IR-1 / CR-1 Spouse Visa Case Filing and Progress Reports	NVC Filers - March 2014	I don't think you need police clearance if you haven't reached the age of 16 when you were in the Philippines. Though I don't think NVC will send you checklist just because of that. I mean, it is irrelevant since they don't need the address before you were 16 years old. Just my opinion. The best thing you can do is just wait and don't worry too much especially that you are not sure if you are getting a checklist. But since you already apply for PCC in the Philippines, it's ok. Atleast if they asked for it, you have something to show. Thanks to your time and effort in replying. I lived in the Philippines until I was 24 yrs old so I really need a PCC. I put my husbands birthdate to when he moved to a different place. I read on here after I sent it that they will issue a checklist for this. God I hope not!!! IR-1 / CR-1 Spouse Visa Case Filing and Progress Reports	NVC Filers - March 2014	Go to the Philippine Embassy in Thailand and ask for NBI Clearance that is the Police Clearance equivalent. Try to ask if you can apply for it or if not, maybe they can help you. I already did in my morning. they gave me a card form and took my fingerprints on it. I will send it to my relative in the Philippines to get it for me. So I will jst send legal documents and authorization letter. my question now is Would it be a problem with my DS-260 regarding previous address? Will I get a checklist bec of this? It should be the year when I was 16 yrs old. I put I lived in that address since birth to the last year i lived there. I called NVC that she cannot answer that, just wait until they review it. She said that mostly they are serious with major info. So i think it's not a big deal with the year on my previous address. Anyone with the same case as mine. please share your experience. IR-1 / CR-1 Spouse Visa Case Filing and Progress Reports	NVC Filers - March 2014	I think you need a police certificate from the country, if you lived there more than 12 months and you were older than the age of 16.   An applicant must obtain a police certificate from the local police authority: IF you lived in a different country for more than 12 months AND you were 16 years or older at that time I understand I need to get a PCC from the Philippines. But now I have a question with my DS-260 form regarding the previous address, I put the year I was born until the last year I lived in that address. It should be the year I was 16 years old. I didn't pay much attention to that. Will they just ignore it or will I get a checklist bec of that. It is not that serious, is it? Thanks it would be a great help if you can give me info. IR-1 / CR-1 Spouse Visa Case Filing and Progress Reports	NVC Filers - March 2014	If your lawyer filed your I-130 he would have send in the lawyer G form and the DS-261 at NVC doesn't apply to you your AOS and IV is invoiced together.   The plus side of having a lawyer. IR-1 / CR-1 Spouse Visa Case Filing and Progress Reports	NVC Filers - March 2014	Most people call NVC on a frequent basis after NOA2 approval, so they'll be told over the phone once NVC receives their case from NVC. If you wish, you can call up NVC and ask for the date that NVC received your case. Although, it's not important. Saylin, can you help me. We hired an attorney to work on our case. He asked me to fill out DS-260. How about DS-261? Do you think he did it already or he forgot? I am sure the DS-260 wouldn't be available without completing the prior forms. It's weekend so we cannot call our lawyer and I am worried so i cldn't wait. so sorry. I know that you are our angel here that helps us. God bless you and the rest of the members here. Our attorney sent again an email to my husband requesting to send to him, the ff. He submitted our Affidavit of Support to the National Visa Center yesterday, March 6, 2014. At this time, he needs the ff from us 1. Original marriage license; 2. Two (2) passport photos of (my husband); 3. Two (2) passport photos of (me); 4. (My husband's) original birth certificate; 5. (My) original birth certificate; and 6. (My) police certificate (available on the 26th March). And how come he could fill up (AOS) form and not IV. I already sent him an example form for him to copy for my IV form. I do not want to do it coz I might make a mistake. That's why we hire an attorney to do this job. I try going through the non-case complete section about once a month, going to every member's page and seeing if there's updates. But, I've never had this long of a list before, so I haven't gone through it in awhile as it's daunting, haha.   Plus, I created the form only last month, so those that were added before that may not know about it, thus they haven't submitted updates.   Plus, some people just fall off the map and never return to VJ. In which case, after one month of not logging in, I remove them from the spreadsheet. I tried to update mine but I couldn't. Please add me Saylin to the spreadsheet. Thanks. Congratulations to you too for your 2 kids. I am sorry for the checklist but don't worry maybe it won't take long for that. Once they accepted it, maybe it will take only a day or 2. Yesterday evening we received an email notification for a May 19 interview in London. We're very surprised, very excited, and also a bit stressed as we accelerate the timeline to get ready for the move I feel a little bad line jumping out of the June interview group, because I know how left behind I felt watching others do the same. I wish I could assign you all interview dates myself. The wait sucks, but you're so close to the end now. I can't wait to see each of you sharing your good news as it comes     Bit of a tangent here, but something I've been thinking about... with our interview date scheduled and everything suddenly so near at hand, I'm finding myself more and more in awe of the incredible sacrifices all the beneficiaries (or applicants, to use the NVC-appropriate term!) here are making for their spouses. I'm so full of love and appreciation for everything my husband is doing to bring our lives together, and I know many of the members here are bound to have even more difficult situations and transitions than we're expecting. I give you guys all the credit in the world. You're amazing. The love and commitment it takes to survive this process and THEN give up everything you've known in life except your spouse is incredible. As you know its Thai New Year (SONGKRAN) My boy is having nonstop fun...   Happy Songkran Festival to you and your family! I almost forgot abt it. LOL We did not celebrate this year, we stayed at home. The weather here is really hooootttt, cannot stand it but Songkran festival is fun i know. I called NVC an hour ago and Allen read what's in the system but he was fast lol I could not follow, i think they are still reviewing it. The biggest challenge right away will be food. There its available on every corner of every street in the whole country. The night markets are our favorite stop each evening, we hop on the motorbike and cruise around town for a little bit then stop by the market for fresh food and unique dishes already prepared at crazy low prices. Its all about the flavors, the spices, the sauces and the fresh ingredients   My friend Bee prepared this dish   Changnoi, I am sure I am going to miss Thai food, my husband likes Thai food. He always enjoyed the food here. My husband said exactly the same thing as what you said here. Well my friend goodluck to our journey here, hope we get our case complete soon. IR-1 / CR-1 Spouse Visa Case Filing and Progress Reports	NVC Filers - April 2014	AHHHHHHHH, just talked to the paralegal,,,   she is telling me I need my divorce decree toooo??? for the IV package????  do I really????  NVC operator didn't mention that..   And I mentioned I wanted this to go out today or tomorrow.. she says I can't guarantee I will work on it today... #######?????   OMG OMG    I swear I hate depending on others to do what I can do faster....     UGH  nevermind, I wasn't able to open the links on the wiki page up til now.. I am at work and they block that...     I guess I just delayed my stupid papers now. Dang....  I have my last divorce papers but I have to get another divorce decree from the county where I live... OMG this is annoying I understand how you feel. I and my husband are really upset with our lawyer. He is giving us poor treatment and he asked for a very high fee and in cash we paid him. I still try not say anything to offend him but I made an email telling him what he should have done to make our case move faster. I did almost everything, what he did is sent the docs. I did the follow up and informed him abt the updates. Wasn't he ashamed of it. I knew the updates of our case before him. I learned everything here on VJ. The previous NVC agents that answered my calls said that the AOS form that our lawyer sent was already received but not our civil docs. So I called again today, the NVC agent said the AOS was completed last March 26, what about the checklist we received last March 27. That's why we corrected the form and sent to them. But our lawyer sent the form and the original documents last April 1 by regular mail. And now we do not know how we can detect where our docs are.
