The OP said they had a child in 2009 and visits 2-3 times per year. Where does it say the OP hasn't been with their fiancee since 2009?

I met my fiancee way back 2004. We have a child on 2005 then another on 2009 so all in all we have 2 kids. I periodically fly to manila maybe 3-4 times/year to be with them.

I would think our case would weigh more because we are more than two years and we have kids!


there he didn't say he visited them 3 to 4 times a year after , what we want to know here is when was the last time he visited here if he visited last 2009 and nothing more then i will stand with my previous answer, but if he visited them in 2010 till 2012 then that's another story.

the OP said they had a child in 2009, not that they haven't seen each other since then. Please don't scare the OP into thinking they will be denied. They merely just need to send evidence that they have met after january of 2010 which they have and will send to USCIS.

it means you have to provide a proof that you and your fiance met within 2 years, so the last time you were together was 2009 right? and you filed this year so it means you went over 2 years. i am sorry to say this but the petition will be denied. uscis requires that the beneficiary and the petitioner must meet within 2 years before filing, maybe you both were thinking that relationship must be 2 years old but that's not it, even your relationship is just 3 months but you already met in person it is ok to file, but even your relationship is 10 years but the last time you saw him/her in person was over 2 years ago and you file it will only be denied.

it depends we still need to wait for our MNL case # before we can proceed to visa process i just got my noa2 last tuesday now the waiting game starts again, waiting for case # from NVC :)

yes me too LOL, i kept checking my email before and uscis website when i click on check status at least 5 times a day, when i checked before i close my eyes first and open it slowly, :rofl: then one day i was tired of doing and felt so down i was talking to my fiance on skype i open my yahoo messenger, while talking to my fiance YM gave me a notice that i have an email i seen case status update i was really shaking i didn't know if i open the email or not LOL when i finally open it i was so happy and didn't know what to say my fiance kept saying hey!! say something, what happen to you, then finally i said sorry i just got an email from uscis that we are approved, then my fiance said send it to me! send it to me! instead of checking his email he ask me to send it to him :bonk: then i sent it to him, when he open it all i can hear was OH MY GOD! OH MY GOD! OH MY GOD!!! then both of us didn't know what to say, maybe that's the result of 182 days of waiting hahaha.

Awww thats so sad. Did you asked him why he need a soul searching? Sometimes "soul searching" is just another way of saying i found somebody else. Im sorry for being so blunt. You need to know the truth not a sugar coated excuses.

he told me that he was diagnosed last Wednesday of high risk depression something like that, he just retire from USMC and he is having hard time of adjusting as a civilian since he was in USMC for 30 years. now that he started taking classes he started to act like this, I told him maybe he found a new girl from the class or from the school he said no, but i told him he needs to tell me if he found someone else i told him i will never insist my self to him and i will never beg him to be with me, i just don't like to look stupid waiting. he said all he need is few days i said you can take your time. i just find it weird because he just took his kids at the airport to visit their mom for couple of month so he's going to be all alone, why he don't want me to talk to him now that he's alone, in my mind now i am thinking half stupid half good. i really don't know what to think anymore.

I have been dumped. And what's even worse is that today is my birthday. He gave me excuses about his family was starting a business and he was the only one who could run it and someone here can make me happier and his family doesn't want him to come here. I think he has someone else but he insists that he doesn't. My heart is really broken. So I think I will be alone for awhile. What's crazy is that I wss reading messages from the beginning of this months and it was the opposite. I was the one telling him how hard this was and he was assuring me that it could work if we love each other. I'm just so sad. I'm too embarrassed to tell my family and friends. Everything was fine until he went their annual family vacation. He has been back since Friday and picks my birthday to break up with me. But God knows best. I hope I will soon find that person that he has made just for me.

I feel you :( starting today me and my fiance will not be talking for a while, he said needed the time for soul searching, in my mind why now that we're almost there, we are still waiting for noa2, I told him that i love him so much and it will really hurt me not talking to him for a while, I told him that if the reason of his decision is someone else he should tell me, but he promise that he will never cheat on me, i told him promises are meant to be broken and all cool off's ended with breaking up. he said no, we were so happy laughing and joking then he suddenly asked for a space, right now i really don't know how to deal with it but i know I'll be ok, I know deep inside my heart I'm still hoping that we will be ok but if that time will not happen i will just accept it.

After my notice date of may 2 2012 I finally get my case number for bogota.
Let me tell you what a relief it took 47 days to get from Uscis to NVC don't ask me why but that's what it took and right about now I'm soooo happy to keep the process moving that all this wait now is well worth it.
To all those people on the wait just keep your faith don't lose track of what got you here in the first place which is that person you love.
Thanks to all of you that kept my spirits high thanks you will keep everyone posted on the rest of my journey.

