CanadaThings you do with your spouse / S.O. while apart
QUOTE (Wyatt's Torch @ Oct 29 2009, 02:25 PM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}>
Well, it's obviously a topic that we can all relate to! My wife and I have had many visits back and forth over the past year+, but in all the in-between times, what sorts of things do you and your significant others do?

Some of the things my wife and I do are...

-Watch movies together. We both rent the same DVD and we sync them up by saying, "Okay, press plaaaay...NOW!" Then pause/play, pause/play until I can hear through the phone that they're in sync. We've watched at least 50 movies this way, not to mention countless TV series. It is probably our main on-the-phone pastime.

-Read a novel together. We both get the same book, and take turns reading aloud to one another.

-Do crosswords over the phone. We don't do this much anymore (I'm a bigger crossword fan than she is), but it's great fun.

-Online games. We used to play Scrabble but after she started to get annoyed by how often I was beating her, we switched to Yahtzee...a game we're quite even at!

Any others? Keep it clean, folks... :whistle

we play mmorpg its good timekiller
and we watch online movies aka anime too

Hi Everyone,

What a great idea! VisaJourney t-shirts and/or other visajourney products!

Lol.....And it's so true, indeed!, as "Everything you say and/or do..I write on Visa Journey"

(and believe me, you can read my past and future posts for such detailed reviews)

I can see it now..."The VJ Online Store...", selling products for all your immigration needs!

(lol...Captain Ewok...Want to set that up?)...

for some reason searching for affidavit of support form took me to an old uscis form from 2006 that needed to be notarized.

the i-134 form i have is from 10.30.08 and does not require this extra step.

what to do, what to do?

The most current doesn't need to be notarized. No space for it, not necessary. Use the most current, you're fine without notarization.

humm anyone have the link for that ?

im also wondering if i need to notarize my Birth certificate..i got it translated for 25$ from a quebec aproven translator

CanadaMy POE Last week and today
Ya so i went to see my fiance on the 6 and i was with Air Canada this time... it was great they have inboard tv on the seats

the airport got a new look on that sector and you actually go through baggage drop and detector before talking to the officer...

was i was in the empty line of the officer boot i ask the guard to send me to someone that have a smile... he laughed a bit and said go to this one...
so i had a very nice Asian man. but he wasn't smiling but at least he was nice..
he asked me the usual
*where are you going ?
R- To see my fiance
*is he an USC?
R- Yes and we are on the process of the k-1...then i sigh and said and its taking super long
to that he said yes indeed it is long..
...then i smiled and said with all my happiness...We got our interview for the 1rst of december! !
*nice have a nice flight*
and he gave me my passport back

On my way back thought it was another story
no nice people at *all*

Los Angeles sector 2
maybe because i was wearing my jack Daniel shirt and my long pant..

i went in the line and there was a female officer that was basically just...standing at the beginning of it..
i hand her my passport and she look at it then look at me...
*oh that doesn't look like you*
i was like *huh ?* then i removed my glasses and she said..Ohhhh (*angry Eb is thinking ya ya ###### hahaha funny*)
then on the metal detector they made me move aside cause apparently my pants where too extensible...(kinda like Japanese pants with large legs)
then a lady came and touched my leg...(shivers ugly ugly lady...)

my flight was okay *still with Air Canada*
had some issues with the toilet and turbulence...but that's another story.. hihi

Yup, mine's in the fridge.
I'm kind of surprised they let people walk away with that pointy thing, but I think they know most of us dont want to do it ourselves.

Be prepared to spend almost 170 to 180 depending on where you go.
Try walmart if you can before anyone if you have to just straight out buy it without insurance.

There's a pointy thing sitting in my fridge right now? blink.gif
I was too scared to look in the Rx bag, haha.

Yeah, I opened the box and inside a plastic case there's the syringe and the needle has to be attached to it by the doctor.
There isnt much liquid either, which is nice.

okay but i tought medisys could do it... im so confuse and i dont really have time to go see my doc about it cause anyway she dont do vaccine...
im sure i can pay extra $ to have it done at medisys... i dont really care for the price if its less than 40$ to save...

I know... it's all in my head. I have a pretty high tolerance to pain, so it's not what bothers me... I start feeling faint as if they had taken 2 pints of blood, and I have passed out before from blood tests. sad.gif Even for vaccines, I end up making a huge fuss, get sweaty and anxious and have them give me the shot lying down. lol big baby.

Im glad the nurse who did it at your appointment was nice though. I heard someone who had her medical in TO say that when she mentioned she was afraid of needles, the nurse said something like "we're not here to make you feel more comfortable". B*tch.

haha well ya i was shaking and breathing a lot... i was expecting it to hurt and told her ...* please don't hurt me lol*
she said she won't and when she saw my face when she took it out she felt really sorry that it hurt a bit.. hehe

I believe you need your TD booster shot every 5 years.

Tetanus is every 10 years.

I had to get mine redone as mine was almost at the 10year mark. It was free at my regular doctor.

Im confused about their requirements regarding the Tdap. I got my last tetanus shot (+ diphteria) in 2002, and it says good for 10 years next to it.

But in the list of vaccines required for immigration, it says if you havent had a booster in 2 years, you need the Tdap. If I need it, Id rather go see my regular doctor for it, but it should really still be good for 2+ years.

Has anybody figured that one out?

Also, did you have to show up at 6h30 in the morning, like they do at the woking clinic in Van, or did you have an actual appointment during the day?

no i had an appointement at 1pm smile.gif i showed up at 12;45 and pass right away

Great to hear!!
Im not a morning people and I faint if I have to give blood, so the idea of getting up at 5h30 to go get needles stuck in my arm is a freaking nightmare.
