K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & ProceduresPassport of Foreign fiancee in 129F package??
I didn't send in a copy of my passport or BC. I did bring my PP & long form BC to the interview. I'm the 'foreigner'.

K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & ProceduresI-129f problems
Just on the off shot that you didn't receive your NOA2, call the NVC just in case 603-334-0700, you will have to speak to an operator (do not use the automated system) and answer a few questions.

Also, please only create 1 thread about this particular issue, I had to search for your other 2 threads to get the full story about this. It's less confusing for all of us. :)

K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & ProceduresProof of meeting/ongoing relationship
I've bolded what I think you should include.

Thunder Bay to KY, wow!! what a long trip.

First Meeting (Craig came to see me):
-Greyhound bus ticket with Craig's name + date showing trip to/from Thunder Bay, On to Louisville, KY
-Itnerary printed from Priceline.com showing Galt House hotel room reserved for the dates of the trip
-Photos from meeting
-Affidavit from my friend saying that she saw us together in the living room of her home (visiting)
-Timesheets from both of our employers showing the time taken off during dates of visit

Second Meeting (I drove up to see Craig):
-Photos from meeting
-Timesheets from both of our employers showing the time taken off during dates of visit
-----NOTE: I am thinking about leaving this one off the list. I drove up to see him, so I have no proof of travel and I didn't keep any of my receipts. Also, WE didn't take any of the photos, so we are having a hard time getting them from his friends.

Third Meeting (I flew up to see Craig):
- Boarding passes to/from Louisville to Thunder Bay
- Luggage claim tickets
- Itenerary printed from Hotwire.com showing booking of ticket
- Photos from meeting
- Receipt from Canadian/American money exchange
- Receipts from Minneapolis/St. Paul airport (where my connecting flight was, and my POE)
-Timesheets from both of our employers showing the time taken off during dates of visit

Fourth Meeting (Upcoming, I'm flying to see Craig):
- Boarding passing to/from Louisville to Thunder bay
- Luggage claim tickets
- Itenerary printed from NWA.com showing booking of ticket
- Receipts from MY debit card showing purchases in Thunder Bay
- Receipts from Craig's debit card showing purchases at same places/same times in Thunder Bay (we are thinking going to the movies and each paying for our own ticket with our own debit cards and other things of the such)
- Statements from both our accounts showing above transactions
- Professional photos (we are getting our engagement shots done at a portrait studio while up there)
- Photos with miscellaneous people and city monuments.
- Affidavits from his friends and family saying that they have met me on multiple occassions
- Western Union transfer, with both of our names on it, when Craig gave me a portion of the money for the plane ticket
-Timesheets from both of our employers showing the time taken off during dates of visit

Now that I write this out, maybe I should just include all of it? And explain all the meetings? Any individual meeting doesn't look like a whole lot of proof.

While it all tells a story, itineraries don't prove the trip was actually taken nor do timesheets.

I would include an explanation that outlines your meeting dates...
trip 1. Craig came to KY during xx/xxxx to xx/xxxx
trip 2. I went to ON during xx/xxxx to xx/xxxx
trip 3. I went to ON during xx/xxxx to xx/xxxx
trip 4. I went to ON during xx/xxxx to xx/xxxx

And any pictures, boarding passes, ATM receipts. Phone the Galt House and see if they can issue a receipt with name(s) on it, I had to do that for one of our trips.

You can each put your own addresses on your own letters, addressed to the Service Center. For your 2nd letters, at the interview stage, you can address them to the Embassy.

The CSC used to be fast, back in May & June of 2005, but that is no longer the case. You can do a search of timelines (up top, blue tabs, immigration timelines) to get a better idea of your wait time.

Unfortunately (in your case) they require original signatures on documents. Copies, printouts, emails, faxes, etc... will not suffice.

In addition to calling, also send them a letter notifying them of the change. You can find the address on the USCIS website, there are a few for the CSC, just weed through them.

Check with the military 'legal people'. Being non-military I don't remember the name but its short form is 3 letters, JAG maybe? You can also do a search on here for it, your search has to be 4 characters, so you'd search for JAG* for example, that might help out.

1. Not unless deployed

2. Indicate it in appropriate fields on forms, you might also want to include it in your cover letter or a seperate letter.

K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & ProceduresNervous and Confused...help?

Well, i would include a timeline, but I don't really know what the abreviations stand for, or what 'touched' implies, lol. Could someone direct me to the faq's?

-sammie

"What is touched" is a question asked daily, a quick search should help you out.

The Guides and FAQs are located at the top of every page in blue tabs.

A 'proper' timeline is in your user profile, you can click on your user name and there will be a link for it. A timeline done this way helps others as it adds to the statistics the site generates, adding it to your signature as previously suggested only allows others to see it quickly under your posts and does not link it to the stats.

Good luck and I hope you have your approval quickly

K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & ProceduresFiancee's mother had her visitor visa revoked at LAX

If I get the NOA2, are we clear?

You are not 'clear' until she has the Visa in hand and even then there have been problems at the POE, see old topics from user: liam4lisa. His situation is not the same as yours, I'm just pointing out that a Visa is not a 100% guarantee to easy USA entrance. A NOA2 only means that the petition has been approved, not the Visa.

K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & ProceduresJust Curious

Would someone inquiring about your case trigger a “touch?” I don’t think so because touches are based on actual internal processing.

Can someone she some light on this?

Yes, a phone call or email inquiring about the case will usually result in a touch.

Thanks. So based on them picking up their mail so early, my 10:30 a.m. delivery to their P.O. Box won't be picked up by them until tomorrow? It's Express Mail so they have to return to the Post Office to sign for it. Usually Post Office's don't open until 9 a.m. I hope that having to sign for the package doesn't make them mad.

It's okay, it happens to them every day and happened with our petition as well. Check USPS online tomorrow morning, you'll see that it was signed for.

K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & ProceduresWithdraw I-129F and I-212?
I too am confused about the I-212 being filed prior to the Visa denial. From the USCIS I-212 instructions
"If you are abroad and intend to apply for a nonimmigrant visa or border crossing card, submit this application to the American Consul with whom you submit your visa or crossing card application, if instructed to do so by the Consul."

Thankfully something is now happening with your case, I hope you have let your lawyer go and things move along quickly for you :)
