(Here on VJ it says the I-134 but the officer at the consulate was hessitant when she advised me to get the I-864) I also heard the K3 applicants dont really need it.... K-3 Spouse Visa Process & Procedures	March Filers with NO APPROVAL yet.	Yep, right on, but let me add Business First, engaged people next, families LAST. Got to love the gov't's family values. The key word here is values. We as a nation are loosing the core values that made us what we are today. Just like the Roman empire we will fall under the weight of our own wealth and immorality. Bringing spouses or families together is LOW priority with our government. Business FIRST - Families LAST !!!! So very true........ even before business... they value the holders of H1B and H1 visa. Just recently a family friend who is here on a H visa went back to India and got married to a girl from there. She was able to come with him within 2 months. USCIS explain that to meeee.......... So true... I have a couple of H1 friends/co-workers who went to India and practically came back WITH their wives in a couple of weeks after they got married there.. As I said I m really really happy for them... As a matter of fact I am real good friends with all of 'em and in reality its NOT their fault. I do understand that they do that since they CAN. My gripe is why CANT I, as a US Citizen, do/follow the same procedure so that my wife can also be here like theirs... I feel so sad, cheated and hurt over this matter... lets try to forget it.. I m not goin to ruin my day over something I DONT have control over... but Oh yes I M SO MAD Tc and gluck to e'one.. I hope to see some NOA2s this week.. may provide some solace and consolation... K-3 Spouse Visa Process & Procedures	April K3 Filers	You still have a glass? haha I keep getting tempted to post the Vulture line about patience. Since it is a public forum I try to be civil. Well...Before I had no patience..hahahha..still don't have any..Just trying to make it day to day..I check this forum daily..sometimes 3 to 4 times a day..I keep hoping that one day there will be lots of people here getting their approval notices. I see a lot of people who filed after me with very little patience..I'm thankful of finding this site, at least there are other people in the same boat. If it would make anyone feel better, you could search the timelines of a year or two ago and see that there were a lot people waiting 500, 600 and even 700 days for approval. I have a calendar and am marking the days off with the hope that it won't take near that long..I really don't have a clue how long this process will take. Anywaysssss..Everyone hang in there....In the meantime, I am planning a trip to be with my Honey maybe next month. NOTE TO "edp333": Our timelines are very close and we both have an interest in the Philippines, so if you're ever down and out and need a friend to talk to, I'm here. We could talk by phone and share our stories and maybe, be some sort of moral help in this time of "waiting"... K-3 Spouse Visa Process & Procedures	April K3 Filers	After searching through the forum it appears some Febuary filers are still waiting for their NOA2 approvals and most of the March filers are still waiting. Anyone with some good news on receiving NOAs? We are March filers and are still yet to receive an approval AND we have applied for an expedite request! There are quite a few rumours in the March thread which speculate why the delays are occurring. Some say because of the transfer to electronic system, some say because of a delay in transferring cases to the CSC and some say because of lack of staff either due to the increased need for staff on passport services or because of holidays... All reasons seem plausible and it could even be a combination of all of the above factors... We all just gotta hang in there and hope for the best! Heres to hoping that they start churning through our applications asap Your faith shines through your words and that is very inspiring! Thank you!!! K-3 Spouse Visa Process & Procedures	April K3 Filers	This is an invitation to anyone who filed a K3 in or close to April to post on this thread. It seems that many of us who have filed in April are having delays with checks being cleared and receiving a NOA1. I think it would be helpful to keep each other updated with concerns or activity on our visa applications. I plan to call USCIS within the next two days because it will be 30 days since my packaged arrived without my check clearing or receiving a NOA1. edp33, I am surprised to see that your check hasn't cleared yet. I thought for sure by now... Our filings were 2 days apart. Man, was the wait painful. Hope to see you get that check cleared and/or the NOA1 soon. I just sent in my 129F for the K-3 on Monday, it was received on Tuesday. so I am once again waiting for an NOA1, but I won't start stressing until next Monday I hope that goes faster than the NOA1 for the I130 I am happy for you that you received your receipt notice and NOA1. Your timeline gave me a spark of hope. It's amazing what a few days difference in the time our packages were received made. US Embassy and Consulate Discussion	Medical Exam Finished!!!	