Canada	AOS'rs...	lol so i've gotten 4 uscis emails now. first one was status : card production ordered, then decision then card production ordered, now i just got another one saying post decision activity and that my application was approved.. is it just me or the order they send the emails in is mixed up..makes for confusion lol Woohoo!!!! I am sooo happy Kimbear, if I was not at work, I would actually be dancing! A very well deserved AOS approval, hats off to your patience and strong will! I know you had to wait a long time for your K-1 approval and then the AOS was a pain too! But its finally over, Congratulations! Ok so i'm confused. i got a letter from uscis today it looks like just a confirmation of my phone call back in Novemeber on the 19th, stating that i called and my service request number. and its dated December 1st...umm #######. it took that long to put in my file that i called? when i called back in November, i was told wait 30 days before calling..i thought that meant not before dec 19th. now this letter is dated december 1st ( which explains my touches) and it says 30 days from that date meaning not til after JANUARY???? Sooo ####### that means over 8 MONTHS ( when january rolls around) so far with NO word AT ALL on my AOS. JFC what the hell are they doing over there??? Edited by Kimbear, 09 December 2010 - 12:28 PM. Canada	AOS'rs...	Did you update say "a local USCIS office" or just "a USCIS office". I was told my interview would be waived because of my pregnancy. I guess they figure having a baby together is good evidence of a bona fide marriage!! So I am not sure why my case would be transfered from the CSC to a "uscis office". it just says transfered to a uscis office..not local or any hint of exactly where it went... I still hate USCIS, but guess what! Card/ Document Production On December 2, 2010, we ordered production of your new card. Please allow 30 days for your card to be mailed to you. If we need something from you we will contact you. If you move before you receive the card, call customer service at 1-800-375-5283. This step applies to applications that result in an applicant receiving a card (such as a "green card") or other document (such as a naturalization certificate, employment authorization document, travel document, or advance parole). Applications will be in this step from the time the order to produce the card/document is given until the card/document is produced and mailed to the applicant. You can expect to receive your card/document within 30 days of the approval of your application. If you do not receive your document, please contact our National Customer Service Center at 1-800-375-5283. Yipee! I hope it arrives before we leave for Canada. If not, we have to go to our local office for a stamp in his passport. So i got another touch today on my AOS...but nothing changed other than the date. @ Arabella: i have no clue what this means, interview wise. Prolly a bad idea for me to go in person lol. CSC just transfered it back to the local office..omg almost 7 months of no effing activity nothing and they send it back!! now how long do i have to bloody wait??? And it still says initial review../cry Another "touch" in the now 4-day review session of my RFE. I wish I could spend 4 days to complete one task at work! It's like this CSC: Step 1: Open the envelope Step 2: Look at the medical Step 3: Issue the Green Card How hard is that? i think they should just hire monkies..seriously ...monkies would be faster and are probably a hell of alot smarter than the slackjawed dumba$$es they apprently have working there... Canada	AOS'rs...	I'm an American and I agree with Hugglebuggles. I always use my DL when I travel. I just got my passport 2 years ago and only use that when going out of the country. Have fun with the new cavity searches at the airport. My sister joked to the man who felt her up and down that it was the most action that she'd had in a long time! well since the family decided xmas is at our hourse...i dont think we'll be going anywhere. tree trimming, decorations clenaing cooking baking..then hopefully just relaxing..lol. Canada	AOS'rs...	I went for my Biometrics yesterday. 118 days since NOA1... Can't believe they forgot to put me into the system, but lots of other people in Dallas had the same exact problem. I had to go directly to the Dallas ASC 1 month ago to have them print me an appointment letter. So this morning, i had my EAD approved!! Finally, i can stop being a couch potato and start earning money to pay off my loans! I feel more like home now, instead of just a visitor. Now in the wait for my GC, but i don't expect anything to happen for a long time, since i'm at CSC and people wait a long time there!! So today i called uscis, and they confirmed i am definately outside processing dates. they did a service request and sent it to CSC and CSC has 30 days to update my case. if i dont here anything im to call uscis back. same old same old. so just out of curiosity, how does it work if you want to travel within the usa? like i'm in chicago and we wanna visit davids family in Florida and i have my newfound family in Conecticut...do i just use my normal canadian passport if we go by plane ? what other stuff would i use? or bring ? Canada	AOS'rs...	In Chicago all i had to do was show my old drivers licence, and a piece of mail with my name on it. Canada	AOS'rs...	I got an update on my AOS today, just saying that it has been transfered to a USCIS office, so I am not sure what that means. I think that usually if you are going to have an interview they will specify that the case has been transfered to a specific office. And since an interview was supposed to be waived due to me no longer being able to travel (and the fact having a baby is pretty solid evidence of a bona fide marriage!!) Boo an RFE. =( I bet it's for the medical, which is lame because that means they don't even follow their own policies for people who already got the medical through the K-1 Visa. aww **...that sucks...i cannot believe how much wasted time this takes just to get a freaking RFE..what the hell is wrong with these ppl? RFE should be done within the first month of them getting our packet. Canada	AOS'rs...	i give up..csc keeps telling me they are working on May 30th cases.ya..right..i dont think so. now i'm being told i should not have been transferd. and now i'm being told that processing times start when csc receives your file, not when uscis originally receives it. and now i'm being told it's not 4 months it's 6 months i have to wait for before i can call and do a service request. so yeah....so mad and so frustrated. every step has been waiting mistakes mistakes no answers and screwups and every possible thing. the only good news is she said there was never an RFE issues..but some times i wish there was..at least i would know ti's DOING SOME THING. so since may they have done sweet FA with my case....other then screw me over on bio etc...and i can't even get UI as they ROE'S are expired..funny i did not know that could even happen..... I"m very very happy things are going great with your entire immigration process, but i gotta say, i'm a bit jealous lol And i wish my self confidence did not get up and go with looking for a job. Not havign worked in almost 2 years..i'm kinda scared of starting over again. i mean i had a great job in canada, making 19/hr doing stuff i loved, now, i have to settle for 10/hr if i'm lucky and doing anything i can get. Blech lol. And being in Chicago, theres like 10 ppl for every job just about. Hubby says it's ok if i dont work but i dont have an excuse not to work! lol. Canada	AOS'rs...	