Register with uscis.gov with that number and you can track your case. You have been touched when your 'last updated' date changes... like this. This post by a former adjuticator explains 'touches' best. Basically they scan our petitions (or they're suppose to anyway ) when the file is moved or opened or 'whatever'. Judging by the past year, this does not happen very much in California so don't get too nervous if you don't find that date changing. Nice to see you folks moving along! Im here again cause im really have a big problem and i dont know where to post this, last Feb 17 i arrive in Las Vegas as POE, the officer took my package and let me write some kind of forms, then he put stamp on my arrival then he write in handwriting it states March 18, what it means?, I dont ask him upon that time cause because of my dizziness upon a long flight i'm to excited to go out, I only see that upon arrival at my fiance place. That March 18, is the duration or length of stay here in vegas, how about the 90 days? where can i call to correct if this a mistake? Philippines	RNs on K-1 Visas: Fiancee is RN in PI does she still need to take TOEFL?	I don't think your fiancee needs to take TOEFL unless if through working visa but she is on K1 visa so doesn't need to take TOEFL. I have a friend who is a RN in the Philippines and arrived here through K1 Visa. She did not take TOEFL before going here,she is now preparing for NCLEX. I have another USC filipina nurse (NCLEX passer) friend from the Philippines,she did not take TOEFL. She said TOEFL is only for RN who is applying to take NCLEX for working visa purposes. K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Case Filing and Progress Reports	Visa Approved!!!	My visa is approved today but i was asked by the consul to submit a new nbi with a.k.a. Eventhough i wasn't able to get a pink slip but the consul assure me that my visa will not take any longer as long as i can submit the needed document. After the embassy i went immediately to nbi to get a new one with a.k.a and i am so happy coz i able to get it right away. I am going to pass it tomorrow and hoping i will be done at 2pm coz i will be heading back home to cebu at 3:45pm my flight schedule. I want to thank everybody who prayed for me and those people who always cheer me up and being supporting and most especially the lord and mama mary. To my beloved fiance i will be seeing him so soon, he wasn't able to sleep while i am at the embassy this morning....hehehehehehe\ To those who are still waiting your time will come and you will be fine. Thank you guys for it!!!           I know that asking about e-passport here in a K-1 visa forum is out of topic but please those who knows about my question for e-passport could help me.          I've heard about the news that it is required to have all Philippine passport into e-passport and I've heard that they only accepting to make it e-passport until October this year. It says we would have a problem to travel next year if we still using the maroon passport. My passport will expire March 2015. It's still long way for my passport to expire but I just don't want any problem if ever I could travel by next year. Philippines	can I get a US passport now?	I know it's surprising that I got a 10-yr GC when I'm supposed to get a 2-yr since I'm on a K1. I talked to this Dominican guy that is friends with my hubby and he said that now I had the 10-yr GC, I'm eligible to get a US passport. Can this be true? I hope anybody here could enlighten us. All your wife need to do is set up a dollar account or a regular savings account on a bank. Her's is MetroBank. Plus, let her get a debit card at UnionBank. It will only be used as a verification for the PayPal account. We pay 350 pesos per year for the debit card. Tell UnionBank that the debit card will be used for the PayPal account. Tel. #: 2353745 - 2353746 Address: 3rd floor Aya-ay Arcade, Mango Ave., Cebu City Landmark: Across University of San Carlos Boys High (now South Campus) After registering, I filled out a COW form and prepared requirements. They will also take a digital picture of you inside the office after filling out the form. NOTE: Requirements vary per visa category. REQUIREMENTS: ST. MARY'S (K1) NSO Birth Certificate - Original and photocopy 2 Valid Id's with picture - Original and photocopy Passport - Original and photocopy (both front and back) Visa - Original and photocopy (if you already have it) 250 pesos for registration Black ink pen Photos with fiance Seminar started around 10 AM with Sister Marieta Velez. It's actually a presentation of one of the featured documentaries of Magandang Gabi Bayan by now VP Noli de Castro. After the presentation, a short discussion about abuses were lectured and what to do when your partner is abusing you. Then, another COW Staff discussed on what not to bring upon departure and what to do after getting hitched. We were lectured depending of the country we'll be entering. SMEF-COW caters seminar and counseling to Filipinos entering or migrating to almost all countries, I guess. I was very much surprised that I can't take my replica bags of Chanel and Louis Vuitton. She mentioned that America is anti-imitation and anti-piracy country. Did anybody successfully entered a state using their replica bags or had it at their check-in luggage? Hope you could enlighten me. I feel terribly bad cause some of my bags are replica bags and I don't wanna leave it sa Pinas! Huhu Moving forth, we ended the seminar by 12:15 PM. Ate lunch and was told to come back at 1PM for the one-on-one interview or counseling. Name was called around 1:45 PM. The counseling went well. QUESTIONS: Where did you meet? When did it started? When was his first visit and the following visits that followed?(they wanna know how good memory you have; give out exact dates of visit) What are your plans upon arrival at the US? Based on my age (I'm 22), she said I need my parents consent but judging how I gave out my answers, she commented that I am mature for my age and can definitely see that I love my fiance soo much and wished me a happy marriage ahead. She gave out my blue certificate (and told me to have it photocopied for the CFO office). Paid 5 pesos for the photocopying of my certificate for their records. Time check-out: 2:20 PM Travelled to CFO office for my sticker. Its located at the 2nd floor of the DFA-Cebu building. Got there at around 3PM. Presented requirements. REQUIREMENTS: CFO STICKER OFFICE (k1) Passport - Original and photocopy Visa - Original and photocopy Blue certificate from SMEF-COW - Original and photocopy 400 pesos Registration Fee Duly Accomplished CFO Registration Form Presented my Passport and its photocopy, my blue certificate from SMEF-COW and its photocopy. Then he gave me out a form to fill out. After filling out the form, name was called to pay the registration fee. He took my passport and told me to wait again. Around 3:45 PM, name was called at the front desk to confirm if I had the right and correct name affixed on my CFO sticker. A few minutes later, CFO sticker was stamped at my passport. He gave me out a form to fill out upon entry to the US and told me to fill it out and send it back again thru mail to the CFO address. He also gave me a handbook about Filipinos migrating to the US. Philippines	Birth Certificate - Late Registered	My BC was late registered too. Being aware that it might cause some problems, I brought in my baptismal certificate. She asked me why I was late registered and told her that my dad relied too much on the 'traditional hilot' that helped my mom during the delivery. Philippines	Need Prayers...	I had the same problems when I came here in the US. Being away from your family and friends, it's depressing. I have no choice but to adjust with the communication barrier, weather conditions and such. I'm glad that hubby is patient enough to keep up all of my craziness. I know that it gets into your nerves sometimes, hearing your wife that she wants to go home. I suggest that you talk to her, ask her what she really wants. Does she talk to her family in PI? If not, I suggest find ways for her to talk to them. Every woman loves shopping. =D You could take her window shopping or at least go out in the house when you have free time. Try plan to bring her somewhere she has never been to. She might like it. Help her find a job. That would keep her out of the house and divert her homesickness into something productive. There are no lockers anymore and if you are caught with a cellphone, you will be denied entry.
