Caribbean	Interview date October 11 andstill no appointment letter	THIS IS THE PROCESS FOR KINGSTON. Attention New Immigrant Visa Applicants Effective September 1, 2013, the DS-260 Online Immigrant Visa Application & Registration will replace Form DS-230. Applicants can access the new form at the Consular Electronic Application Center (CEAC) Web site OR at ImmigrantVisas.state.gov. From the main page on ImmigrantVisas.state.gov, you will click on Submit Visa Application and Civil Documents. It will bring you to a new page. Scroll down to Complete and Submit Application for Immigrant Visa then click Online Forms, DS-260. Enter your Case Number and Invoice ID Number (the National Visa Center will have already provided you with these numbers) to access the form and complete online. Ensure that all questions are answered correctly to prevent delays in the processing of your application. Once complete, submit the application by clicking Sign and Submit. You will not be able to access the application again. Print out the confirmation letter. When you have completed the form, inform the Embassy via e-mail at kingstoniv@state.gov and put the following information in the subject line: DS-260 COMPLETE: SURNAME, FIRST NAME, MIDDLE NAME, CASE NUMBER. Example: DS-260 COMPLETE: MANLEY, MICHAEL BERNARD, KNG2000100100. Bring your confirmation sheet to the interview, but do not bring your application form. For further assistance access www.travel.state.gov: Online Immigrant Visa Forms: DS-260 FAQs (Frequently Asked Questions) or http://www.travel.st.../info_5164.html Please note: The DS-260 is not required for cases that are already in process at the National Visa Center (NVC), including cases where application documents were submitted, but an interview has not been scheduled. We will not require the submission of a DS-260 if a valid, signed, unexpired DS-230 is already on file. For petitioners, who filed an I-130 at USCIS Santo Domingo prior to September 1, and the beneficiary has already submitted a DS-230 or received instructions to do so, we will still accept the DS-230. Caribbean	Waiting for an interview	Kingston is still requesting the DS-230 along with the DS-260 online. Kingston will not schedule an interview unless they receive a mailed signed DS-230 or a signed scanned email copy(preferred) of a completed DS-230. Kingston usually takes about 7 days to respond to emails Thanks. Caribbean	Waiting for an interview	Just called DOS, they said Packet 3 was mailed out today. I had already sent them the DS-260 via email on the 24th. I also sent them two emails stating that on the 25th but they have not responded. I requested P3 and P4 via email but no response and no packet 4. Not sure what is going on with them since they went to DS260 online. Caribbean	Non-impediment to marriage in Jamaica	My fiancée is at the red as we speak. They told her the certificate cost $5000. And it would be 5 to 7 days and expedite is $6600 and takes 2 to 3 days. This is in Kingston, well, really Spanish Town. Just got my NOA2 hard copy in the mail today. Waivers (I-601 and I-212) and Administrative Processes (221g)	Some information on administrative processing	http://administrativ...ck-program.html Individuals applying for an immigrant visa may find that their cases have been placed in Administrative Processing for one reason or another. They are neither denied nor approved as additional time may be needed to make a determinative response in the case. This decision is made after the visa applicant's interview by a consular officer. Most administrative processing is resolved within 60 days of the visa interview, however, when placed in administrative processing, the timing will vary based on individual circumstances of each case. In immigrant visa cases such as the K1 fiance visa, a consular officer may conclude at the end of the interview that there is simply insufficient evidence to approve the case. The reason may be that new evidence was discovered during the interview that raised a red flag, or an administrative discrepancy to warrant a secondary review. A visa case requiring additional administrative processing may take months to conclude, however, in this writer's experience, providing additional compelling evidence of the bona fides of the applicant's relationship to the American petition may assist the officer in making a definitive decision in the case. Administrative processing is a state of flux that leaves a visa applicant frustrated and confused as there is no definitive guidelines as to what the immigration issues are and whether the applicants can do anything to compel the proper agency to respond. Additionally, it is within the discretion of the interviewing consular officer to place a visa case in further administrative processing as the Foreign Affairs Manual (FAM) provides ample guidance for officers to exercise this power based on their factual finding. Whether the case is outright denied or placed in administrative processing, a visa denial applicant should consult with a competent immigration attorney to review the case and provide the best course of action based on the applicant's unique sets of facts. Consular processing attorneys are in a highly advantageous position to assist since they are able to inquire directly with the consulate and embassy where the applicant's case was denied. Thailand	administrative Processing in Thailand	Thanks!!   They wanted his birth certificate...Sent it to them, the immigration office said that they did not eceive it..Immigration contacted their office in my country. Nothing happened until the congress lady step in.. So the congress can really help.  Because my husband is contacting his congressman to help us.  I had case updates on 16 July bec the USEM had received emails from the house of rep and our lawyer.  And yesterday 20 July it was updated again bec we sent more docs from Western Union even they did not ask for it.  