The processing is so short it would seem so easy to catch petitions before the 6 months?! K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Case Filing and Progress Reports	I-129F June Filers	USA BRAZIL: Let me explain what I feel to what may be happening....Maybe Cuban petitions are getting priority proccesing (if that is true) because the Cuban end of the US Visa petitions is a very complex issue. Cubans are not free to travel anywhere! Even with an approved visa to the visiting countries, they must get a Cuban exit visa to leave (Carta Blanca) which can take up to six months if granted. This might be the reason to get the Approved Packet ASAP to the Embassy so the visa proccess can begin sooner. These are only my thoughts and I do not know if such priorities actually exisit for Cuban Petitions and/or if there are any special arrangements set-up by service centers for Cuban Citizens..... But I assure you that we all have to be patient and wait our turn. Just my two cents but I wouldn't be surprised if the govt was rushing Cuban petitions to save them from and stick it to the 'evil' dictator. I wish they would just tell me you are approved or you are not or we need additional information rather than not inform me at all. They dissappoint me and there customer service is a joke. I have sent messages to a couple of news stations but I dont think they will do a dang thing. It was very disheartening to read your story indeed. If they are treating actively serving members of the Armed Forces with such flagrant disregard, what hope is there for the rest of us?. My husband and I have been in the process for over a year, and just as they were going to send our file to the consulate they are saying it was recalled by USCIS- even though USCIS is saying they have no record of asking for it &&*(^&^. We have already waited longer than most people- and with the situation with the Montreal Consulate being back logged even if my file reached the consulate tomorrow, I could still be waiting 8 months for an interview. We have a child with a life threatening illness, who's treatment has left her immune system suppressed and who will suffer developmental delays if she does not receive early intervention therapy offered by the state. Even if I am forced to send her ahead of me while we wait it out, the situation still puts her in jeopardy. She will need to be placed in day care so my husband can work- if he doesn't work he has no insurance or means to support her- and me once I am there. Not to mentioned that being exposed to other children who may be sick could possibly kill her.. she needs close monitoring because of her disorder which I don't think day care will provide. MY maternity benefits run out out at the end of Jan and I will be forced to go back to work- instead of being a full time mother to a sick child. You probably already know this, but just in case ... there are certain circumstances, like health issues where the USCIS will expedite a case. So if it doesn't fit in the box I would do an attachment. Put see attachment in the box, and then add a page attachment to Question 1a or whatever. Be sure to have the information on the attachment page I think name and birthdate, but call USCIS to get attachment information. I've filled out all the forms using her second first name as her middle name, not knowing of the extra name. How do I account for this extra name? The USCIS sent my forms back and it said the application or petition cannot be accepted because the proper fee of $170.00 U.S. is not attached. Now my issue is the money order I sent was of $171.00 can I deposit this in my bank account and just write the USCIS a check? and the other is should I fill out the I-129F Petition since it has this red mark on it? It ain't hard to get approved, people. This isn't the part of the process you should be sweating. If you can follow directions and have a pulse you can probably get NOA2 for an I29F. Over at the consulate is where the wheat and chaff are separated. That's where the bonafides of the relationship are tested; that's where medical issues, criminal issues, and previous immigration violations are addressed and must be overcome; that's where financial support comes into play. If you want something to do with your time while you wait for NOA2, I suggest you head on over to the consular forum and bone up on what will be required to get a VISA. Because getting a visa petition approved is not hard; getting the visa can be a different kettle of fish. So is it unreasonable to expect that something this simple, that anecdotally takes 15 minutes to approve can't be processed in less than 4 months? And if you say yes because there are so many - the fact is, and one of the complaints is, that they aren't even trying. They are working on other app.s or whatever. I cut her off and said website says 6 months and dozens of July filers approved on vj. Once she said that I didn't need to hear another word out of her mouth so I pointed out those stats, said have a nice day and hung up. I'll try the RFE trick tomorrow and at least try to change the address. The customer service rep claimed they don't do that at vsc. Why do they keep telling us these things we know are not true? There doesn't seem to be any help for us. Even my senator's staffer seemed to blow me off and just get me that note where it says it is with an adjudicator. Wow, big help, customer service clowns can tell me that! I'm doing the ombudsman complaint but that will probably only help a little to let him know about problems in general and not help my specific case. I called the USCIS and told them that I was at 201 days past my priority date and they said that I would have to wait 60 days since the last communication that I had from the USCIS before they could officially look into the matter...that will be Dec. 19. So WE WAIT!!!!! Wow that's ludicrous!!!