Hope? 182 days? people keep talking about hope and faith etc... guys! we don't need hope or faith cause we know we will be approved! At this stage we just need to know WHEN!I know everyone means well but talking about believing, hoping and being strong isn't helping when we know you already have your approvals in your pockets and we are still waiting, most of us over 165 days now! ... I am extremely bitter right now like an old woman! At this very moment I am seriously thinking of dropping it all and just making my baby to move with me to Spain where I actually know for a fact I would be happy! I don't know if I want to move somewhere , where the government service is as poor as in my own country which I have left long time ago...

Thank you, i was talking to my fiance on skype my YM is also on then i seen that i received an email i seen it is from uscis i was so scared to open it, scared to see if it is an rfe or a problem because it was already 6 months, when i open it my hands were really shaking my fiance said what happen? i said i got an email from uscis that we're approved, he said send it to me all he can say when he read it was wow wow wow LOL, i am just so happy, really happy a lot of my feb filer friends are already approved i thought it will never happen :)

WE JUST GOT OUR NOA2!!!

They sent the email at 8:45 pm local time!! I was so excited I was jumping around the room, hahah!!

Just for the record, our petition was at CALIFORNIA, our NOA1 date was January 20, so we were ONE WEEK away from the 5 month mark. :dance: :dance: :dance: :dance: :dance:

Im worried about my Saudi Arabia Police Clearance, how can i secure police clearance from saudi arabia. I worked there last March 2006 until April 2008. As part of the requirements in interview we need to secure this police clearance. Has any of you here VJers an idea about this? Please help me.

Police clearances are available for Saudi citizens and resident third country nationals. Saudi citizens currently residing overseas must return in person to process the police clearance.

Saudi citizens and third country nationals residing in the Kingdom process the police clearances by first obtaining a police clearance request letter from U.S. Embassy Riyadh, U.S. Consulate General Jeddah, or U.S. Consulate General Dhahran. This police clearance request letter, signed by a consular officer, must be attested by the Saudi Ministry of Affairs (current fee is SR30). The applicant must then appear personally with a passport-sized photograph and a national ID or residency permit at the regional Criminal Investigation Department for fingerprinting. Fingerprinting for women is done in a separate room. The police clearance should be available for collection after a week or two.

NO NEED TO ATTEND SEMINAR WHEN YOU APPLY FOR PHILIPPINE PASSPORT. WHAT SHE NEED TO BRING IS HER UPDATED NBI, AND BIRTH CERTIFICATE FROM THE NSO WHICH IS AUTHENTICATED.THRN SHE MIGHT NEED TO BRING EXTRA VALID ID LIKE POSTAL ID OPTIONAL.I AM FROM MINDANAO (DAVAO CITY) I GOT MY PASSPORT THERE TOO AT DEPARTMENT OF FOREIGN AFFAIRS DAVAO CITY. I HOPE THIS WILL HELP YOU.

They are going deny her at DFA office it is a must/required doc for getting passport along with all the docs you said CFO certificate is one of the required docs. I am 100% sure she will be denied getting her Philippines passport without the CFO certificate, she was already there and they already asked her for the CFO certificate.
it is another pain in the butt but to those applicants that is married to a foreigner they must get the CFO certificate first. once she get her Visa she don't have to do the seminar again to get her sticker since CFO seminar has no expiration :)

HI, I suggest declaring your wife's pregnancy when there is a question that asks about it. You have to be honest in answering all the questions.
She should get a passport before she can apply for a visa. Google about applying for passport in the Philippines, I don't understand why she needs to attend a seminar to get one.

here in the Philippines before she can get her passport using her married name she have to get CFO certificate first since it is one of the required docs to get passport using your married name and that only applies to applicant that is married to a foreigner.

you can answer almost all youre questions if you read the guides first before asking,,as long as he is divorced he will be fine but the embassy will not care where you were born, you will need proof of who you are or you will be denied,,after 9/11 in usa alot of things changed and its not as easy as it once was.if he is still in military that will help,they are given some help that others cant recieve,but if he is and he has kids he probably wont meet the financial standards to bring you here without help,that will make it more difficult,many of our friends are from southern filipines so that is not a problem but unless you are a very serious muslim who adheres to all the rules,why make it harder on youreself,just my opinion, not based on any studies,it just seems that they might look harder into your status if you are muslim but always be honest,,good luck