Just a short note to say, that my daughter and I had our Medical Exam on Tuesday. Everything went great, we were there for almost 4 hours. They took care of my immunization shots that I was missing. We were sure glad to get that over with, now just have to wait for the interview in Montreal. Hi there I was just wondering how old your daughter is and what was required for her with regards to the medical? I have a 3 1/2 year old and was just wondering so that I am prepared. I dont have any record of immunisations - will they give me all the shots? If you know - your assistance and knowledge is much appreciated. Oh and Congrats for finnishing the medicals!!! Everything was fine until they came to the topic of custody of her 10-year-old son. (Both my fiance and step-son have German passports although my step-son was born in London, England. My fiance and his father have been separated for almost 9 years.) Basically, the immigration officer said that she needed something proving that she has custody of her son otherwise the consulate would view it as "kidnapping her son to America" - they actually said that! The thing is under German law, if the father hasn't been around and the child lives continuously with the mother then custody is automatic. She knew this, but went to a legal assistant to check anyway. They told her the same thing. So she did two things to try to get this proof. First, she went to the court (I can't remember the exact name she gave) and asked them for some documentation of this, and their reply was that they couldn't give her proof of something that was already in effect. In other words, yes she had custody; no, they couldn't give her a document to show that. Next, she went to social services and asked for a similar document. They couldn't help her either because her son wasn't born in Germany. The only thing that she thinks she can use is a letter from her son's father stating that he's aware of their move to the United States and grants them permission to do so. This may be enough for the consulate, but I'm concerned that it may not be enough for the border officers. Does anyone have any ideas what could be done in this situation? I was proud to get this far without a lawyer but I'm feeling like I may have to do that to be safe... I am a mother who has just succeeded in getting my K3 and a K4 for my daughter. I was divorced before my child was born but just incase I had her father sign a letter stating that I was allowed to take her and reside in another country. The letter included the date, his full names and ID number (SSN), my full names nad my ID number and my daughters full names and her birth number. We got that witnessed and notarised. K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Case Filing and Progress Reports	Waiting for a NOA2 from VSC for your I-129F?	So how many of you called VSC and what were you told? I was only on the phone 11 minutes--that's including going through the menu (went the RFE route) and waiting on hold for only about 2 minutes...and the woman who answered was very nice. She said my petition was stuck in security checks, but she also said nothing appeared to be wrong with it. I called around 11AM EST on Monday. Prior to that I tried calling on a different Monday between 5 and 6, but just got your run of the mill USCIS drone because no one was at VSC and I was transferred...I was on hold that time for 45 minutes. If you call USCIS and they say no one is at the service center you're trying to call, just hang up, the drones aren't worth your time. lol. Come onnnnn NOA2!!!!!!!! Did they tell you how long a petitions is normally stuck at security check? Just curious.... Best of Luck.... i am # 25 on the list and the wait is killing me! No, they said every case was different. But my fiance is Middle Eastern and he lived here for over 2 years as a minor so I'll bet that has something to do with it. My local congressman's office turned out to be unhelpful this morning. They told me that we have to be past the processing times for them to do anything....so condescending. I'd rather call VSC any day. And the wait is killing us, too! 75 days since NOA1 today. Please can someone help me out here... I have called the +1 800 375 5283 number soo many times but dont know what option you use to get to a human... I have gone through all of the menus and that is getting frustrating... My papers are also with VSC is there another number I can call to get to them??? Hello fellow VJers, so...after telling myself to just let this whole approval process run its course without obsessively checking USCIS...today I checked...and the "Last updated" date is 06/10/2007 ...does USCIS work on Sundays?? I mean yes I want to get excited and hope they are actually processing my application...and MAYBE going to approve it inshAllah...but is it possible for them to approve it on a Sunday?? IR-1 / CR-1 Spouse Visa Process & Procedures	Military orders	We are also in Germany,...I moved to the USA in Dec 03, married feb 04, and moved to Germany Mar 04 due to orders. I have since, done AOS, and Removed conditions,..as expedited Citizenship was not offered to me at the time, and I was unaware of it til 12 months ago, and by that stage, I had already applied to Lift conditions. I live near Frankfurt. My hubby is on his second tour of Iraq since being here. I like Germany, it has afforded us the opportunity to travel a fair bit. and with extra pay in the form of COLA, its fairly inexpensive. Good Old RYANAIR.!!!! Jodee is there any advise you can give that you didn't know then that you know now for the process going forward for a fellow military spouce??? When I get to the states my hubby has maybe another year and then he gets deported again.... My Wife's I-130 was approved, a case number was assigned and I just sent the DS-3032 and the I-864 bill payment, But My Step-Childs I-130 was not approved, I am in the middle of obtaining the addt'l documentation that is being requested. My question is should I just go ahead as planned with my wife petition? Or should I hold on until my step-daughter's I-130 is approved? I don't know whether my step-daughter's case will link up with my wife's case... I'm not sure how the process work but I know at the end there should be only one interview..
