How far off the mark are you guys? could he pick up some additional hours on a second job to get you there?  He needs at least another $500 every month to make it at the minimum point.he tried part time job before. But His work occupied him from early morning till late evening. Besides his daughters still young and he can't leave them unsupervised after work. So it's almost not possible for a second job. My husband's income is not sufficient to support me and he can't find any co sponsor. He is working at a company with a decent income. But he has three daughters that staying with him. That's making his income not enough to support me. We have been waiting from July last year for his boss to announce the pay raise this month. But no luck for us. His company is not making good profit. No raise. We are so frustrated. I don't know what's other option for us. We don't have extra money. My husband's mom is not working. So she can't be his co sponsor. He has no other candidate. It's been more than a year we got married and we never see each other since that. This is torturing. Please help us. Noa 1 was 12 Apr 13, same as Ticos girl, My case was transferred 27 Nov. To TSC On 3 jan received an RFE fort wife's birth cert. w/translation. Sent it in on 31 jan (as my wife was visiting me and had it at home in Germany) They received it 27 January. Today at 5:29 PM (hawaiian time)....,just 9 days after receipt of my RFE..... APPROVED!!!!!! I believe my congress women's rep is having a small affect on them, as congresswomen, Tulsi Gabbard is a big wig in the dept of homeland security! Ticos Hal..... You are Next!!!! Took about two weeks after receiving my reply to RFE for them to approve... altogether almost 9.5 months. Can't thank enough to God that atleast this first step is over !!! We don't care if he can work right away.    But if I were in your situation,  Go get the K-3. Get approved.. and then schedule his POE a couple weeks later.     Who knows how long NVC will take. TimandAna were approved back in November and are STILL waiting for an interview date.  It all depends on if you can wait or not.   I'm not willing to wait. Oooooohhhhhh!!! IR-1 / CR-1 Spouse Visa Case Filing and Progress Reports	April 2013 I-130 Filers	If I were you, I'd jump on the K-3... if you don't pay the fees for the I-130, they can't proceed with that .. and it sits there for a year.     If you got a letter from the embassy, that means they didn't close it !!   you have time to adjust.  The NVC is a joke..   I believe the instructions form the embassy are for the medical  etc... then you can make an interview appt.  ( at least that is what CR does)       Im so jealous.  I hope that happens to me.  I am not really willing to wait out the NVC ####### when I can just go to the embassy and get the same result...  THE NVC is a waste of my time. I couldn't care less about him getting a greencard as soon as he gets here.   Yes that's what the letter said........ Medical then interview. But what we r worried about is if he'll be able to work when he gets here without a green card? It's important to us if he can get a job in a month or so. What if we have to wait months for AOS? He has an 18 yr old son who has 1 more yr if high school. ( living with the mother ) and he'll need to send $ home. They only start school at 7 over there in case your wondering. I can float our bills but I would be hard pressed to have anything extra. If $ was no object of course I want him here ASAP but we have to be practical also. IR-1 / CR-1 Spouse Visa Case Filing and Progress Reports	April 2013 I-130 Filers	Best of vibes from texas, i've been trying to send the vibes in the direction of TSC, i'm really doing my best!!! ;p As for our K3- nevermind, the embassy said because the i130 got approved they won't process the K3, they will wait for the CR1, so i wait again while the i130 has been sitting at NVC since the 7th of jan, called this am, still not logged in.... Ridiculous is an understatement for this bs Yes it's funny how there's a case # for the 129f but none for the 130. If the petitions were together why not enter it all at the same time? My hubby actually got a letter from his embassy giving him instructions on what to do. But like I said, we are going to wait and hope that once we get the # thing will start to speed up. Cross your fingers for me !!  I want to hear something today !!  Fingers toes and legs crossed! Yes it's Friday and still no case # for me!! Just called.........nothing. It's just as bad over here my friend. But maybe you'll get k3 and that moves faster. We didn't go that route for financial reasons. And it would only give us a month. Who knows how long it would take to adjust status. So we decided to wait and it's killing us. We may end up regretting it later though......... Good vibes! IR-1 / CR-1 Spouse Visa Case Filing and Progress Reports	April 2013 I-130 Filers	They DID do a service request for the I-130.  I got the NICEST person for tier 2 . I thanked her over and over for being so nice and being willing to help. She said "I have been doing this a very long time, its all in a days work"  I was on the phone just about 40 minutes with her. She tried to do a service request the regular way but couldn't so she found another way. She put me on hold several times  She asked me my name, phone number, address, husbands name. and then she typed in exactly what I said.  I explained that we prefer the K-3 because no matter what, at  our interview we  know we need a waiver. Taking the K-3 route will just save us 2 months of the NVC nonsense.  