letter / decision date says May 3rd, the stamp on the envelope says May 7th.  Its signed my the Chicago office director with a really bad smudged stamp signature LOL.  but was mailed from Nebraska..i guess they really do have Monkeys working for them in California! My RFE letter states that will have to shoe a "Good Faith Marriage" spanning from the time we got married until now. The issue is most of the bills are in my name (since my wife hasn't really established her credit yet). I was thinking about sending these things as additional evidence - Ultrasound, medical docs (my wife is currently pregnant) - We just bought a house. The mortgage is my name, but I will need to get the title/deed in her name as well because they want to see that we are residing together. -I will send them our home insurance policy with both our names on it as well as car insurance. -We have a new savings account with our name on it (although I have already sent them info on 2 of our checking accounts) -Our most recent tax return transcript (I already sent them 2010-2011) -I will need to add her name to a utility bill (I guess the phone bill is not enough). If you think of anything else, let me know. Thanks What about any life insurance, costco membership cards etc? Do you have any medical or 401k through work that has her as the beneficiary? Our insurance cards show both our names on them with the same plan numbers. or statements from the diff office visits? Does it mean I am eligible to file for citizenship come October this year? I came into the states in Jan 2011 on a CR1 visa......But with my calculations and read ups I don't have to wait to get the 10 year green card if i am in the qualifying period( 90 days before the 3 years) pls correct me if I am wrong? Quite a few people have filed for naturalization since ROC took so long. what it does is forces them to make a decision on the ROC so you can proceed with naturalization. a few people have gotten that done and approved without ever even having the roc finished! crazy eh? Removing Conditions on Residency General Discussion	I-751 October 2012 filers	Hi again friends, Received the ASC Appointment Notice (I-797C, Notice of Action) in the mail today. Biometrics scheduled for Nov. 27, 2012. I'm thinking about changing it though, since the appointment time sort of conflicts with an important work meeting. I suppose I could miss my important work meeting and go to the originally scheduled ASC appointment instead. Do you guys have any advice/thoughts? Also, USCIS talks about the so-called "paperwork reduction act," but isn't that completely bogus? To request an appointment change, you need to: (i) Send original to Alexandra ASC (ii) Send copy to Vermont (where I filed the 751) (iii) Bring another copy to the new appointment notice, when I do receive it So that's 3 pieces of paper, 2 envelopes, and time/gas/resources/effort... Could've all been easily resolved with a simple online scheduling system, setup some SQL scripts... or even just use google enterprise solutions. Obama wins. America wins.
