K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & ProceduresAnyone K-1 over 100 days from CSC?
It is difficult.

The separation is putting a lot of stress on my relationship too. By the time we are approved, it may no longer even matter.

K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & ProceduresAnyone K-1 over 100 days from CSC?
Yikes. Well, I truly, honestly hope all you March and earlier folks hear something very very soon. Certainly before I do, because I am all about fairness! ;)

127 for me, I think, since noa1. Of course, you realize, USCIS doesn't count weekends, so in their books we have all waited much less.

Clearly, I have to stop going to the gym and come on the boards at night to join the drinking party. Am I the only one who drinks scotch around here?

K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & ProceduresRFE
I think it is Request For Evidence. Or something close to it. That is what they are asking for anyhow!

technically, if we send in an incomplete form, then it is incomplete! realistically though, most people get approved very soon after a second RFE.

K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & ProceduresThe new over 100 topic.

Gordon, I have to agree. I know kitkat has a waiver but I don't think GaryC or hockeygal does.

We were approved in 84 days. I lived in England for 2 years while in college, met him there. We dated for almost 2 years before filing - IN PERSON, not online. We both have never married. We are in our mid 30s. But England is not a high fraud country. But neither is Canada, is it? (Some Canadians are having delays)

Ah, who knows, but I know my case was very straightforward & labelled correctly.

It would be nice to think there was a reason, but I doubt it, as there have been many people who met in person once and filed right after, from allegedly high fraud countries who have been approved. Even people who checked "yes" to IMBRA have been approved!

He is an upstanding USC, I am a Canadian, we've been seeing each other on average every 6 weeks for 5 years, our petition was in lovely order... I can't see why we would be requiring special checks etc. He happens to have a very high security clearance, but I don't think that would matter, since I have already been checked out regarding that by them, and departments do not share info like that anyhow. I wish they'd send me another RFE or something so at least I'd know my petition wasn't in lovely order afterall!

Nope, I am going with the storage room/pinata theory. ;)

K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & ProceduresThe new over 100 topic.
I can understand why I am in this boat, not having been in the first round of RFE's and then getting caught up in the processing pile... but some of you guys got your RFEs early on... combined with an early NOA1 date... it boggles. And it sucks.

I've stopped checking the USCIS site. It pains me to see it stuck on the RFE received date! But I set my inbox to notify me with a special sound if I get any email from USCIS. It will go "ta-daaa!" and I will fall out of my chair.

I'm still here.

But I am still hoping it will all resolve itself soon enough and I can be there by Christmas. That is reasonable, right?

(a couple of weeks ago, my timeline said I'd be approved by Aug. 27, now it says Sept. 9. Wonder what it will say next week...)

I am approuching 180 days soon :( . And I am from Vermont.

That is outrageous.

K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & ProceduresI feel an approval coming in a week or so or around!
He is a new filer in Vermont. He will be approved momentarily!

Then there are other people from Vermont, recalled cases etc who are still waiting. I hate USCIS.

(not meant to rain on your parade Sling... I do hope you get NOA2 very soon!)

K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & ProceduresThis weeks CSC/TSC/NSC timeline
I've been on holiday for a week, so I have missed the approval announcements!

We happened to check uscis one day while we were away, and we were approved. I really did think though, that it meant there was a flurry of approvals happening... I am kind of sad to see that some of you March and early April folks ae STILL waiting....! I will have to start backtracking through a week's worth of posts now to see who I've missed!

K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & ProceduresNo touch at all

That's what we were told too, but hey! this Saturday it will be 6 months from our NOA1 and they will have to do A LOT of explaining!  :protest: :ranting: :bonk:

I can't believe you still don't have your RFE. That is so unacceptable.

K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & ProceduresChanging addres to which Packet 3 is sent
well, I just got this message from the embassy:

Once we receive your approved petition we will then send you the next package to your new address, until then no action can be taken. In the meantime, if you wish to save sometime you may try to obtain passport if you do not have one, and your long form birth certificate showing parents name.

So I guess depending on the particular consulate, you can contact them and they will keep the info. This is Vancouver, and by all accounts, they are pretty great to deal with. :)

But I think it probably is a safer bet to go through NVC.

K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & ProceduresChanging addres to which Packet 3 is sent
My boyfriend should be calling NVC today to update my address. We have no idea if they have the file yet or not... it seemed like the simplest thing to do.

I also sent an email to the consulate, but since I don't have an NVC number, I doubt it will solve anything!

K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & ProceduresWe all know touches mean nothing (or close to nothing).
Touches are better than no touches. it doesn't always mean you are about to be approved, but it does mean someone is looking at your file, and that at least means movement!

It's starting to look like the CSC is finally getting back on track. I have a feeling that the petitions will be done in a timely manner from now on. IMBRA and the delays will soon be just a bad dream that is over.
