Continuing to put the I-129f packet together I was wondering if it mattered if I filled out files by using both a combination of typing and handwriting; such as handwriting dates, #ssn ect..... while typing mostly everything else. Also, I have read mixed contradictions concerning which USCIS service office (Vermont or Texas) I send the packet too, I live in North Carolina...... Any knowledge would be much appreciated! On Adobe, I went to: File -> Properties and didn't see a "read only" check box. Maybe Mac's are different . I guess Ill have to just copy and paste everything. Any other ideas? Thanks! K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & Procedures	Is there anyway to "re-open" a PDA form after saving?....	thanks for the reply. I have a Mac, which is automatically set to Preview (PDA) program. I did download the new Adobe program, however when i converted the G-325 file to Adobe it wouldnt let me edit the document either. I do think that if I had originally saved the file on Adobe it would have let me change the font... I am not a computer wizard so there is defiantly a chance that I may be missing something.... Hello, I have completely filled out the G-325a form (all the pages..) on my computer (PDA form) and saved it when I thought I was finished with it. After reviewing it I found out that I need to make a minor change to it, however now that I have saved it, it will not let me make any changes to it/type inside the box anymore. K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & Procedures	Scan or Copy..? and another q	Hello, For the I-129f packet I was wondering if it mattered whether or not I made colored copies of my birth certificate, passport, passport stams ect.. or if they have to be scanned? Also, thought id go for another toofer... My fiance had a US student visa last year and opened up a wacovia(sp) bank account while doing an internship for the university. Would it be helpful to include one of her old pay stubs and transaction receipts? She did, however leave money in that account after she returned to ireland.. soo.. would that leave an impression that she had "business like" intentions to return to the US and cause a negative effect for our petition? Hxxrmonkey, in regard to the medical examination, do you know where I can search the embassy reviews that list the 3 doctors? and also just to confirm it doesn't matter when she has her medical examination done, as long as it is within one year? K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & Procedures	I-129f question... having met w/in2yrs vs. ongoing relationship	I am confused in what differentiations to put in my I-129f packet in regards to the "proof of having met w/in 2 yrs" section and the "proof of ongoing relationship" section... Obviously proof of having met would include passport tickets, pics, and other primary sorts of evidence ect.. but what sort of info should distinctively be in the "ongoing relationship" sector of the I-129f packet? Should ongoing relationship include some skype chat/call logs, more pics, and so forth? Also, I know they we are supposed to send an identical I-129f package to our fiance as well... if we included original pictures in the USCIS sent I-129f packet, should we also include original pictures in the fiance or can we simply duplicate pages w/original pictures by using copier? I have a supplementary question this and I am assuming the answer is "no" but.. does this mean that the assembly of the copied i-129f packet has to be identical as well? i.e: would i have to use the same sort of folder dividers ect.. or will it be adequate to just organize the copied i-129f packet with binder clips and stuff it in a big envelope? However, some people on here suggest that BOTH the petitioner and beneficiary sign the "how we met" letter. Not sure if that really matters, I am just doing it to be paranoid... But does it matter whether I say fiance or fiancee on all of the I-129F documents.. for example should I label things like "Fiancee letter of intent" instead of "fiance letter of intent" and so forth or does it not matter. K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & Procedures	Is it possible to keep the K-1 process a secret from my parents while I'm living with them?	GJen, I breezed through ur post and just wanted to weigh in because currently relating to somewhat the same issues. Me and my (soon to be) fiance are still in college, both graduating and like you i never saw this relationship coming. My fiance, leona, was an exchange student at my college last yr and id like to say it was fate that randomly brought us together. My parents love her however her parents are skeptical and haven't taken in the seriousness of this relationship and commitment. I went over to visit her in Ireland over this past new years and asked her had for her hand, he said 'yes" put in his expression i could see a sense of shock and not sincere happiness. Her mom has also mentioned to Leona numerous times that this is a bad idea and that she shouldn't do it. But the truth is, like in my situation, there is no way that they could know how much you two love each. Its a tough predicament that your in and its hard to try to make a parents try to understand something when they stubbornly close themselves off to the idea from the beginning; My dad is just like that. Obviously they are going to find out sooner of later.... Honestly, I guess i would just make sure that there is no way they can stop you two from completing the K1 visa before you tell them. Good luck, from what i've gotten out of the semi-conflict with leona's mom is that parents just 'care' and want to make sure that you are provided for... its a overzealous sort of thing. Before i do that thou, I guess my last question, How crucial is it that the last name is in all CAPS on the G325a form. On the I-129f form is specifically says to put the last name in all caps put on the G-325a form it does not mention that. G-345 form	I plan on FINALLY sending out my I-129F petition tomorrow and while double checking things I noticed that on her G-325F form my Fiancee DID NOT write her last name in all CAPS. I see that on the example G-325F from the last name is all CAPS... however, on the form I do not see anything that specifically says that it needs to be.. K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & Procedures	newbie question...do I need a lawyer	Im probably not giving you any additional advice but..... if you do not have some specialized or complicated case than i do not see the need for a lawyer... They CAN NOT speed up the process and if anything may only delay the process by putting holding off the information u send to them directly. Like others said. don't take any of these words as "legal advise" but me and my Fiancee are doing this by are own and so far (with the MUCH NEEDED help with VJ) are getting along just fine after filing the I-129F petition. Here it is.. well, talking to family members about birthdays i realized that i switched my mother and fathers birthdate's (except for the year) on the G-325a form.... Is this likely to cause an RFE? Also, on the letter "how we met" I contradicted myself on the day we met by first putting done the correct date and then putting a slightly different date.. Will this cause an RFE? Really perturbed at myself right now because I hate this waiting process and was almost sure that everything was correct in my I-129F petition. Any insight would be greatly appreciated. Today my fiancee found this at the travel.state.gov website: http://www.travel.st.../info_1288.html Basically saying any foreigner who had a J1 visa must spend at least 2 years in their country until they can file for another type of visa..... !?!?!? My fiancee Leona was an exchange student with a J1 visa during 2007-2008.... we sent our I-129F petition in around a month ago.... will we be denied since it hasnt been 2 years since Leona has been back in Ireland?!??
