The fact that they asked for new documents instead of saying you were denied the visa gives you reason to be very hopeful you will get your visa soon. Just a thought I might be wrong about this but most government agencies have to maintain files to keep them falling into the category of no action... basically if they request docs every year it updates the file showing something was done and not the fact which is nothing was done.... eventually someone might get around to it or a file will sit there with notes and no action . How long after waiting in AP should we start to get concerned that our case might get denied. I'm worried that if were in AP so long than our case is denied, all that wasted time. Also, the linger in AP the more for concern? Your thoughts? I agree with you I think if you have waited 90 days and nothing has happened then start contacting your senator and congressman etc. some will recommend even sooner but it's up to you. Waivers (I-601 and I-212) and Administrative Processes (221g)	New Islamabad AP Tracker	no... not at all... weve been in AP for over a year and ive just recently passed background check to do mortgage loans for my bank I work for and the worst thing ive ever had is a warning ticket for a rear light i didnt know was out on my car so its simply a matter of the embassy/co and what they request for the checks that slow us down. Glad u had a good trip and quality time... wish desperately I could go but if I do either my job or my daughter wont be here when I get back and I cant risk her medical condition nor my job at this time all we can do is hold onto hope and pray that the end to this is soon.... waoh you make my driving record look like a comic script. I got a citation for doing 120+ chased down by a helicopter and nearly dragged to jail for the night. yes that was just one citation. Others include, speeding 72 in a 65 (i dont even konw how to explain that one), U turn at 3 am in front of an elementry school (apparently its still illegal at that time of the night also), rooling stop at a redlight making a right turn (yes thats called a running a red light) and that 2 times!, Speeding 86 in 70, Speeding 84 in 65, Speeding 48 in 25 in traffic in front of a school, One ticket with 8 citations of modifications to Vehicle (thats after he determined its not stolen). Oh yeah and a recent one to add to the list cellphone use while driving. Still missing a few in there but i think i have done my part in supporting our police department... Yesterday she received the call to pick up her passport I just called DOS and they said congratulation visa was issued September 27.I just want to say that you guys had been a great help throughout this process I appreciated everything you guys have helped me in and Allah app sub ka visa MOULA HUSSAIN A.S. ke SUDKE MEIN juld se juld laga ke dey .Thank you. Actually we got a forwarded email by congressmen representative which showed a follow up that the visa for the petition filed had been approved. So i just felt confused why DOS would say that it is still in AP. My petitioner involved Congressmen in our case as we were not updated after interview since 17th July, 2012. The good news was that on 24th September, 2012 we were responded so nicely by our congressman that the visa had been approved and will be with me within a week's time. But it has been past a week and I just tried getting through the DOS which still say that the case is under AP. What should I do now? Wait wait wait? or any other better advice? Contact Congressmen... but the visa usually takes 2 weeks minimum to process I would estimate it to arrive about 3 to 4 weeks IF it is true that its approved. I made sure to give him our names and case number. His office forwarded my letter to the Department of State and I got their reply today. They gave me a history of our case and said our petition was reaffirmed and sent back to Islamabad Embassy and received there on June 28th, 2012. Right now our case is currently pending under Section 221(g) of the INA. I wasn't sure what date our case made it back to the embassy so they gave me some information I didn't know. It made me feel better to write to the President and see what their response would be. So don't be afraid to write to the President you might just get some important information about your case. Two really good resources that have a relationship with Pakistan right now are Obama and Hillary... If you can communicate to either one of there office you will eventually get a responce.. if they plan not to do anything, you will still get a reply but it will be one standardized reply saying how busy the president is and what he is doing for the United states and best interest of other countires. Caroline I think you will get some sort of activity now on your case since its high on the radars, generally when it gets escalated to this point. now is a good time to follow up with a letter explaining the hardship you may be suffering due to the distance and economicall impact it is having on you without the presense of your significant other. On the day of interview I booked a cab 5;50 I was at the shuttle service in 30 mins I purchased a ticket for U.S embassy for 500 rupees. And Sharp 7am shuttle coaster started to drop me within 25 mints and i waited outside of the embassy for 15mins after that I was at the embassy gate. The guard directed all of us to make two lines 1 for immigrant and 1 for non immigrant the guard looked at my.........................The overall experience was not bad and CO was polite and answered all my questions. PLEASE GUIDE ME GUYS WHAT I CAN DO ABOUT IT? I guess you can Join the "New Islamabad AP Tracker" Club for beginners and if you are luckly you will not be one of the veterans of the group. After researching this topic I found out that it is true a fiance can be denied the financial support because there is a chance you will become a public Charge. However if this is the only hold up for the non issuing of visa then I think there is really not much issues other then just providing that your fiance has secured a job. They usualy ask for last 3 months pay stubs so if she can secure the last 3 months of pay stubs and a letter justifiying her position in the company. That shoudl be sufficient to meet the requirements of the immigration. Then you have on other option were liquid cash can be used to justifiy that your fiance has enough funds to support you. which is usually 1.5 or 2.5 times the minimum required funds above the poverty line.	sn530	Male	Pakistan	2012-09-20 09:38:00

