PhilippinesFlights, Expenses, Hotel, in Manila related to interview
i am also from cebu and i would like to share to you my thoughts about your querry..

if you plan to let her travel in the US alone, then it is the best time for her to start being on trip alone..perhaps, if it helps her to have company, one is enough..in this way you will save money for air fare and other expenses in Manila...

san carlos mansion hotel has a rates 850, 950, 1100 & 1350 pesos. 1100 pesos has already a kitchen & living room..it is clean, nice and an affordable place to stay.. tropical hotel, palm plaza hotel can also be a pick..

for her Cebu-Manila flight, book her 2 or 3 weeks in advance to get the lowest possible airfare.. Cebu Pacific has always the lowest fare BUT i will also suggest to check PAL's promo/discount fare coz there are times when they have fare around PHP 1600-1900.. i love centenial II over the domestic airport..hehhehe..

for you being there in the interview is a good moral support but NOT a must....a lot of girls here, including myself, was approved without their fiance's presence...in our case, we initially agreed that my fiance (husband now) will be there during my interview but we later on agreed to save the money for future use..so, i was in my medical and interview alone...just normal to be very nervous and to have a lot of apprehensions or a lot of what if's...but if your documents are complete and well-organized it will turn out easy...hehee

for my ticket in going here, my fiance bought it the day after my interview (consul said we're approved)...got my visa after 4 working days from my interview.. just a good timing coz my flight was 9 working days after my interview...he booked me thru www.travelph.com for $746 (MNL-SFO)...i was with EVA airways....i think the PHP 1620 Filipino travel tax was already included in the payment since they never asked me to pay for it...i only paid the PHp750 terminal fee...

hope this helps...Godbless!

PhilippinesEXIT FEE & TERMINAL FEE
Hi sis! Hubby bought also my ticket online (thru www.travelph.com) and had the e-ticket emailed to me. Before leaving Cebu, I prepared Php750 and Php 1620 for terminal fee and Phil. travel tax respectively. I was not told to pay for the travel tax. Hence, I went to the nearby bank oultlet before going thru the immigration check and have my pesos left converted to dollars.

so exicted for both of you....

PhilippinesManila Embassy Interview/Visa Status

Is it true that if you will be using a private courier (like UPS,FedEx) to send the AOS package, it will be mailed to a different address than sending it thru the United States Postal Services?

Ours was sent thru the postal office so am not really sure if the address differs using a private courier....my friend will mail her AOS tomorrow using either UPS or FedEx and she asked me about this since another friend too said address differs...

According to USCIS Direct Mail Instructions, for non-USPS deliveries (e.g. private couriers), the address to use is:

U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services
Attn: FBASI
427 S. La Salle - 3rd Floor
Chicago, IL 60605-1098

Thanks a bunch Ms. Cora! And CONGRATULATIONS on your wedding..Best wishes! Love your pics..You look beautiful in your wed gown...and very sexy too...

mailed my I-129F august 14,2007. they received it august 20.

Mine got there a week before yours. My check has yet to be cashed. I've been watching it like a hawk since they received it on the 13th.

i paid with a check also.i also have been waiting if the check has been cashed.but it has not.they recieved it on the 20th.
im already worried,i know its has only been 3weeks.
im already planning where we will go on our honey moon.i hope she'll get here before our anniversary, july.

Expect for more delays with the processing right now because of the huge volume of applicants who rushed in their applications before the July 30 fee increase. For our AOS case, it took almost a month before our checks were cashed as well as receiving our notice of action. Before the increase, NOA1 is usually given 1-3 weeks after they received the application but I doubt if it is still applicable to the present. Guess, it is too early for you to be worried about it.

K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & ProceduresCSC Processing Times?? Are they just an estimate??
Hi guys! this is marie..actually, im a neophyte in this site!!! whew!! this site is amazing!!! i cant help myself but to be amazed on how helpful this site is to people applying for fiancee or spousal visa.

for some info, I am from the Philippines. My fiance (from Texas) and I will meet for the first time this Friday. Anyway, this is our situation... All the supporting documents including the biographic forms, the letter of intent to marry, I-129F, proof of ongoing relationship etc. are complete already. We only lack the proof of meeting but its not a problem because we will be with each other soon... My fiance will submit the I-129F upon his return to the US this October.