Would it make the process slower bec it wld go behind the que again according to the email they receive?  It has been more than a month our case is on AP. Thailand	administrative Processing in Thailand	He gave them the police record towards the end of January.   He mentioned it to them but they did not respond. So he got a letter from our consulate verifying him and also a certified lease agreement from his landlord I am also in AP since June 6, the Embassy received the docs asked from 221g on June 18, 2014.  I am still waiting.  Any good news from the embassy?  Did you receive the visa?  Please reply.  Hope you have the visa already.  God bless.  This waiting is a torture coz I really miss my husband.  I am like dying, cannot do anything at this moment and resigned from my job, I had a very good salary and now it's gone.  I am thinking of applying for a new job again while waiting.  Hope you reply. We are working with the preparation of your visa package and will mail it to the applicant address on GSS profile which takes approximately 7-10 days. I wish I could be there, but I'm out of vacation time at work. She's be fine, though, she's a real Supergirl! I am sure she will. K-1 has an overall approval rate of 97% percent. Thanks for your positive thoughts, it would be great if china didn't need a visa, but those agreements are shared between countries, and I don't think China is anywhere near allowing travel visas into China. I know it's been tried in the past, but no agreements have been worked out.   Technically, yes, it gets to the NVC in 10-15 business days, if it get's sent out on time and correctly. Thing is, that doesn't always happen, and yes, it would be great if there were a way to track it. Thing is, I don't think they want people to be able to do it. they don't want you to know if it's sitting in a warehouse somewhere, or in an AP state. The NOA2 wait was awful, and just when you think things are moving along...NOPE! And still they don't want to tell you anything. If you think the visa process is bad, wait till the naturalization part. Do you plan to be there at her interview in Guangzhou? NVC doesn't know anything, so I'm trying to get some answers through USCIS to see what happened to it. I feel you. And I really hope some day chinese does not need a visit visa to the US. it has been tough on me not seen her everyday, and still sees hope that she can be here soon.  I have seen people here posting that it takes USCIS 10 days to ship packets to NVC. Due to US Postal Service delays?  I don't understand why they can't put one tag on the case at the first place since we need to track it along the way. This is starting to make sense My best guess is that they transferred cases from beginning of December to January 20th. To TSC. Tricky part is that I am afraid they count the processing time from the very beginning for fairness of the center, which is 180 days they are allowed to have on the new transfers. USCIS Service Centers	Transferred file from vsc to Texas got touched today!!!!!!	<p> OK,   After searching around, I have found several threads with the same question of what this means....I found a pattern of these people getting RFEs (and a couple approvals) from 1 to 6 days after seeing this on the USCIS website...So Serpentine is seeing future RFEs is my guess, please let us know if they change in the next few days :     "I went on the USCIS site today to check the status of our case and i got the below message when i called the center they too could not find our case and said they had to escalate the call and now i have to wait 1 hr to hear back from them. Please let me know if any of you have experienced anything like this and what it could mean?"   "At this time USCIS cannot provide you with information for your case. Please contact the NCSC 1 (800) 375-5283 for additional information. To view the status of a case, please enter the corresponding application receipt number.  The 13-character application receipt number can be found on application notices you have received from the USCIS.  It begins with three letters such as (EAC, WAC, LIN, or SRC).  Dashes ("-") should be omitted when entering a receipt number.  However, all other characters, including asterisks ("*"), can be included if listed on your notice as part of the receipt number."   Yes. Says still in transit which means its still in the secondary place in texas and not in an adjuducators hands yet. My filing date was 12/12 but when I got the update by texas it sayd my filing date now is 12/5.....my update is the same as yours 5/30,,,,, We are in this together dear...   I cant help but wonderwhy  my Senator says that he made it clear to texas that our file was "of interest" to them but this doesnt mean it gets put ahead....just adds pressure so they will just get the approval process going. Also once it is in an adjudicators hands they said they could have it up to 30 days. If I get approvedin july it means it will be almost 8 months!   The woman handed me an answer to my service request filed 3 weeks ago. It had  the audacity to says my file was still in the normal processing time because they are currently process 0ct 15 petitions. I know darn well most of april and some of may it said vermont had 5 months processing time on the official updates. Which would of made our approval may 5th or 12th .... So how can they say it is still within processing time!  sigh.... I just do not know anymore... I had faith that contacting my senators and congressman would mean they would go to work for us... but I am doubting that it helped.... They just seem like slaves to the uscis like us and they are not making changes just reporting back what is going on...I am seeing people here who filed after me getting approval...  Sorry as hard as I work hard to update everyone... I have lost hope  (((((( Hang in there, don't just give up! You have walked so far already! We have walked so far already! We will get on the other side! Sounds like we are crossing the borders! LOL!
