K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & ProceduresNebraska transferees?
I don't think there is much to guage here.

They are likely working through things as they come across them to clear the backlog. Given the randomness of approvals, that seems clear to me. I would like to think they'd have a group specifically looking at recalled petitions, but that doesn't appear to be happening, or recalled people would be getting some news.

And don't forget that anyone who answered YES to IMBRA may be facing yet another delay, regardless of their NOA1 or RFE acknowledged date.

Or maybe I am just in a bad mood today! :P

K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & ProceduresHow much longer?
Are you sure your cheque has not been cashed? That is odd, as you have received an NOA1, AND an IMBRA RFE.... it isn't like the government to lose a cheque!

Hockey, Just out of curiousity, where you from? I'm asking specifically because of your timeline. It seems that your dates are done as europeans do??? Just curious as to why?

(edited due to misreading the first time)

I am from Canada - Quebec originally. I just like to go day/month/year. I get confused otherwise!

K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & ProceduresWhere are the CSC approvals today???

I've now moved on to obsessing about how long it will take for our case to get to the consulate in Mexico and how long he will have to wait for his interview . . . never a peaceful moment for me!!!

What would this visa journey be without anticipatory stress? ;)
hockeygalFemaleCanada2006-07-27 14:32:00
K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & ProceduresGoing crazy with the waiting......
You would have to submit a copy of the divorce decree with the application, so you can't really apply in the process of waiting to be divorced.

Unless you left it out and waited for an RFE! But we do not recommend such blatant pork pie behaviour on VJ.

Seriously, the waiting and being apart sucks, but this is serious stuff, so you don't want to do anything half-arsed. Good luck.

K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & ProceduresOk, idiotic question I'm not going to like the answer too, butttttttt
we took lots of photos when we first started dating...5 years ago! So I included a few copies of pics just to show us together. I hadn't kept much of anything, but thankfully leading up to filing we met a couple of times so I kept those boarding passes, including the one trip where we are seated next to one another. Everything else is kind of hobbled together, and the photos will likely be of little value.

When CSC gets around to giving me their decision in 6 or 7 months, I will let you know whether the lack of recent photos was a problem or not....

K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & ProceduresAddress change?
I just moved yesterday. That is all Ineed - another slow-down.

I don't think it is a problem though. I think I read on here once that you can either call USCIS with her new address, or she can contact the consulate after approval with her new address.

Maybe someone who has done this can respond to you for sure. My plan is to wait until approval and let the embassy know where they can send Package 3 to....

K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & Proceduresspeedier after NOA2

I called NVC, they are so polite!!!!!! I said, wow you guys are so helpful & fast, much more so than USCIS. She said, yes, we are! :P

They rec'd mine yesterday & it's going to London today!!!!

2 day turnaround!

cool! I hope things speed through the embassy portion too!

KitKat - in keeping with the approvals and RFE dates, I bet you will probably hear something, maybe even late next week. And I say that having consulted no planetary alignments or tarot cards. ;)

hee. astrologyzone.com I also like that it says I could get a good email from others, far away...

of course, she also says other things I don't like, so I will have to pick and choose!

K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & ProceduresAHHHHHHH an E-mail from CRIS!!!!!!!
The stars say I will have approval on August 23rd, and an interview in September. Hey, astrology makes about as much sense as anything else these days. Certainly more sense than any emails coming out of USCIS. :P

Capricorn: From the new moon in Virgo on August 23 onward, you will feel like you entered a new universe. The environment will change dramatically and be so much more to your liking. This new moon will fall in your house of foreign people and places…. Foreign people will be lucky for you, too. You may not have to travel outside your office but instead be on the phone, fax, and email with others based afar, and do quite well. ….If you would like to become a citizen of another country, this would be the time to make application. See immigration lawyers, and prepare paperwork.

You seem to have an enormous focus on all things involving these ninth house activities, because next month the solar eclipse will fall in the very same house. It's very unusual to have two new moons in the same house (a solar eclipse is a new moon too), so this tells me a great deal of energy is being beamed into this house by the universe.

K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & ProceduresAHHHHHHH an E-mail from CRIS!!!!!!!
dammit. I missed a sulk party! And I coulda brought scotch!

William - this totally sucks. I am not sure what kind of RFE would be better - a second IMBRA RFE, or one asking for supporting docs. I hope it is whichever one will put you on the fast track for NOA2.

K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & ProceduresRFE=Start Over your Days

We feel the same over here at VSC. All March people have been totally disregarded besides a lucky few. This week on VJ VSC has almost seen no action whatsoever except for a small amount of cases. It's managment from top down, it's a joke and bad example of governemental inefficiency throughout the USCIS.

Yep, more annoyance there.

Maybe nothing is happening at VSC because they are busy cranking out approvals for CSC.... :o
hockeygalFemaleCanada2006-08-04 14:50:00
K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & ProceduresRFE=Start Over your Days

The thing they SHOULD have done was to send out RFEs based on NOA1 date. That would have been the equitable and correct way to handle it. After they sent all the March NOA1 date RFEs, they could have moved on and sent out the next batch a few weeks later. If someone in the March group was out of the country or unable to return the RFE, they would not have had to "hold" any other petitions that were ready for approval and had the returned RFE. But sending out RFEs randomnly with no regard whatsoever for original NOA1 dates is where they f*cked up royally.

Yep. I know it is crazy for me to harbour such resentment over this, especially since I am not even a March NOA1, but the randomness of the RFE mailing is really stuck in my craw.

K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & ProceduresRFE=Start Over your Days
yes, it is basically being told "tough luck buddy". That is what they are doing, processing by RFE date - but the processing is going quickly. They are up to July 10 or so now....

Of course, there are still people with earlier RFE dates who have heard nothing, and some people who filed a long time ago who haven't even received their RFE yet, and I just can't fathom that.
hockeygalFemaleCanada2006-08-04 14:09:00
K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & ProceduresHELP!!!
they did get your RFE on the 7th though, so you may very well be getting an NOA2 soon!

PS - It appears Mr. Lonely got a similar email when he sent in a request. And lots of touches.
