its the time of year. my gm just left..our tops dps just left. others quit for the summer, and now we went form having 30 ppl or more online to just 3..blargh.
so david quit the guidl and joined a hardcore one that is the oldest horde guild..so he's been doing ulduar each night..and now i can't stand logging on cuz i'm tired of all the whining and crying.

oh oh oh..did you hear?..you will be able to switch faction horde to alliance and vice versa...might fix recruting issues and imbalance on some servers. we'll have to see.

6 months of raiding naxx 25 and i finally got my gun off of KT ..my beautiful Envoy..woot

after that we did ulduar and got the furthest in content we've ever been did the entire siege part.. one shot on each boss except ignis..he kept potting the damn healers lol. ####### ton of achievements last night too.. we were on fire woot.

did kologarn too.. course as a hunter my pet was 100% useless as he could not target anything. That was where we finished last night. Was sooo nice to see new stuff

it came right out of the blue this. lol I mean i love helping ppl giving advice etc. and i've played the game since it came out, even beta tested wotlk, but i felt i was still a noob member

one of my old guilds had a rash of hacks..like 5 ppl in the same week. took 2 weeks for some and more for others. a shame really..

i wish they would increase instance limits...my lowbies (lvl 50'ish) can't even get into old world content..it's always locked out.

My druid is dualspec bear / kitty and it's great. if the tank dies i just waltz in and take care of things..and if were short on melee i can kitty dps. As for healing..LOL battle rez is the extent

i totally suck as a healer. They are extremely versatile. It would be even better with TRI spec

There are so many things that can go wrong with Thaddius, especially with 25 man runs. Deadly Boss Mods is a life saver on that fight. I even killed the raid when I went to loot Thaddius after we killed him.... The polarities don't change completely out for about 30 seconds after you kill him

well with thaddius..at the begining..no one has a polarity..you just have the two groups on either side of him. now as long as you know which side is the - and which side is the + just like with a battery you should be good. for my guild whenl ooking at thaddius the left side is - and right side is +. usually the very first polarity change is where ppl make their mistake.

our raid leader alwys says 5 sec b4 to "watch your buff". when you do the switcharoo..you need to keep as wide a berth as posible..switch in a circle sort of. cuz if you get too close to ppl you will zap each other.

and ya..teehee..someone rezzed me on thaddius and as soon as they did..zap i died again cuz of the buffs still being active

unfortuneately wowmatrix no longer works / is not supported. i've been forced to use curse..and it won't even download and update all the mods..they are charging a fee for what they call premium service now. sigh..and i hate having to search and download / check updated mods every couple of days. so now i have the smallest amount of mods period.

auctioneer is a bloated addon that takes up too much space and memory..i do'nt bother with it anymore. i use itemstats which tells me how much stuff is worth for vendoring..and i just check current ah prices on stuff i sell.

i use the following addons:

deadly boss mods
omen threat
recount
icehud
bartender ( cuz i hate the default blizz bars) i prefer everything together in a nice block at the bottom of my screen. cuz i suck at paying attention in raids lol if it's not in front of my face i won't notice it

those are my basics for all classes. of course i have a few others depending on class.

mage / druid has decursive..can't live without it.
hunter has timer mod and misdirect announce.
mage announce for when i sheep or counterspell.
questhelper for my lowbies.

the Argent tourny is a permanent event. with dailies. has profession trainers inn and it's a sanctuary..no killing allowed.

easy to be there with all the other dailies in icecrown too.

at some future point you build a colliseum..which is why one of the dailies is to get stone and lumber..that is why ti's permanent.

you have to do aspirant then valiant then become champion for each city..x 5 if you want all of them for the achievment. from what i read. it's sposed to take 28 days for each city; aspirant to champion.

most of the rep stuff is ####### if you ask me..i just want the mounts

for each character it is 25$. I moved 3 of mine off a pvp server to a pve server. and depending on how many are doing it, it can be done within 5 mins or a day or so.

i always make a low lvl char and check out the guilds / latency etc of a realm. then once i decide on a guild i get in vent with them. listen to a few raids etc to see how they act.

We left a very over populated Burning Blade for a much nicer CST Kael'thas, low latency , decen medium pop, and horde / allies get along well even on forums. So far it's the best move we've made...along with be able to lvl up our alts in stv etc with out being ganked..

as others have said Elitest jerks and tankspot are great for info..although sometimes overwhelming..too much math makes my head hurt..since my fiance is a dnd nerd i get him to do the math and tell me if something is a better upgrade for me

my mage hit 42 tonight..undead mage...and she already does over 300dps..i'm frost spec atm..but at 60 i'm going frostfire baby

What you say about DK's and if he was using deathgrip he was pulling lots of aggro makes sense and could be part of what the problem was. I am a pally and I was the tank and it was stated before we started that I was the tank, not him. So it's weird that i did more dps and that I was having a hard time keeping the aggro. I haven't had a hard time keeping aggro lately with other groups so it had to be something weird in this group. My issue with the green axe was that the DK had the green axe and was supposed to be DPS. You can't DPS enough with a green axe (and he wasn't, i confirmed that) in a heroic instance. It may be fine for a regular, but not heroic. It was also my clue that this guy was the problem and not me...he wasn't quite geared as a dps and not quite as a tank either. Possibly he dual spec'd and is confused.

