The whole point of my question was the fact that I DIDNT get an email or a letter and was asking when others got theirs. I just cant understand why almost nobody has read my post but still commented on some random part of it?

Even you must not have read it because you include this ` people often post their emails,`...gosh guys...please, I`m here for help not uncalled for criticism.

Once again..I used  `assume`  because I havent yet received a letter OR an email I was going on what I saw on an internet site.

I hope that we'll get the petition sent in before June is over. I've had my stuff ready for a while now and sent it to my fiancé almost a month ago. Unfortunately, he was swamped with work so he didn't have a lot of time to go over the instructions and everything and then I discovered that he didn't have the correct divorce certificate. He ordered it and it finally arrived on Saturday. I only found out it was not the required certified copy thanks to this forum. If not for the awesome guys here we probably wouldn't have found out until receiving an RFE asking for the right one :P

Do NOT give up. Remind yourself why you are going through this process.
We were approved Friday night, it was day 199, just one day short of joining the '200 club'. I was freaking out a lot in the beginning of the process, when Vermont's processing time started to get slower and slower. But it wasn't productive and there is nothing to do about it anyways. I prepared everything to be ready once we got our approval. The only thing left to do is for my fiance to send the affidavit of support and for me to get the medical done. Have you started looking into what you will need after getting approved?

I also had a look at my group on uscis.gov. Filers with the same receipt date as ours started to get approved in mid-December. That got my hopes up but by January 24th, only 11 out of about 65 filers had not heard anything yet, me being one of them. All the others had either been approved or got RFEs. For me that was a reason to ask for a service request. My fiance was able to get them to put one in when he called and said that he knows people who filed on and after our date who had gotten approved. Then two weeks later he sent an email to the Vermont Service Center National Customer Service Center (NCSC) Follow Up Team to inquire about our case status. That was on Thursday, Friday night he received the approval email. No idea if it actually helped or if it's just a coincidence, but I recommend you ask your fiance to put in a service request too.

Other than that, try to do things that you know will be difficult once you are in the States. Spend time with your family and with friends, visit places that are special to you, maybe make a trip that you have always wanted to make but never got around to, eat special foods from your country/region that will be hard to get in the States etc. Keep busy, sitting around and having time to think too much can be really bad, believe me, I know what I'm talking about.

And always remember those who have been waiting so much longer than you. I hope you guys will get your approval soon. Good luck!

We got approved on Friday night on day 199. Joing the 200 club was really something I was not keen on doing. Thankfully we were spared that experience.
Now on to getting everything ready for package 3.

Me and my boyfriend known each other since we were young because our parents are best friends. 

We started talking through text, video chat since February and I visited him in July started actual dating. Now Im back in the US and trying to bring him over here. 

 

What would be the best way to bring him? 

apply for K1 or go back to China and get married then apply for CR1? 

I was thinking about K1 since we dont have a long communication history but he is saying that CR1 has better validity than K1. But im afraid that we dont have enough documentation to show bonafide marriage( bank statement, lease agreement.)

 

 

All we have is the pictures that we took during the two month, pictures when we were kids, video chat snap shot, text history. 

 

What would be your recommendation?

You're certianly not alone with felling discouraged! Although I filed a diffeent visa I have been waiting since the beginning of September. First i waited almost 5mths for my NOA1 due to the backlog and the re-routing of the petitions to the Chicago lockbox. Now, as I watch those from October, December, January and I think even a February filer bypass me I'm just about ready to throw in the towel. I DON"T BUY that ####### about working on easier cases. What deems a case easy or hard, that is a bunch of bull!!!!! If your not confident enought to work on all cases then you don't need to be in that position. This whole process sucks and also paralyzes you from functioning normally while you're glued to the website waiting for a change in status, playing stupid tricks to get an answer, listening to reheared answers from Customer Service, the list goes on and on. I honestly thing they get a petition which then generates a touch, flip through it see if it's simple and if so adjudicate it quickly. If not, they put it back on the shelf for someone to work on. As we read before they have to hit their numbers. It is sooooo unfair that they can CHERRY-PICK through the petitons. Then after all this wait, your finally approved only o be denied at the interview. My Goodness!

Last year I thought the same thing when told my case was assigned an A number. I dont mean to burst your bubble but I found out all the cases are assigned an A number once the case is data entered into the system. It's part of the processing steps.

Keep the faith though! Things will begin to move quickly.

The philippines GDP grew 11% this past year(2011). This was not anticpated, so while the US dollar is growing weaker, the Peso is also growing stronger, so it is a cumulation of both points. I am very excited to see what the expected GDP will be in gains for the 2012 year. A lot of South Eastern Asia are expected to have gains greater than 5% which is a healthy market right now. The US just needs new leadership and governmental figures as status quo is just not working anymore.

I scanned everything apart from my letter of intent, i-134, tax returns as I mailed mine in and didn't file electronically.  I sent mine via DHL because that is something I could track all the way there and has a better reputation for getting things around in the philippines.  That is my opinion.  Sometimes more money is worth the quality and security you get.

Ok Mari, you made me think and rummage through my cupboards as if Ola was landing any minute. I have decided to play along with your rules just for kicks and giggles but in reality I don't see me pulling out the Martha Stewart treatment and impress him so early. Gotta work my way up to that (lol). Anyway, based on what I have in my kitchen I chose to prepare Nigerian Chicken Stew. I have the chicken, the chillies, tomatoes, onions, garlic, thyme, curry, salt and groundnut oil. I dont have partminger leaves but I bet I can find a substitute for that and figure it out by taste. Hope he enjoys it or we have to break the rules and head to McDonalds lol.

I have decluttered the entire apartment and made room for his stuff in the closets and drawers. I cant say the shoes arent going to be an issue because we both have quite a few pair :unsure: The wedding planning is going smoothly since it will be a small beach wedding approximately 2 weeks after his visa is approved and he arrives on August 20th (in Jesus name). I checked that I do intend and then I wrote that it is a K1 and I will support him until our marriage, upon marriage, all future income and expenses will be shared.

For this question, it would probably bee good to search for your embassy and the question, not just the question. When I was researching in March, I found several threads where some embassies wouldn't accept the form if it was checked yes, some wouldn't accept if it was checked no and some didn't care either way.

To be on the safe side, you could also fill out three forms, one that says yes and one that says no and one that says N/A so that if the CO complains, your fiance can whip out another one say boo-yah :rofl:



I would love to be a fly on the wall when someone says boo-yah at the CO.... :rofl:

Just got the packet and interview date email today and its set for August 10th. We wanted things to work out where I would be able to attend his interview and fly back together. However, I have a HUGE trial starting on the 11th and will be begging my coworkers to cover for me those 3 days - since of course the next week I have no court at all :huh: . Once he is approved and has visa in hand we will have approximately 2 weeks to get ready for our scheduled Labor Day wedding...cutting it close consulate lol. Anyway, please keep us in your prayers that it works out for the best as we continue to pray for you guys too!