hello good day to everyone... My husband to be wants to start the paperwork for fiancee visa but we still don't know what are the things that we need to prepare, the do's and don'ts.. I am a Muslim Filipina would it be a problem on the interview? i know some people think that most of the muslim people are bad so i am nervous, Muslim in mindanao didn't really care about birth certificate that most of us are having hard time sometime when some offices ask for our birth certificate, i just got my birth certificate last year it is late registration, would that be a problem too? i mean would it be questionable too? i met my fiance tru internet last august 2009 and he was still married that time he just got divorce last july 2011 and his ex-wife is still living with him because she asked for her to stay till my fiance and his kids leave to US, he is in US military and his ex-wife is a japanese, she didn't file it yet on japanese side about their divorce, but on the American side my fiance already did everything and also at Military side, his status is single, but would it still be a problem when i go for an interview if she didn't do it yet on japanese side? as a muslim i don't have also the medical record and i am nervous about the vaccination because i don't have any record, will the doctor/hospital tell me what vaccines should i get? he sent me packages since 2009 till now can i use that too as a proof our relationship? we have pictures too, we met 3 times already, i still have our E-ticket on my email from last year when we went for a vacation can i print it out and used proof too? we have emails too can i print it out and use as a proof? if we get married here in the Philippines what are the things we need to do? will it make him easy to get me to be with him? i want to have a clear my mind before we start out plans for now i am still so nervous, i am hoping you can help me... thank you so much....

hello VJ members,sorry i know maybe my question is already answered here but i kept reading and reading but it is just making me more confused(sorry) i still don't get the answer to my question, i am just confused about the address, my fiance will file the I-129f next month, but we are not sure for how long it will take to get approved or will it be approve, my question is, he's now currently in Okinawa where he will file the petition, and he will be retiring next year, January to be exact, can he include a letter in the package that state he will be back to US by January and include the address? i am just asking this because some here waits for their NOA2 for months. if he still have maybe 6 months in Okinawa i wont worry and get confused like this...or he can just call after he gets the NOA1?

Im confused also bout this if we wanted to have an unofficial ceremony without any legal contract signatures esp.me, I'm a muslim woman and we are planning to file for k1 visa and we will have our engagement party and planning to have our traditional muslim wedding, just to have the blessings of my family, then once inshaallah we'll be approved, after marrying in US, we will return to Phils to do the big wedding. you'll be alright, you know in muslim traditional wedding there is no signing of papers and etc. i am Muslim too, there is a lot or almost everyone in mindanao has no marriage licence or marriage certificate, couples can only become married in Philippines government if they want to register their marriage, even my parents until now on their papers they are still singles, my mother is still single on the Philippine government so does my father lol! they are always thinking of registering their marriage but never did, till they divorced on Muslim side, maybe a lot of people think once you get married here in the Philippines on the Muslim side you are automatic married in the Philippine government, but nope. but once i get married with a US citizen in the US i am married both US, Philippines government and Muslim side :-) my fiance is a US citizen and a catholic but no big deal... i am willing to get married in catholic or Muslim side... :innocent:

hi VJ members, i am so confused for few days already, if my fiance did the right thing, he is a Greek but US citizen he was born in US, on his birth certificate his name is Greek but on his drivers license and passport and id's he is using his American name, is it ok that he put his Greek name when he sent the K1 petition then he put his American name on the other name using? what are the documents he will be needing to prove that the American name and Greek name is the same person?

This is ridiculous. Instead of going by word of mouth by all your other friends who are stuck on getting a one way ticket to the states, I suggest that you and him do some research. If the process meant as much as it truly means to some of us, you would be sure to dot the I's and cross the T's with extreme scrutiny.

Since the amount was clearly wrong (where did you get the $350 from?), before sending the package right away with the correct check, I would verify once more that EVERYTHING in it complies with the requirements of law. If something is missing or is wrong, it could cost you further delay. Check the guides in this site, they're pretty good and useful. Good luck.

hi... :) as I've said... i got confused of the travel.state and uscis.gov, i found out late that the amounts on travel.state is for visa fee, and the amount on uscis.gov is for the K1 petition, when i found out about it i called my fiance right away, we did a lot of research and everything is in the package, yes you are right i should have checked it again but i didn't i thought that over is good than less, it was too late for us to stop it since military express mail send out the mails/packages on the same day. it was my mistake i insist that he should put the 350usd to make sure, then i read on the lockbox guidelines that they don't accept over payment, i called him and told him to go to their post office but it was already sent out, now the uscis told us to just wait for the package because they will send it back when they see the check. i did all the research since he is an active and so busy with his job. he put everything and followed the step by step guide on this site, our mistake is the check and i accept my mistake too, it is ok it is already done, all we can do now is to correct everything :-)

Consider it a blessing that it will get sent back and give you the chance to make sure they will have everything they need! Same thing happened to me, they changed the filing amount a week before I sent it, so I of course didn't check the website to check the amount. But, they sent it back and we made it much better. Its a very small set back!

thanks guys... :-) i feel better now, we have no choice but to wait for the package, yes you are all right they will return the package to my fiance, and it is ok we were in a hurry to really send it before his surgery, he sent it through military express mail, it is my fault guys, i was confused with the amounts on travel.state. gov and uscis.gov amounts, now i realize what is on travel.state is the amount for visa fee and on the uscis.gov is for the petition fee. now i am praying that he is already well when he get the package... i am just thinking maybe there's a reason why it happened... all i want now is to my fiance to get well soon, he is having his surgery right now....