Anyway, it's hard to fully explain I guess. I wish I could remember the guy's name so I could have you compare his and my gear to see if that was part of the problem. Gear Does matter doesn't it? Isn't that why I'm supposed to be gearing up with strength...to increase my threat/aggro? Stamina so I don't die so fast, Defense so I don't die so fast etc... That's what I read anyway.

It's unreal how much there is to learn in this game. I absolutely love love love it!! I have to say that those of you who started when WoW came out have a huge advantage over those (me) who started after WoTLK came out. This is my first character and I can see how advantageous it will be to roll other characters to see how they function.

your only responsibility as a tank is to tank the boss. Or if your the aoe tank concecrate exorcism etc.

if yoru not 100% sure of yoruself or your abilites you can always check out various sites to larn read about threat avoidance mitigation etc..i know for a while it was all overwhelming for me too.

if it's a frost dk..then that is yoru issue.. frost pressence adds sooo much threat. my dk does the samd thing to my hubby's warrior if i'm in frost pressence. and he does it to me when i'm in Bear.

also..our guild the dk's are still the best tanks....even post patch.

also deathgrip..is his taunt as a dk..so if he was using that with death and decay in frost presence..it's still quite alot of threat.

if you can't watch omen / ktm..you shoulnd't be in the instance / raid. /boot imo.

oh and if your the tank..let the dps die..I do. i care about the boss and the healers..thats it. if dps wants to be stupid ie: the rogue lock mage..then they die. especially if they can't use their deagro abilities ice block feign death vanish fade etc.

We got a late start to it so we ended leaving up Construct and Saph/KT, and ended on Loatheb. I hadn't rolled on anything up to that point, and lost out on the T7.5 shoulders before that. I lost the tier shoulders to a priest who is a really good healer in our guild, so I didn't mind that much. I won the boots rolling a 95 over two mages who rolled in the 80's. One of em had rolled on something earlier so she wasn't gonna get it (guild loot rules). The other mage who rolled was decently geared. All epics except one trinket and cloak. But even with decent gear, he only did 1.8k DPS in a 25 man, so I figured he was worthless even if he had a full T8 set

I was thinking about putting em on AH for a retarded amount and see if they sell. If not, i'll equip em.

what is with epic'd out mages doing sub par dps? my new guild (yay we got in a good guild again that is doing ulduar and gearing up ppl in naxx still) and the mage with the best gear does a pitiful 2k dps../facepalm. Everyone bugs him about it too. he has all best in slot gear.

Lol ya know what..me and David were talking about the good ol days..vanilla wow..all the old instances..crazy things we had to do like the mallet for zf etc..and we ended up creating our own alt guild of personal RL friends to reexperience all of it..every little quest and instance.

So far were all lvl 40 ish and having a great time wiping and killing

especially with our add herbalists and miners that just wander off into packs of mobs to get there herbs

teehee..to me that reminds me how fun the game can be.

I've talked to some really good healers and they have told me that they worry about the tank or OT if they are assigned, and general heals, they focus on the top DPS first and get to the rest. Seriously though, with HealBot, it's not that hard to click on someone's name

Mel usually tells people that she didn't configure HealBot for pets and lets it go at that

I guess different healers have different criteria and that's fair enough.

I don't know if any of you use WowMatrix, but it looks like it's not going to work anymore, which is really a shame.

David and I met when he was our raid leader running kara etc.

He plays an 80 warrior 80, elemental shaman and various other orc alts.

I play an 80 belf hunter and an 80 druid tank.

currently we play on Kael'thas a nice carebear server that we left Burning Blade for.

i have no healers..but i mean c'mon..it's not that hard to mend pet

lol truth be told my pet dies less than half the rogues i see

most of the time for the k1 interview they dont ask for proof of relationship as technically the only proof they need is that you met in person during the 2 years preceding the application. at this point that is all the proof they need. its at the AOS stage and ROC where you need the extra proof. i just brought pictures etc to the interview and they never even asked us about any of it. just how we met where we were getting married and when, and where we'd live. the interview really is the only easy fast process of this whole experience.

Montreal only kept the most recent year at my interview but they looked at 2008 & 2009 and then handed them back to me. So if something happened the day before your interview and you ONLY had the most recent year's return you'd probably be okay but it's better to have the most recent 3 year's. As Kimbear and nycheryl said, transcripts are free & easy to obtain and you can get extra copies for when you do AOS.

Also for anyone else looking at this thread Montreal still wants the I-134 for K1s, not the I-864. CADreamer asked Montreal in an email and that was their response. I posted it in the K1 guide thread.

i figured well we started the process in x year..the interview is whenever..so i brought all returns to match those years..which were 2. and like i said they asked me for 2 years..but alas..my hell journey was a bit ago. and i know montreal has changed significantly although whether its for the better or worse..lol

@Kimbear -- the last 2 years? Crud. I thought since it isn't even required at all unless self employed, I was ahead of the game brnging the most recent year. This seriously blows. Really, would it be too hard to state *exactly* what they want on the interview checklist??

its not the checklist you have to go by, its the instructions for the i-134 ITSELF on top of the checklist. checklist is just that..a general checklist. http://www.uscis.gov.../i-134instr.pdf

instructions seem to have changed a bit..also there is some discussion on whether to fill out the i-864. http://www.uscis.gov.../i-864instr.pdf which wants 3 years.

either way i just looked at my pkg and i brought two years of transcripts. may as well get em now..your going to need them regardless for the aos part right after your entry. someone with more recent interview p3 p4 done can pipe in here.