We don't care about having to adjust or the cost. We want to save time.  It has already been 9 long months of just waiting.  My assumtion is that she sent the assigned officer the service request. I have an SR number and a date of Feb 1st for a response.    I don't know what will happen... maybe I'll get an RFE because I am "rushing " them  but I am just so happy that I finally got a person on the other end of the line who actually did something to help.  It goes to show that there "IS" something they can do. I think it helped when I told her that on Dec 30th I was told I am assigned to an officer and was told 30 days.  Then when I call the automated line it says an additional 180 days.  I asked her what I should believe.. She said to believe the senators office because they have a special department at the USCIS that only deals with the congressional and senator inquiries.  And I think she could see something in the screen because she said I know your case is being worked on... maybe thats why she sent the special SR??     Im just so happy I got that nice woman on the other end of the line !!  Its hard to find things to be happy about with this process these days..    Oh girl!!! For more information, please contact them directly.   Does this mean the case is sent to the NVC? Which number should I call? Do NVC and DOS have different numbers? My case was shipped to NVC within a week, just waiting on a # to be assigned to it now. I had heard that other USICS sites sent it to the NVC slower but thats ridiculous... Nebraska. Maybe the holidays and snow days had something to do with it. I don't know but I was starting to think it was lost. I was happy this morning to hear it was recieved I was calling twice a day like a stalker. Lol. I even calleduscis yesterday to ask if they actually shipped it. IR-1 / CR-1 Spouse Visa Case Filing and Progress Reports	April 2013 I-130 Filers	Well, can't send it "right away"  as my wife is still here in the US.  She has her birth certificate in Germany in her (go to the embassy" stack of paperwork.  So have to wait for her to get back.  Then she needs to make the copy, and I'm still deciding if we should pay for a translator or take our chances with my wife translating, as she probably speaks better english than me.  lol  Perhaps I will try mt congresswoman as well.  and fax it directly to her office with a copy of the I-130 instructions. Knowing Texas, they have anybody with congressional support in a lost box.   If I were you I would just pay to have it translated. Just in case because you don't want another rfe and hold up you case even longer, which they could do if they don't think it's official. Just my thoughts . Good luck to you! IR-1 / CR-1 Spouse Visa Case Filing and Progress Reports	April 2013 I-130 Filers	Hey Ladies and Gents, I have a question if anyone can kindly help please.   My husband is telling me that at NVC stage where it's him sending forms and payment etc (he's the USC), he will need originals of my police clearances? Is this right? Up until he read that somewhere, I had thought that police clearances are only needed at my interview.. So this is making me sad because the clearance will take minimum 20 days from when I go do it tomorrow, then to send to the US for him to send off.. Well that could add a month to NVC stage if that's really what's needed!   I haven't been on here for a while because I'm feeling hopeless. We had an RFE which was fine, but I expected it to be approved soon after we sent the further evidence back and it hasn't been touched in 2 weeks    Thanks if anyone can clear up for me at what stage police fingerprint checks are needed, I'd be much appreciative. Once your approved by USCIS it takes about a month or more to get a case # from NVC so if you get working in your PCC now you will have it by the time you need it. . Good luck. IR-1 / CR-1 Spouse Visa Case Filing and Progress Reports	April 2013 I-130 Filers	So, I decided to check my status on the USCIS wedsite last night.  I was not able to log in. Apparently my password was reset by someone. Its only been a couple weeks since I logged in.  So this morning I changed my password AGAIN and checked my status.  It used to have NOV 27th as the last touch but when I looked this morning, it said Dec 3rd for my I-130 and Dec 2nd for my K-3.  I'm not getting too excited because it was probably just someone scanning us in at the TSC since we were transferred on Nov 27th.   I just thought it was weird that I couldn't log in. This happens to me alot.   Does anyone else have this problem and how often have you had to change your password? if at all?    Good Luck to the filers who are still not APPROVED.     THANKS USCIS for making our Christmas a happy one !!   Yes, I also had to reset my password at least 4 or 5 times in the last 9 months. I wasn't sure what the deal was with that. But it was very annoying. I think it was also when I hadn't logged in for awhile.   I've been praying for your approval. IR-1 / CR-1 Spouse Visa Case Filing and Progress Reports	April 2013 I-130 Filers	I would ask for a tier 2.  Teir 1's generally don't have much info.  I don't think it has anything to do with the 129f.  As I stated in an earlier post, my 129F got approved and I also recieved an email saying it got shipped to DOS. Today I recieved and email that my 130 was shipped to the NVC. But I didn't get one stating the 129f was shipped.  I checked the USCIS website and both the petitions were in the post decision activity stage. Maybe they only ship one to the NVC? Who knows?