IF you do n ot get yoru bio appt after 30 days of your receipt notice deffinately keep harassing them. AOS was mailed in May bio was in september. you do not want to wait that long for your ead. Also if you wait, you risk getting it even later like colleens did. sometimes they forget to put you in the pile for the scheduling system. if i hadn't kept calling my file would still be on the wrong desk. Last week my file was transferred to CSC and today I checked the status and it says: The I485 APPLICATION TO REGISTER PERMANENT RESIDENCE OR TO ADJUST STATUS was transferred and is now being processed at a USCIS office. You will be notified by mail when a decision is made, or if the office needs something from you. Do you think this means it's been transferred again? Maybe to the local office? I still can't check the status of the EAD... so frustrating just means that NOW csc is actually looking at it..it has not gone back it's still at CSC. aka we have now resumed processing now that we got it Edited by Kimbear, 24 September 2010 - 03:32 PM. LOL no me first seriously though, CSC is taking forever. We applied in May and are still waiting for anything on our AOS. So annoying. Yay, I can finally check my case status online, almost a month after filing! Although when i logged in it says that the case has been transferred to the CSC. Is this good or bad? Anyone have any experience with this? dont drive yourself batty checking online lol. so far it's been useless checking for updates for me. Canada	AOS'rs...	So I sent a letter off to the Congressman on Wed about me not having a bio appt yet 3.5 months into my AOS. I just got a call back from them. I guess the Nashville office is SEVERLY backed up, but because of my pregnancy and limited time to travel (in case I need an interview and have a 6+hr drive to Memphis) they have made an exception and will take me as a walk-in on Monday!! WOOOOO HOOOO! My EAD has been approved for awhile now, but they can't issue it because I have no biometrics, and apparently they didn't recieve any picture with my I-485 (which I know I sent!!!) but I never recieved an RFE nor does my on-line case status state anything about an RFE. So they will take my pics for that while I am there on Monday as well and hopefully I will get my EAD within a few weeks and my GC not too far behind!! About freaking time!!!! Ya my EAD was approved with a date of august and they tried to say the same thing with the pics and fingerprints.. Soo glad you got it all fixed..feaking incompetent uscis! It seems like CSC is taking longer now than having an interview at your local USCIS office. Took just under 6 months for my AOS to get approved via the CSC office. Seems that way, i have had two touchnes on aos. one when i had the xfer to CSC and the other when i had my bio. still says initial review. been almost 4 months now. the letter about the xfer they sent is total BS. since chicago data says it takes 4 months there and the letter says CSC should be faster...well i beg to differ. I just got an email yesterday stating that my stuff has been transferred to California... what's weird is what I bolded below--I already GOT my biometrics letter-the appointment is on Tuesday.. ______________ On September 3, 2010, we transferred this case I485 APPLICATION TO REGISTER PERMANENT RESIDENCE OR TO ADJUST STATUS to our CALIFORNIA SERVICE CENTER location for processing and sent you a notice explaining this action. If you have filed an I-485, I-589, I-751, N-400, I-90, I-821, I-131 or I-765, you can expect to receive an appointment notice to appear at an Application Support Center to have your fingerprints and/or photographs taken. haha i wouldn't worry about that. i just got a msg that said my file was transfered to csc june 30th...like ya no kidding you already told me that!! lol i think they just resend the last email out again just to show / say your file was touched. ahh i'm just glad they finally got with it over at uscis...i was thinking i wasn't gonna be able to work til xmas ya know..and fight with kids for part time jobs etc. i'm crossing my fingers for colleens..it took me a month of harassing uscis til i got my bio notice. thankfully it looks like i was already approved for ead and just needed the bio done. i'ts a load off my mind.,	Kimbear	Female	Canada	2010-09-04 15:35:00

Canada	AOS'rs...	bio went easy peasy. no one in and we showed up an hour early. no question asked nothing. filled out a simple small form, showed my drivers licence waited maybe 5 minutes, fingerprints and photo done. They stamped my asc bio appointment letter and handed it back to me and gave me a small survey to fill out. This was at the Norridge location. i'm willing to bet i get my green card same time as the ead. since it's already been 3 months since i submitted the AOS, also if i was gonna get an RFE well i would have gotten it by now too. so hopefully knock on wood the next thing i hear is that email saying card production ordered lol. Canada	AOS'rs...	I just got an email from USCIS.. I put in a service request 1 week ago for my biometrics appointment letter that i haven't received yet. I'm not sure how i should understand that email: The status of this service request is: Your case is awaiting the required Biometrics submittal, and is currently in suspense until you complete this process. Your application information has been entered into the system which schedules applicants for biometrics at their local Application Support Center (ASC). Biometrics appointments are scheduled as slots become available at the ASC. Once you have been scheduled for an appointment, you will receive an ASC Appointment Notice to appear at a certain date and time at your local ASC. You must take the ASC Appointment Notice and photo ID to your appointment. Basically, it's only saying i'm now in the queue for getting an appointment? And if i was already in the queue (but my ASC was wayyy too busy), am i gonna be put at the begining of the queue again, or do i keep my current position in it? Argggg I want my Bio appointment letter!!!
