Above is correct, the purpose of the check at the airport is to see if you are allowed to travel to were you are going. In the days i expected to hear something about my wifes case i use to check the status every hour. I think one day i had checked it every half hour and would just refresh the page for online update. You may want to contact the american express and see if they have it. They are the ones who are suppose to call you to tell you to come pick it up. sometimes they screw things up and can not get a hold of someone at the phone number provided and they will send it back to the embassy so call them and also ask. Also check with the embassy I think there is a phone number for the islamabad embassy but it is virtually impossible to talk to anyone there but you can always give it a try.	sn530	Male	Pakistan	2013-03-04 13:19:00
K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Case Filing and Progress Reports	Finally after 48 days NVC #	So I called NVC today again to see if there was any record of my case.... during the hold my mind started to wonder as it always does while being placed on hold with a repetitive recording.... I started to think, maybe I should see how long I can get a NVC operator to hold when they come on the phone....The joy I would get for every minute. I dont know if it would make up for all the time i spend calling them! Needless to say I was on hold only for 4 minutes and I was greated with quite a pleasant voice on the other and I snaped out of my day dream and the conversation ended with the usual. K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Case Filing and Progress Reports	Islamabad Embassy after 1 year of AP they asked for Documents	after one year of administrative process . yesterday i got an email ..they asked me for documents ! here is the original mail    "We are ready continuing processing the case and it is therefore requested to submit the following documents via courier as soon as pos  Filled and signed forms DS230 part 1 and 2 (Sign both forms). Original Updated Medical Report from our panel physician. New Visa Photos ( 2*2 inches, white background, front view and  untouched/unedited ) Current updated contact numbers. Original Passport. ( please disregard if the passport is already submitted in our office )   Note:- YOU MAY PRESENT A COPY OF PASSPORT IF THE MEDICAL NEEDS TO BE DONE.       What does this indicate ? are they really processing ? plz guide me !!     This is a good sign (in a way) basically what happend is the medical is only good for one year. so when it expires the first time... they ask for a second one if they are still working on it to keep the file up to date.   when you respond to this inquiry make sure you submit it with a cover letter, which identifys which case this is pertaining to you case number the name of the beneficiary and applicant current address and also an index of the items you are submitting, Also include a copy of the email.  (Pm me if you need help with this) Reason for this is the embassy gets a lot of cases and some people do not include a CV or anything and the file gets lost or they have to do resarch to find whom the documents that are beign submitted for and who they belong to.  If you submit the information properly, completly with the necessary documents your case will move along quickly. I did a little annalysis of the timelines it shows that people who were approved on the interview from pakistan recieved there visa 10+ days genertally around day 10 to 13. I have been following this forum for quite a while, unfortunately as a silent observer, but finally decided to register myself and share my wife's visa case with you all as well. She had her interview in FEB last year, 2012. was asked for more documents which i provided in April and then in May we received confirmation that the documents had been received and are now with a consular officer. Later in May, we were told her case is in AP and ever since then it has been that way. she is CR1 category but our 2nd anniversary is now around the corner so I am hoping she will then be changed over to IR1 category. just wanted to share this with you all and see what you have to say about her case. Ever since i provided additional documents in april last year, embassy has not asked for any other documents and has just kept her in AP. I have 4 questions now: 1. her police certificates were provided by us to the NVC in October 2011. so it has been more than 1 year since they were issued. Can I expect that they will ask us for new certificates before issuing visa? 2. her medical was done is Jan last year (2012), so is that something that will need to be done again too? 3. we are now expecting our first baby and ideally i would like her to be here in the states for delivery of our first child. do you think advising them of this via email etc will help our case in any way? does pregnancy case expedite in any way? 4. after her interview, she asked the consular officer for her passport so that she can continue to travel to other places with me and by herself as she has lots of family abroad and has travelled alot quite frequently to visit them. consular officer gave her the passport and said you can submit it when we ask for it. now my question is that have any of you been in this situation where you had your passport with you during AP and