K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & Procedures	RFE - Its been 15 days since CSC receive it	It took 2 weeks for us to get an acknowledgement. I think you will hear something soon. All these delays are causing problems with our relationship, so Sept. 21 I'll be going down to Mexico for a visit. Hopefully this will help. (Aside from the fact that theses days the Customs functions and the Immigration functions have been put into the same branch of DHS.) Yodrak I would check with US Customs. I am quite certain I read someone on this site traveled from Canada to the US with the visa in her passport, but did not have to activate it. She had to make a couple of trips for wedding planning, before moving. That may have worked in one instance, but this is not permitted in theory and should not under any circumstances be encouraged.. ok, I was not encouraging, I was sharing info I read of another person's experience and suggested he call to find out from the horse's mouth exactly what is allowed and not allowed. I think people should find out from the source, and not just take it on face value what people say on this site. That is where I was going with it. I hope that doesn't mean they haven't sent it to NVC yet!!! me too. But I guess not everyone gets "touched" again afterwards. It has been 3 weeks though, and still not at NVC. K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & Procedures	Waiting Again!	It takes 2 - 4 weeks to transfer petitions from CSC to NVC. For my case, it took 20 days. I approved on August 31, and NVC received on September 20. well what batch is my file in? As of 5PM yesterday, my file was still not at NVC. I know. Keep waiting! I have only been asked to provide my own birth certificate. It is noted in the instructions, so in spite of whether other people used one or not, why not just include it and be safe?
