Gafl, have you attempted to email the service center or open a service request as you are well past the 60 days mentioned in the transfer notice you got?

I have done everything times 3. No response. Staying positive.

Where did you find that information? I want to send something to TSC.

I went to the www.uscis.gov website.  Then I clicked on contact us link.  Then I clicked on contact service center and the email addresses were listed there.  I hope this helps.

I am at the TSC.  Transferred 11/27

I found out yesterday through a congressional inquiry that my case is assigned to an officer.   Who knows when that happened.. Someone who has the same exact filing date, same transfer date and service center  just got an RFE email yesterday and this morning another filer got approved and they were transferred 2 days after we were.   We are all April filers

It seems like TSC was on a vacation for a couple weeks since nothing was happening over there. Yesterday is seems like they woke up.

This whole process is BS

Wow crying.gif !!!  This process definitely tests all patience a person has possible.  I filed Feb. 27 and was transferred to Texas Service Center on Oct. 29.  There has not been any action on my petition since the transfer.  I just hope when we get to the National Visa Center stage that it flies fast.  Our newborn son is growing fast; he is already 3 months young!

I am really sad by this process. Why is Texas taking so long? The infopass inquiry was not beneficial :(. I wonder how they decided which petitions transferred where. My pd was actually Feb. 28 reciept date Mar. 4. and transfer Oct. 29.

Congrats to the approvals!

Anyone transferred to Texas Service Center got approval these days please?.

Hi! I haven't seen any TEXAS approvals yet from us that were transferred. I sure hope they do not take the full 60 days to respond. I'm going to my 3rd infopass next Thursday. I have already contacted Congress man. They told him should hear something within 45-60 days. Hope it's soon. Also, Obdusmen didn't say much besides in normal process times which is foolishness!
Really hoping Texas start its getting sad watching others although I'm happy for them.

Everyone, please make sure your info in the transfer spreadsheet is correct/complete and indicate whether you got RFE or expedite (Y/N). The list is by user name, not beneficiary&petitioner, so make sure you're not already in the list before adding yourself.

All my information is correct and still the same. Thanks again for spreadsheet. Seeing it on paper helps. Hoping for an approval by nov 30. Congrats to all approvals so far. For all the TSC filers which country is your love one coming from? For me it is my husband from Ghana. Happy Wednesday Everyone!

No I didn't, and live in the US

How is the NVC looking? How long from NVC to interview date?

Also do they ask for a police report at the NVC?

I'm very happy for you then that gives the rest of us hope.  I hope we have some more approvals from all sites, but more importantly from Texas seem like California and Nebraska sending them out quicker way quicker.

As for as your NVC question I have no idea.  You may want to go into the country specific area forum for those questions.  But remember being prepared early does help.

March filers:

Here is the spreadsheet for transfers on Google docs. As you can see, there is a lot of key information missing. If you see any key information (transfer, location, NOA2) that you know to be incorrect, let me know by leaving a comment on the doc. I would provide an editable document that we could collaborate on, but as I mentioned before, some of the Excel 2010 functions do not work properly on Google Spreadsheets.

EVERYONE that recieved their transfer notices today don't forget to let En-oh-eh-to now know so they can update the wonderful google document created.  I truly feel we are getting somewhere people :).  Staying postive!!  Approvals coming soon to all of us March filers.. :)  Let's keep this wonderful forum updated.. Best wishes to all.

Once again, Thank you for this document.  When you see it all aligned in this type of format, it gives me BIG HOPE!  I am truly believing by Nov. 30 most March filers will recieve their NOA2.  Then off to the races on praying NVC speeds up even though it is the holiday.  Truly truly hope our loved ones will be here no later than Valentines Day!  Is that to far off to believe for or towards?

K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Case Filing and Progress ReportsWanting to file the K-1 Visa soon??
Thank you everyone. I am really starting to thoroughly enjoy this site. We have decided to post-pone filing the paperwork to late August/early September of this year due to his school at the local university. If he does not complete university until August of 2013, when would you think to file?

Could someone tell me what the process is like once the visa is approved?

Thanks.

K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Case Filing and Progress ReportsWanting to file the K-1 Visa soon??
Good Evening Everyone,
I wanted to give you all an update on my situation from my last posting on March 21st, 2012.
I went to see my man a week ago. It was such a great trip such as what we would do here in the states. I was able to spend alot of quality time with his mother whom I adore, his father, sister, brother, uncles, and the rest of the family. His parents sat us down and spoke to us and asked what were our intentions for each other and believe it or not we both answered boldy and securely. His parents and my mother all gave us their blessings. We were able to do something that I hold dear which is spending time in God's presence around God's people at his church.
I know one person asked does he work; yes, he is a teacher during the day and attending one of the local universities in the evening from m-s.
I have decided I will proceed with the K-1 fiance visa. Now, could someone itemized for me exactly what should I put in the I-129F packet vs the other packets??
I ask because the VJ'ers on here have provided such wonderful advice, information, and guidance to others. I want to do this properly and in order.

