Russia, Ukraine and BelarusIf you have an accent

For somebody who's thrown fits in the past for people putting words in their mouth, you sure are putting a lot of words in my mouth. And the funny thing is that the argument you're making (illegal immigration "slavery" and safety issues) is the same argument I've made in the past, only to be lambasted as a whiney freedom-hating liberal.

I said I was opposed to the Arizona law, not protecting our borders.

But do not forget "locking the gate after the cows get out" does not do much good. Unless you have a way of returning the cows to the pasture.

As several RUB members have mentioned, doing some household chores or fixing something or building something is the most powerful aphrodisiac I have ever experienced! If you have sore knees and back from say, ceramic tiling a floor, get prepared because they are going to have to scrape you off the bed the next morning.

Nope you are not alone!! Guilty

So I'm the only guy that's helped a girl move, powerwashed a trailer, given a girl a ride to the store, assembled an entertainment center, changed a lightbulb, etc.,...... just to get some?

I like seeing the group of girls at closing time that have one guy with them. "Yeah, I'm just waiting for all these b!tches to go home so I can f'k this one." We've all been there, right?

... or is it just me?

It is just the normal process for the most part, Kiev is fast compared to many consolates. The time changes as USCIS shifts people around to tackle different Visa's. :star:

Russia, Ukraine and Belarushere's an idea

Laptop power supplies can take a broad AC input. The cords, on the other hand, are typically intended for one voltage or the other. That's why almost all laptop power supply have a removable AC cord. You can find a cord in Russia that will fit into the brick (and yes, that is a technical term, no need for facepalming. I design bricks for a living).

If the power grid has a lot of spikes you may have a problem. Further, the higher voltage on the capacitors can stress them more. On the other hand, a higher voltage means a lower current on your inductors. Basically, they are designed to work both ways and should. There is a lot of cheap Chinese ####### out there, though, so you have to be careful.

The cords can be ordered if the laptop does not come with em

Russia, Ukraine and Belarus5 Days Post-POE - GREAT!

Well, my former bachelor pad no longer resembles one. Everything now has "its place." From cleaning supplies to a warm and cuddly bedroom (with stuffed mishkas) :-) wow, great zupa each day! My daughter who's in town from Maui has been enjoying Lena's company while I'm at work. We did stop-by the local big box store (Meijer) and...ugh, not so thrilled, especially the clothes, shoes. Everything is great however! She'll be in her comfort zone later today when we make the 30 min trip to the Russian market and the small Russian church on Sunday morning. Next week: marriage license app and SSN. Then AOS. Happy times!

Igor

Glad all is going good!! My "bachelor pad" Does not even look like same house after a year LOL. :star:

Congrats!! :star: We apply also the end of the month to remove conditions. Definately let us know how visa attempt goes, we also are interested in bring MIL over.

We received the approval letter in the mail today, dated February 1. No interview required apparently. GC scheduled within 60 days.

It feels like the end of a very long trip, and the start of another. More on that later, but we still are doing our best to navigate the various bumps we find in the road. The next thing is to get my MIL a visa to come visit. MIL finds out today if she and her SIL will get Schengen visas. They are taking a trip to Prague in March or April, and then we start the US visa process for MIL.

I have enjoyed getting to know the people on this forum over the past few years, and do plan to stick around awhile. VJ has been a great resource for me as I waded through the paperwork and my wife and I tried to plan our future together.

Russia, Ukraine and Belaruskev number
The KEV number will not be given till after you received NOA2. Then you can call NVC and get the number.
Right now you can check progress "if it ever updates" on USCIS site with receipt number from NOA1. Should start with 3 letters. :star:

Russia, Ukraine and BelarusBiggest surprises

Yes, Alla was surprised at this also. "Why do Americans have so much stuff and sell it so cheap?" A like new pair of "Rollers" (roller blades) for $3. Shortly after she arrived my gas weedwhacker gave up the ghost and I took her when I cruised around some garage sales and picked up one for $5 That hooked her on garage sales. Now on Saturdays she goes "sale-ing"

With the Rollers she even questioned the person "What is wrong with these? For $3 there must be something wrong with them" No, just don't use them. "But they cost a lot of money, why did you buy them if you don't use them?" Alla, pay the lady!

Yep it is a Saturday mandatory here now also!!

I would think she was most surprised by yard sales, she calls them the Ukrainian Klondike. People selling almost new stuff for free really.
Bad nothing really

Russia, Ukraine and Belarus1 Year anniversary is fast approaching

I agree the first year was the most difficult. Lots to learn. Alla also enjoys fishing but she mostly lays around sunbathing or goes swimming while I fish.

Want to see a Ukrainian chick flip out? Catch a good sized fish, unhook it and throw it back in the lake.

Sheesh!! lena would lock me out of the car if I threw one back in!!

Russia, Ukraine and Belarusukraine customs declaration

I had never had my bags searched until last September. They asked us to put are bags on the x-ray-they went right through and never stopped us(bags were full of gifts, cloths, liquor, etc). I have my bags searched on the way out looking for gold and silver but never had a problem on the way in.

Same here they never look on the way in, but open and search on way out!