Dear Mr. Imran, We understand the frustration that you must be feeling with regard to the applicant(s) case. However, we are still in the process of all other requirements necessary to determine immigrant visa issuance. The processing time is standard, and unfortunately, we cannot do anything to speed it up. We will contact the applicant once we have concluded the processing of the case. Also, we will soon return your passport via courier. I hope this information will be helpful to you. Please do not hesitate to contact us if you required any further inquiry. Immigration Unit, Consular Section, U.S. Embassy, Islamabad, Pakistan Its mean they are working on my case...and if they working on my case can i send them another email that keep my passport untill my visa is ready??? You know after waiting 2 years you might want to consider moving to canada. I would guess perhaps monday but who knows how long before this issue is resolved. What do you guys think they will do with the appointments that have been set for the days they will close? Still have not received a letter from the Embassy as to why our case was denied...212 (a)(5a) . Congressman's office says that letter can take months to receive. Hopefully what will happen is that they will review your file after the refusal the interviewing agent has to make a case why they have denied your visa. If they spent time on it chances are they made a good enough case what might also happen is the reviewing agent might overturn the decision and you will get an approval letter.	sn530	Male	Pakistan	2012-09-16 22:59:00

Then it went down after a few days. Im guessing this is also a way to check cases instead of call DOS all the time. We also saw ours listed as updated and saying AP processing Actually what happened was eabbas checked her case status so many times a day it caused an overload on the servers and crashed the super computers. Till a new system capable of handling the requests generated by status update junkeys like us we will get the application unavailable status. I call the DOS number everyweek to see if there has been any new updates but nothing new. Before they used to say your case is pending, now they are using the dreaded words "administrative processing" which is odd. They had requested my tax returns when I sent to them early last month so now they have everything they need to issue the visa. Waivers (I-601 and I-212) and Administrative Processes (221g)	New Islamabad AP Tracker	US embassy is aware of everything USCIS will send my both file together to US embassy this way they will have my K-1 history. the thing which drives me nuts they could have told us why they needed to send our case back this way we would wait and wouldn't have gotten married.and until now i had been with my wife, I met my Wife in , London, Dubai Bangkok she came to Pak 4 times as well to meet me you can't envisage the amount of Proofs i presented on the day of interview. CO hardly asked me 10 Questions me and my wife we were done. he had no doubts about our relationship i knew that but it's All Luck my dear brother i have seen some dudes didn't have good amount of Proofs got approved on the spot, what i believe its all the consent of Almighty, omnipresent Allah Our wedding was meant to be in Pakistan. but now its with my CR-1 process my lawyer sent my I-130 Petition on July 9 and then after a Month he said USCIS said my papers got mixed up and he needs to send another copy of petition, he resent on August 9th so far no NOA1 i have called him numerous times it shows they have received it August 13th but Still waiting this Stress is really Gradually growing more instead of reducing i will be pretty much exultant as the matter of fact it will be happiest day of my life Just some personal advice fire the lawyer do this yourself you are going to waste your money on the lawyer and he is going to waste your time. This process is ment to be completed by someone who has a high school degree I would hope you have one. Waivers (I-601 and I-212) and Administrative Processes (221g)	New Islamabad AP Tracker	hey folks ever since we have kicked off this Visa Process thing all we have seen Stress no matter how much we have patience and tolerance but this can't get outta our mind, our mind doesn't stop us visiting visajourney seeing distinctive stories of every individuals. here i begin my story in the past i filed for K-1 visa Process everything went smoothly without any Stress got Noa2 in 92 days then my wife accompanied me for interview at time. i got 221G AP and i had to give away Joint-sponsor tax papers where the income wasn't sufficient we had given everything to CO asked for. so after two months of AP US embassy emailed me that they are sending our case back with the freakin recommended of revocation we both got much dejected never expected having so much proofs this will turn out to be totally opposite. my wife lives in NY she got her local senator involved thereafter embassy just replied the info they got from me USCIS i didn't have it on the time of interview. Allah knows what on the earth was that they didn't even give this info to the senator office. folks at Dos said USCIS don't usually reaffirm K-1 cases they sit on them and let them to be expire and then they ask you to re-file . we got totally distracted we had no other choice we eventually decided to get married after US embassy office ratified us they are indeed sending it back. they kept my file at Embassy for about a month and then it came to USCIS though we were already married .after a Week after it reached at USCIS i got an email from USCIS that they approved my case and sending it back to US embassy for visa process i was hell shocked how come my case got approved within a week. my wife called USCIS they said the CO just wanted to confirm the status of your approval nothing was wrong, what the heck man it was really unfair not telling us due to minor issue they gave us so much tears and stressed .now its been two months i haven't got my NOA1 first my retarded Lawyer said my papers got mixed up and lost more than a Month and USCIS asked for another copy and since 9 August we haven't received our NOA1 this is driving me so much crazy now. if i don't hear this week i will fire my lawyer and file by myself got tired of this immigration if my wife wasn't in USA i didn't have to confront all these problems i keep my fingers crossed to Allah who ever is in AP get their Approvals and come outta these distress. Waoh! That really sucks! so you got APPROVED but since you got married you could not use the K1 visa? I guess this way if they put you in AP for proff of ladgitimate relationship you can prove it by the fact you had already been approved for a K1 visa! lol hopefully that might make things go by faster. Seriously I cant say it is really fare for some people that have been a victim of the broken AP process... perhaps its suppose to be broken who knows. So for now the only way to check is to call the DOS in usa. Waivers (I-601 and I-212) and Administrative Processes (221g)	New Islamabad AP Tracker	So sorry for everyone who is going thru AP, my fiance is also a PAKISTANI citizen but staying in abu dhabi at the moment we are still waiting for NOA2 and later on will go thru this process at the abu dhabi embamsy i will also accompany him to his interview , im not a muslim but my fiance is and as i can see a lot of people are being put on AP from islamabad, im just praying and hoping that abu dhabi will not put him on AP. I hope its different story for us. Me choosing him to work in abu dhabi is just for this reason so i can go with him on his interview and so the CO can see me with him i just hope everything will go will for us. I wish everyone good luck and hope they get their visa soon. I hope seeing the Patitioner witht he Beneficiary helps, But I have a feeling its more of a protocal or procedure that they put all people in who may be profiled in a particular way or due to an assessment of the filed case.
