I'm actually in the exact same situation. I'm an American, and my boyfriend is a Canadian. We are not yet engaged, but he has been visiting for the past year for 90 days at a time (we thought he was only allowed 90 days without an official visitor visa?) We are really close to getting engaged, but not sure AT ALL how to go about it. Reading through all of this information is so confusing. My biggest question is whether we'd have to go for the K-1 or if we could just get married (either in US or Canada) and go for a K-3 and if he would still be allowed to "visit" down here at that time or if he would have to go home during that time?

Open to any advice!

K-3 is not an option it is closed at the NVC stage.

You will get an RFE if you did not include any proof of meeting such as airline tickets/ passport stamps etc.

Your welcome! from your description and from experience with someone in my family having one in almost the same area it sounded like thats what it was. I don't think it would be a problem with the exam but I didn't have my medical in the Phils or anything so i'm not sure if they look badly on that sort of thing but its not contagious or anything like that which is what they usually look for on the medicals. You guys should try to see a doctor and have it examined to at least get a proper diagnosis of it if it is in fact lipoma then choose where to go from there be it surgery in Phils or in the USA etc.
She may have been afraid or embarrassed to tell you - I know i'm afraid or embarrassed to tell my husband things that are going on sometimes.

I contacted the NVC twice, First they told me to scanned and sent the a copy of the approval. The they said they will look into it. Now I am just waiting and starting to worry. Was so happy to get NOA2 now backed to waiting and worrying again.

If you want to marry in the Phils you should cancel the K-1 now and go marry her in the Phils then file a Spousal petition instead.

If you marry and then try to enter on a K-1 that is mis-representation. You cannot adjust status because you are already married and did not abide by the rules of the K-1.

You shouldn't need to tell them but if they start getting pushy it may help them to know that you have intention of doing things the right way, also may help if you have some of the paperwork like the notice of action /approval letter/interview letter etc depending on where you are in the process.

Canadians do not need B2 visas to enter the USA for vacation. You just go with your passport.

Yes you can visit while you wait for your K-1 but you will want to bring ties to Canada with you - eg letter from job expecting you back / rental papers/bills etc things showing you must return to Canada aside from a return ticket.

I filed the i29f fiance visa and sent it in on october 7 and recieved a letter and an email back that it was recieved and it is in initial review. It is now january 10 a little more than 3 months since then and I havent recieved anything else and It is still at initial rievew on the uscis website. Im starting to get a little worried. Is there something I should have done that I havent or was there something I was suppose to recieve in this period of time. I really dont want to mess this up my fiance is really all I have in this world and we truely need eachother and need to be with eachother. I need a little help or guidence. What should I do. Should I call them? If so which office would I call or service center. Im completely lost here. Please help me. Thank you for your time.

You need to follow the prompts for address change and an operator will pick up.

You will need to provide proof as to why you need the expedite request. It must meet the request criteria.
You can try but I don't think they will accept your request. With a K-1 she cannot work until she has an EAD or green card and that will be quite a few months after entry to the USA, marriage and filing for AOS.

A Fiance visa is not for visiting its for getting married and staying in the USA. If the son wants to visit only then he should apply for his own tourist visa.
If you are talking about getting him a K-2 visa yes he is required to go to a medical pay for it and go to the interview and pay for the visa there as well.

I just don't see the benefit of brining him only to get to the consulate and find out that the child isn't even permitted to enter. If he has adequate care while you are away, then I suggest you go alone

You'll want to check with the consulate, if he's not specifially being interviewed they may not let him in. I mean I could have brought my dad to the interview so the CO could ask him about our relationship, but obviously he wouldn't be permitted in now would he?