So Far I have:
1. My birth certificate/his birth certificate
2. My passport copy/his passport copy
3. I-129F form
4. $340.00 money order for the process
3. 2 passport pics of him/2 passport pics of me (WHERE DO U GET THE ALIEN # to put on the pic from????)
4. Phone records for me/Phone records for him
5. Yahoo messages
6. Pictures
7. Letter of Intent from both of us (signed)
8. Letters of Parental support from my mom & his dad (signed)
9. G-325A for me & him (signed)
10. Copies of my boarding pass and expenses in GH
11. Copies of how we met from me and him

Does anything need to be notarized?

Also, I've seen I-134, tax returns, etc.... When is all of this paperwork necessary??

For those who've experienced the interview process if your fiancee has been denied a visa(tourist) before would you recommend me preparing to go to the interview with him??

Should I mail it to: UCIS lockbox in Dallas,TX or the office in Lewisville,TX???

I'm praying God's blessings over this process as well as the joy of hearing your advice, information, experiences, and insight.

Thank you!

K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Case Filing and Progress ReportsHow do people do this??
The previous messages were great. My fiance and I haven't filed yet due to his schooling. We are waiting to it gets closer to his completion time frame. However, what do you do when they are so busy with their job, church activities, and schooling and you seem to see the communication level is dwindling slightly? (Plus the time difference) He is trying, but it still is seeming to not be enough for your emotional connection to sustain. Also, it has become harder for him to skype you because buying the internet minutes is becoming a financial burden on him. You on the other hand have completed your degrees, your job is time consuming, but not that time consuming and you are busying yourself, but it is still hard to focus on anything else but them and our situation AND you're in a location with no friends or family.

*I know I need to pray more and possibly even fast for more patience.* Any scriptures of reference to this situation is welcomed.

What else would you recommend to keep the relationship fresh and try to stimulate the conversation back to the point where it was like a complete meal, satisfying....

Dear Heavenly Father,

God please watch over all of the couples going into their interviews for the month of July. For God you know their hearts desire is to be with their loved one. I just pray that your will be done God. Please remove all barriers and obstacles out of their way. God give each of them the confidence to interview well. Let not any documentation of "Not a Bonafide Relationship" come into their equation, but let it be said "Welcome to the United States of America". God send them some fruitful last minuate advice. Keep them calm. For God in Matthew 21:22 you stated, "If you believe, you will recieve whatever you ask for in prayer". I seal this prayer in your most heavenly name Jesus.

Amen.

Middle East and North AfricaHow to deal with leaving
Hi All,

I totally understand how you feel. My 2nd visit to my fiance a few days prior I started to just cry and I mean cry without ceasing because I knew what I was coming back to here in Florida as well. It was the hustle and grind of work without any down time to share a hug with the man that touched my inner spirit. Start preparing your mind now, but definitely enjoy the moments while you're there.....We started a tradition before we leave each other. Maybe you two can start one too...Best of luck and safe travels on your journey back stateside...

Remember this pain will fade as soon as you two are in the same area....

IR-1 / CR-1 Spouse Visa Process & ProceduresHusband return to home country to finish studies?
I would love to hear the response to this post as well. My question is similiar....if I start the K-1 visa process in June and it finishes within a year, but he does not finish school until August; should I push the K-1 process back or if God sees fit and approves his visa will he be able to leave the country after he finishes his classes a few months later or does he have to leave immediately after his visa is granted??

IR-1 / CR-1 Spouse Visa Process & ProceduresHow should I file my taxes?

HAHAHA  I was coming back to edit my post but will not let me now...   I was incorrect about the 50% thing (I was looking at claiming a dependent earlier which I can not claim, Sorry)

Straight out of the text book...

Nonresident Alien Spouse

If your spouse is a nonresident alien, he or she must have either a SSN or an ITIN if:

1. You file a joint return,

2.  You file a separate return and claim an exemption for your spouse,or

3.  Your spouse is filing a separate return

Married Filing Jointly

1. You were married at the end of 2013, even if you did not live with your spouse at the end of 2013

2. Your spouse died in 2013 and you did not remarry in 2013

3. You were married at the end of 2013 and your spouse died in 2014 before filing a 2013 return

A married couple filing jointly report their combined income and deduct their combined allowable expenses on one return.  They can file a joint return even if only one had income or if they did not live together all year.  However, both person must sign the return.

Nonresident aliens and dual status aliens

Generally, a married couple cannot file a joint return if either spouse is a nonresident alien at any time during the year. However, if you were a nonresident alien or a dual-status alien and were married to a US citizen or resident alien at the end of 2013, you can elect to be treated as a resident alien and file a joint return.  See Pub. 519 for details

Married filling separately

Be sure to enter your spouse's SSN or ITIN on Form 1040.  If your spouse does not have and is not required to have a SSN or ITIN, enter "NRA"

There is a bunch of other stuff also

But really on the W4 it doesn't matter what you put...

Just for my personal clarification.  I was married 2013.  I had a child 2013.  I filed on my W-4 form withholding 1 for our child.  When I file my income taxes I file as married filing separately then enter NRA into the space provided.  Unless husband arrives before April 15 then file married filing jointly enter his ss#, etc.  Did I interpret this post correctly?  Thank you.