My concern is, as of the moment I dont have a passport yet because I dont mind getting one before because I never thought i'll be out of my country. Well, I am pretty aware that my fiance can submit the I-129F even without the passport since it is not a requirement so that I-129F will be complete..

I can probably get my passport in December because of some reasons...Do you think it will not be that late? If things will go smoothly, will I do not need my passport by December????

Thanks for the ideas!!!

My wife had hers. Her passport had to be 6 months old at the time of issue for the visa. Get the passport as soon as you can.

wrong!!!!!!

It has to have 6 months remaining before expiration.

For the OP....you will have plenty of time to get a passport....nothing is going to happen by December....maybe December of next year. You have a lot of special requirements for the P.I.s You had better familiarize yourself for the requirements spelled out on the web-site for the US Consulate in Manila.

thank you for the information. I have already the list of requirements for the things i will need during the interview. My fiance and I have been searching for all of these since April of this year. We have hard copies of everythng. I have some of the requirements already. I lack only the passport that is why this is my concern..

anyway, Mr. desert fox/rodney thank you so much for the info...Godbless you always...

Welcome to VJ!

I agree with Lorelle's reasons of not hiring a lawyer. My 2 friends who entered US early this year through a K1 and K3 visas did the processing and the paperworks on their own. All you have to do is to follow the instructions properly and this site provides them. Our lawyer friend told us the same idea. However, if you don't have time to do it then it is best to get a lawyer.

Don't worry so much on that! As long as you write the correct address of the service center then it will reach there. We sent our I-129F last October 7, 2006 and my fiance got a faxed from the Post office today telling him it already reached Texas Service Center... Godbless on your journey!!! We can make it!!!

K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & ProceduresNeed Great Ideas & Experiences to help us with our I-129F Problem!!!!
My fiance and I just want to be prepared on what to fill-up in the forms to be brought during the interview that is why as early as now he emailed me already the DS 156, DS 156K,etc. The main pupose is for me to recheck all the information there so that I can just transfer them right away once those forms are send to me. Just then I find out that in some forms my address in the Philippines lacks my Province name which is Cebu. I was then a little panic because I am worried he might did the same thing in our I-129F form which already arrives at Texas Service Center 3 days ago. When he called up today I brought out this topic and asked him to check the original document left. Unfortunately, he found out he really missed to include Cebu in my address in question #2 of Part B BUT my address in #15, Fiancee's address abroad, is corect and complete so as the one in my G-325A forms. Now, I can't help myself to be worried though he said it is going to be fine. I was sad, and I know he is also, because we double check and triple check everything when he was here but never noticed it. We provided many primary and secondary evidences that we met within 2 years prior to filing just for us to avoid RFE but now I'm not sure already if we can't have one.

Fellow Vjers, do you have any idea if this is one of the ground wherein they will issue RFE on us? If not what will be the consequences that we will get from this? Is there a chance that our petition will be return to my fiance?

Please help us... :( I will be glad to hear your experiences and ideas on this matter. To those who had almost the same experience, please share it to me so I can have peace of mind. Today, I can't help to be bothered at work...Please help... :help: :help:

In question #2 of part B of I-129F, my fiance missed to include my province name which is equivalent to state in the US. My address should be ___________, Cebu, Philippines but he forgot to include Cebu. The good thing I guess is that the entry in question # 15, Fiancee's address abroad is correct and complete so as with the one in my G-325A forms. We are like sad because we double checked and triple checked everything when he was here but never noticed it... We provided many primary and secondary evidences to establish that we met within 2 years prior to filing just to avoid RFE but now I am not sure already if we can't have one....

Is the missing part of my address is one of the reasons to get an RFE? or what are the other consequences that we will get?

Please help us :help: :help: ...I am a little bit bothered/worried with this even I am at work today.... Thank you in advance for the ideas.... :help:
