Today is our wedding anniversary and when I woke up and checked USCIS this is what we found.

Post Decision Activity

On January 2, 2014, we mailed you a notice that we have approved this I130 IMMIGRANT PETITION FOR RELATIVE, FIANCE(E), OR ORPHAN. Please follow any instructions on the notice. If you move before you receive the notice, call customer service at 1-800-375-5283.

Our lawyer called and he got the mail of our RFE, maybe my husband will get it later bec he isn't home yet.  He said that they are requesting for my divorce decree but i gave it to them already.  Meaning they ddn't translated it (bec it is in Thai).  Anyways our lawyer said it would take 2 days for it to be translated.  Wish we can get our approval.  Do you think would be better if he also add my husband's travel itenerary to Bangkok?  He has traveled 5 times already in one year.  Thanks for your reply.  Have a great day/evening.  :)

Pls help me. The USCIS sent us this but we do not know what evidence they want. or we should wait for the mail.

On December 4, 2013, we mailed a notice requesting additional evidence or information in this case I130 IMMIGRANT PETITION FOR RELATIVE, FIANCE(E), OR ORPHAN. Please follow the instructions on the notice to submit the requested information. This case will be in suspense until we receive the evidence or the opportunity to submit it expires. Once we receive the requested evidence or information and make a decision on the case, you will be notified by mail.

A request for evidence is made when an application/petition is lacking required documentation/evidence (initial evidence) or the officer needs more documentation/evidence (additional evidence) to determine an applicant's eligibility for the benefit sought. We may send you a request for evidence at any stage of our review. The request will indicate what evidence or information is needed for us to fully evaluate your application or petition. The notice will explain where to send the evidence and will give the deadline for your response. Your application or petition will be held in suspense during that time. If you receive a request for evidence and have questions about what you need to submit, you may call our National Customer Service Center at 1-800-375-5283.

They haven't all been approved (less than half of the Feb NSCs have), look at the Feb transfers spreadsheet. You should change your transfer date, if it was 10/17 indeed.

BTW, on 10/23 you wrote:
That's what's in the spreadsheet. Double-check your dates by checking the I-797C you received.

The transfer to Nebraska is October 17 but then we received a message on USCIS that transfer to USCIS for fast processing on October 23. smile.png

We got mail that we were transferred to Nebraska on Oct 17, 2013, then we checked on USCIS they transferred to USCIS for faster processing and it's more than a month. I wonder if all Feb filers have already been approved. I always cry bec of this, seeing much later fillers got approved. Feeling anxiety and frustrated. Good that I and my husband are both strong and try to comfort each other. Why are they so insensitive to us, it's not fair what they are doing.

IR-1 / CR-1 Spouse Visa Case Filing and Progress ReportsNVC Case number
Our petition was approved Jan 2, 2014, and was shipped to NVC Jan 3, 2014. We haven't received any reply from NVC if they have it received already, nothing. So I asked my husband to call NVC last Friday, he said they just received it (what a coincidence), he said we have to wait for another 2 weeks for the case no.

Another 2 weeks, hhmmm Lawyers who don't know what they are doing. If not visajourney, i have already wasted my money to send form DS-230 via fedex and go to the Police office for police record without any case number. Good I made some thinking on what to do first before I made any moves. Luckily my question was answered here abt the form. And I made a decision to call the police, what are the docs needed to get police record certificate. I sent an email to our lawyers (2lawyers joint in the company) regarding this last Thursday and no reply from them (embarrassed perhaps). People from Visa journey are more accurate. LOL
A BIG THANKS TO Saylin and the rest of VJ members. I wish you all good luck and all the best in our visa journey! smile.png

I wish! I don't think that's possible really. I mean, we can protest that but I'm sure things won't go well and I'm so over it. This whole process is stressful in itself already. Just hoping for faster processing for all of us.

Yes you are right, that's all we can do at the moment. Just wait until it's over. Some people would really take advantage of people like us. :(

I also hired an attorney, it costs us $5k. I wanted the process to go smooth sailing with no RFEs and whatnot. Well, then guess what we got an RFE for?

A freaking missing "DATE" on the preparer's signature for the I-864.

The wifey went crazy. Total bummer.

I could've gladly given all of it for Saylin's work with the NVC guide.

You are right. I thought about it also that i could have given the money to Saylin and the other members that are helping me. If I see any effort from them I would not feel like this. Do you think we should ask for some money back?

My husband hired a lawyer from the US.

I would like to ask anyone who hired a lawyer to process your papers. my husband paid 4,000 US$ to our attorney and I want to know if it is a normal fee. I feel sorry for my husband coz he worked hard for that money. They don't do their job well, I was the one who always make a way to get information from USCIS and NVC. And I was the one who first to know that we got approved and also the NVC (thanks to VJ members) then informed our lawyer. I work more than them What should we do?

Ohhh, I'm sorry, when you initially said "form", I thought you were referring to the new form I just put together for requests on the spreadsheets  :bonk: To answer your initial question, I'd suggest never leaving anything blank. Depending on the question, write 'none' or 'N/A'.

Thanks so much Saylin. You are an angel to me. muahhhh

Type what information? For checklists, you just check yes if you got one or skip it if you didn't get one.

Sorry, what I mean is they sent the form to us to complete and correct the AOS.

If you got a checklist, then you have to click the 'yes' button.

I mean the box where you type the information if it is not applicable should we leave it blank or type N/A. Thanks Saylin for your reply.

I applied for a visitors visa in early 2010, I had an appointment for an interview so I went. The interviewee said that i don't have enough supporting papers so they gave the form back to me and my passport without any denied stamp, only written no enough supporting docs on my application. it's nearly 4 yrs. Would it affect my port of entry or during my interview? Anyone with the same experience, pls reply. Saylin pls help me.

to the moderators...Any idea if those of us who have had to wait an extra long time for NOA2, do they communicate with NVC to let them know, this persons been waiting a long time, speed it up for them? Just curious what other peoples experiences have been. I am just happy to be done with NOA2 which took 8.5 months (no RFE).

Removing Conditions on Residency General DiscussionDo the I-751 Fees apply to Dependents?

Thanks for your reply Hypnos. I briefly scanned those instructions once before, but it wasn't as clear as this time with you pointing it out specifically. I've been looking at and reading  so many forms, etc. my head is spinning! From what I understand after reading those sections, I only have to pay one fee and list my step-daughter on the form as stated. Please correct me if I am wrong :)

Removing Conditions on Residency General DiscussionDo the I-751 Fees apply to Dependents?

Hello everyone...When it comes time to remove conditions for my wife and step-daughter after their arrival in the USA, do I have to file form I-751 for each of them? Also, do I have to pay the fee for my 7 yr old step-daughter as well or is it absorbed in my wife's fee? I ask because there are some fees that absorb the child and others that do not. Thanks in advance for your feedback.

Removing Conditions on Residency General DiscussionWorried we don't ahve enough evidence...

I have money that is stuck in my RRSP's in Canada that I cannot touch until retirement age.  I have my husband listed as the sole beneficiary for these.  Should I send statements from these accounts as extra evidence?  My only worry is that they are Canadian accounts, and have my parents CANADIAN mailing address listed on them.  I don't know if this will hurt us or help us.

When we have travelled in the last two years we have always driven.  I have some photos, and could print out hotel receipts.  We each have our own insurance through our jobs, as it was too expensive to be on each others...  Shouls I send teh actual cards, or copies of them?

WIth the bank account, we really don't use it much, except for our tax refund.  Unfortunately, we have no membership cards since it is  just the two of us and never need to buy in bulk lol
