Hi All, I just wanted to share with you that we finally got our interview date at the Sydney Consulate on 2 February. We are both very excited and I feel relieved now that the long waiting is over. Just can't wait to be with my baby again. Thank you to everyone on VJ for your advice and support along the way. This is a great community to be a part of. For all those still waiting, hang in there. Ours took forever to go through (checkout my timeline), we filed through NSC and it was transferred to CSC, plus the IMBRA RFE. Hang in there and keep busy. If you find you are losing it get on here and talk to people. Read up about the interview and the things you need to do for AOS, etc. It all helps you handle the wait! Wishing you a speedy process! The thing that is so dissappointing is that you probably would have made your April date if they hadn't stuffed up. I think if you explain to USCIS via phone and ask for level 2 support, not the newbies on the call centre phones. They should be able to track it down and tell you the status. K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & Procedures	A newbie with timing concerns!	I am new to this site, found it out of desperation...trying to find answers to some of my questions. I am a US citizen and my fiance is coming over from Australia. We filed our petition back in June, 06 and our first notice date was on July 17, 2006. (Ours is at the California Service Center) We were assured by our immigration lawyer that we should have all this taken care of in no more than 6 months and he would be here in the states with me. So with that information, we thought an April wedding would be perfect. We have planned for a pretty big wedding on April 21, 2007. Yet, we have heard nothing! I have not received the second notice and once we do, we will still need to wait on everything to be done in Australia. Paperwork, interview, etc. I check the USCIS site daily for some updated info. The last 'touch' date shows Oct. 2006. I have read several timelines on this site from different members and it sure doesn't seem that any of the others have taken this long. Can anyone tell me if this timing seems a bit abnormal (we can not seem to get any info out of our lawyer, either)? Has anyone else had to wait this long? My biggest fear is that I will be standing at the altar without a groom. We have talked about rescheduling our wedding plans but we will loose a lot of money from venders with deposits and so much work will be lost. (Or if we just move the date back with all of our venders, they are so booked up now, it would be the end of 2007 or even 2008) I do feel we are close since the date for the I-129F on the USCIS site is July 17 (our date). But even if we are notified and things are sent to the American Embassy in Sydney in the next couple of weeks, I still don't know if we will have enough time to get him here by April. This has been the most stressful thing ever. If anyone has any suggestions for me, words of wisdom, or comments, I would love to hear from you. Even if you got your NOA2 today you still might not make April because you have to wait for it to go through NVC, then to the Sydney Consulate, then packet 3, then packet 4 and interview. That will take up to 3 months. Let me know if I can help in anyway with info. I just went through Sydney Consulate. Nice that evidence was so good, any suggestions or things you did differently? Brnidokiegurl, We just followed the VJ instructions and made sure we had originals of boarding passes and receipts for things when I visited such as accommodation in both names. Wedding dress receipts, phone bills, etc. Letters of intent for both of us. Then before I went I made sure everything was in the exact order of the checklist and had all my photcopies certified by at the police station. I think that helped. K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & Procedures	Visa Approved	Hey All.......I'M BACK! Visa is approved and Jake and I are really excited and happy about being together again for good! Where to start......what a day! Thank you to all of you for all your kind thoughts and words of support. VJ has been a godsend during this long and stressful process. It went so fast I was out in at 8am and out by about 9.30am. Plus the Wiggles were up there getting their Visas for their next tour so I had entertainment!! Was very cool....sleepy Geoff looks older in person! and it made me laugh so hard when the US Consulate guy called up Captain Feathersword! Was hilarious! You guys would have loved it! The lady who served me said "I just want to commend you on a excellent application" which was a relief as my fiance had accidently stood on his employment letter before he sent it and it had a big muddy footprint so I told her and apologised and she just laughed and said she gets much worse than that. At least it was an offical army boot print! Plus, he had used whiteout on the I-134 which is a no-no so I was worried that it would get knocked back. I was also dissappointed that they didn't want to see my beautiful evidence folder , I even asked them "Don't you want to see my evidence?" He said no there was enough evidence from the original petition. It took me hours to put that thing together!!! Well that's enough rambling from me. Good luck to everyone who's next. It was definitely easier than I thought, and thanks again to all you great people on VJ. What would I have done without you and all the helpful information. Good luck, the time goes fairly quickly and this is a great site to come to if you need info or are feeling a bit lonely. We have been going 7mths now and are getting towards the end of our visa process. What doesn't kill you makes you stronger. lol One thing is for sure...if you can get through this you can get through anything in your married life. It has definitely made our relationship stronger. K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & Procedures	Supporting Documentation for I134 form	You will need the I-134 for your interview. To prove that the USC can and is willing to support the Visa beneficiary which also requires meeting the poverty lines. You need to check out the guides here on VJ and read up about what is required as there are different requirements for military members as well. It's probably better that your bank and employer letters are dated closer to your interview time rather than getting them now as they will be more current and if you get an RFE (Request for Evidence) or go into Administrative Review whilst your petition is being processed this can delay things quite a bit. You can certainly start collecting bank statements and tax info though, no harm there. It takes up to 3 weeks to get the letter from the bank (depending on which bank you use) and some banks won't give them so you could check that out. Hope that helps. K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & Procedures	Skype call record question	Hi Ariana, We use Skype too and had the same problem so what I did was used the 'print screen' button on my keyboard and pasted it into a word document. When you do this you get the record of calls but you need to scroll down and print screen each section of call history. So you end up with a whole lot of printed screens in the word document but it shows all the calls. Hope this makes sense PM if you need help. Good luck!
