US Citizenship General Discussion	N 400 February Fillers	Are you sure you couldn't just call in like I did? Saves time - my case doesn't even appear to be transferred yet to Fairfax. The lady was fairly helpful, although some of her answers were canned. US Citizenship General Discussion	N 400 February Fillers	When is your appointment - Is your fingerprinting completed and they send it back to USCIS. I waited 5 years for this patiently but now it is hard to wait anymore, lol. My fingerprint was on Mar.22nd my infopass is on may 20th at 3pm. Since we're in the same area - who did you schedule the info pass with - the Alexandria office where we get FP done? Thanks - will be inetresting to hear what they tell you - wonder if FAIRFAX is backed up. I scheduled it with the Washington Field Office the one in ffx by prosperity ave. I wonder who schedules the interview - does the service center do that? or the local office schedules the interview. I always thought that the service center schedules the interview once the person is cleared from the FBI and then they transfer the case to the local office? I believe the local office, in our case Washington field office which is in Fairfax... schedules it. It is always backed up, but I find waiting like this ridiculous. I called them up yesterday and the level 1 customer service officer wouldn't let me speak to the level 2 coustomer service officer and it made me mad and we were arguing for like an hour..... they told me to go make an infopass so that is what I did. US Citizenship General Discussion	N 400 February Fillers	Well Yong - you and I appear to be in the same boat - both going through the Fairfax office. I think it matters more when your FP were done then when you applied...everything works off having those FP being done. So question is - what is holding them up? My case still says initial review - no mention of being transferred to the Fairfax field office I was hoping I would have had my interview and oath by now and I would be applying for my US passport. Bugs me - hard to make summer vacation plans (if I want to go out of country) when I don't even know if I'll have a US passport! It's really making me nervous lol it's been awhile and other people seem to have IL and all that stuff..... I'm in the same boat, had my FP done 3/24 and only received my YL which really doesn't count as progress. Online status is still initial review. No emails/sms. Not sure what the hold up is, but it seems like things have slowed down to a crawl. Maybe they are doing inventory??? I know how you feel, and what would they be doing inventory on??
