K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & ProceduresK1 interview in work or home country?
On the I-129F you will specifiy which consulate so I assume it would be Saudi Arabia if more convenient.

K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & ProceduresG325a form
QUOTE (zidane @ Oct 9 2008, 02:34 PM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}>
I don't think they can photocopy it. Since all the sheets are numbered at the bottom and are for the records of different people it seems.

you can call up USCIS and tell them you'll be mailing out the G235A again. we only photocopied continuing sheets and I think we attached one sheet to each form sheet.

Personally I would wait for an RFE as if it is sent now it is likely it will just be stuck in a pile of paperwork at USCIS.

K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & ProceduresG325a form
Well when it is printed out there will be four sheets numbered 1-4 so I'm not sure how he only printed one. He might get an RFE as each sheet goes to four different places. However if the officer is feeling generous they may photocopy it.

If it's for individual boxes where a little + appears then you can write it out by hand. That happened with me as a have a long street name so just wrote it in by hand.

They may send you an RFE. I would wait as if you send anything now it will just be stuck in with all other peoples cases at USCIS

QUOTE (mikeandjoana @ Sep 12 2008, 05:48 AM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}>
Hi, have any of you out there had to create a separate cover letter for your evidence of proof of meeting and having a relationship. I have so much stuff from my 2 trips, it's overwhelming me and I'm having some serious difficulty putting this together. I have boarding passes from both trips, my stamped passports, both itinireries, hotel receipts from both trips, luggage tags, emails, letters, plane tickets together, 5x7 photos, etc.

We met on match.com and I mentioned that in the first sentence of how we met. Is that a problem?

I did a kind of cover letter, I just listed the evidence, giving a brief description.

K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & ProceduresI need advices VJs...
1. Yes however you can do it before marriage aswell.
2. No as you will have to go to a SSA office to get your SSN.
3. Yes if you get the temp EAD stamp at POE, if you don't then you won't be able to work until you get your EAD. You file for this alongside AOS and takes about 90 days.

Check the guides which will tell you more.

Immigration with intent to stay/adjust is fraud. And believe me they probably will find out.

Yes you can visit but I suggest that you bring documents to prove that you intend to go back so that you will not be denied at POE.

Yup, documents like a letter from employer, rental agreements, house bills etc.

I think you are almost there. Judging by your timeline hopefully you'll get the NOA2 very soon.

Your not alone though. I last saw my fiance in August and will not see him again until February. It's hard but we get through it in our own little ways! Hang in there and soon you'll have the rest of your lives together.

To USCIS, won't a divorce decree be seen as legally available to marry. Do they take into consideration all the states different rules and regulations? In this case the fact they have to wait 6 months?

You say your divorce will be final in a few weeks and you haven't filed the I-129F. The K-1 process will probably take over 6 months. So by the time you come to marry the 6 month waiting period will be over.

Please bear in mind that the whole process to get a K-1 visa and move to the US can take up to a year.

USCIS goes by federal law, not state law. So once you have your divorce certificate, you are classed as free to marry.
Laura+TomFemaleUnited Kingdom2008-10-10 07:46:00
K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & Proceduresletter of intent to marry
Both of you need to do a letter of intent to be incuded with the I-129F. It is to be addressed to the USCIS service center you are sending your petition to.

It can follow this format

(petitioner’s / beneficiary’s address)

United States Department of Homeland Security
U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services

(USCIS service center address)

(date mm-dd-yyyy)

Dear Sir or Madam:

I, (applicant’s or beneficiary’s name) , do hereby state that I am legally able and willing to marry (petitioner’s or beneficiary’s name), and intend to do so within 90 days of my arrival into the US using the K-1 visa.

Yours truly,

(signature)

K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & ProceduresOngoing emails with I-129F in English?
If they are perfectly innocent emails then I don't see the harm in submitting one or two. I submitted one. It referenced a trip to Bahrain that I took to see my OH so it kinda tied in with the rest of the evidence. It also showed evidence that Tom was in Bahrain due to the numbers and address in his signature block matching the details on the I-129F.

Over 18 is ok to file. Not sure about the co-sponsor only that you will need one (doesn't have to be parents). No you do not physically need to be in the US but you will need to prove US domicile. BTW if it's you that is married you can't apply for a K-1.

I'm with Karen. There is no way the embassy will know it was written after the notarization.

See, I was thinking the same thing as you and Karin, but the thing is that my handwriting (albeit in block capitals) will still be noticeably different from the co-sponsor's, thus showing that the form was completed by two different people - you with me?

And Susie, 'er indoors could procrastinate for America, so there's no chance of getting another one over in time!! laughing.gif

Ah, I assumed that it had been done on the computer!

No, however if you want to and if you are allowed (not all embassys allow it) you may tag along to the beneficiary's interview.

Hi Laura
Just wondered if you knew about London, would my fiance be allowed to tag along to mine when I adventually get it, I would love to make him sweat it out as well ha ha

I think they can but it's worth checking with London as the info on the embassy pages might be out of date. I'm hoping Tom can come to mine.

K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & ProceduresQuestions
Yes it still should be fine, as long as it has the two lines of readable numbers and >>>>>> on the ID page it is fine. They are rolling out the biometric passports but they will accept all the older style ones until they expire. If in doubt check this link which details all the valid passports you can use http://www.usembassy...iv/mrp_bio.html

They only started issuing these 2005/2006 so by 2016 everyone should have a biometric passport and they will probably stop accepting the old one. I will change mine after I get married as they are very expensive!

Hey you VJs !
Just some questions...
We filed in july for the K1 with the California center.

- I would like to know what is the official name of the afidavit of support in packet 3 ? I know that 2 different exist and I would like to know which one I need so my fiancé can send it to me a couple weeks before. Is called the I-134

- Can you tell me if the bank paper and stuff have to be at a special date ? I mean, if he send me the papers 2 weeks before I receive the package is it ok ?Yes thats fine

- Last question, I have a valid passport but not the last one, I think that I have the biometric and not the numeric. I'm in the states right now so I know that it is ok to travel, but is it ok to immigrate ? As long as your passport is current and has at least 6-8 months left on it before it expires, it is fine. Biometric is the new style so that is OK.

Love
Ju

K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & ProceduresI-129F- What country do I put?
I put a combination of England, UK and Great Britain on all my forms lol. I really should have stuck to one, but I do it without thinking!

I'll probably get an RFE because I can't decide what country I live in.