once AP was over, embassy asked you for your passport so that visa could be issued? or do you folks suggest that they may not ask for it so I just submit her passport to them as they may just be waiting for that? I have contacted my senator and congressman and they keep getting update every month from embassy that it is still in AP. i dont think it is helping much but I have noticed that everytime my congressman or senator make an inquiry on my behalf my case update date changes on the website. now it is showing a recent inquiry that was made, hence the date is showing 1st feb 2013. any suggestions? and answers to my questions would be appreciated! thanks a lot. I continue to pray for all of us, including my wife and every other person stuck in this frustrating process of AP, that it ends soon inshaAllah with a immigrant visa in our hands! regards. All above responce from Ebass are correct, Have you tried to analyze the situation as to why your wife is in AP? most women do not spend more then a few months in AP and are given the visa. It might be the fact they dont have the Passport, Perhaps sending it back will triger the embassy to review your case and possibly request documents and issue VISA. If they are working on your case research the link to check status online . Regardless of what you may be told Administrative Process is an additional background check for local purposes to varifiy validity of content provided to the embassy and additional inter embassy approvals that need to be processed to complete the case file. Many people who do not follow directions or missunderstand the forum and have a complicated case are the ones that slow down the process for others. Yeah I agree with what your saying but at the same time you have to realize a few things about the culture and traditional ways business is done in Pakistan. Lets start with looking at the borders of Pakistan... Afghan citizens aka (alkaida) ride there donkey across the border then apply for a passport posing as Pakistani citizens and represent them selves as Pakistani and have motives not of a Pakistani... alright now lets look at Pakistani ourselves... yes I am one too so before i get flamed for saying this lets look at our country Leader? .... i think i will stop right there and I don’t need to say anymore! Better yet the organizational system is broken, the Honor system of doing ANYTHING in Pakistan is FORGOTTEN and yet we expect other countries to preform based on their country standards in a Broken country?... that’s pretty much why many people leave Pakistan... its not that we don’t love Pakistan its because of the poor work ethics of a few many forget what Pious behavior is.... the one integral purpose Pakistan was made a country has also been forgotten (Islam). I also will not get into the corruption and the misleading and fictitious documentation of political leaders. Seems like every collage dropout has a Masters Degree in that case I should claim to have a double PHD whenever I go to Pakistan. I dissapered from here for a while in the process of bringing my fiance to USA. Yes she's here and I have to say leaving Pakistan with her was even more nerve wrecking then when she went to the embassy for her interview. I don't know about my fiance if she was nervous or not when she walked into the immigration line... funny thing is she beat me to the baggage clame.... it was such a relief to find her there before my family and I got there. Now its on to the next step of.getting married I think next Friday we will go tie the knott.... unless I can convince her its a terrable idea to marry me within a week.... believe me I tried my best to convince her otherwise in the time I got to spend with her in Pakistan. Sn530, the only thing at the interview the CO was weird about was that me and my wife didn't really spend time together after Nikkah as in she left soon after 5 days of our Nikkah. But now my wife is here for almost a month now after the rukhsati, hopefully they will not keep us waiting for long. At least we are together for now. Just start gathering additional proof of having a relationship thing is if they have not asked for it yet they just might ask for continued relation proof. Best proof is pictures and group pictures with family that shows the acceptance and recognization of a relationship among two people. Further these relatives can attest to your factual relationship which is sometimes difficult to prove with various cultural and or traditional practices of families. Hopefully it'll end sooner than later. My fellow Vjers in AP, Please tell me, what is the difference between the Blue refusal sheet and Green refusal sheet? I got a blue one and it mentioned additional administrative processing along with further evidence of marriage completion rituals and new qualified sponsor. The color is not anything standard from what I have noted. As for the refusal sheet you recueves it depends on the interview you experienced what the interviewersaid and requested additional documentation of. Was there any concerns that were raises? Can't find a job and not sure when my wife will join me. I just wish I knew about this forum before our interview, i would have done things a lot differently. Now I am Just trying to stay positive and believe that Allah has a much better plan for us in mind. Again congrats.
