K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & Procedures	Advice Needed Please	We just went through this process, and Recieved our NOA2 in June and interveiw as just a few days ago in October, so tht would mean roughly about 5 to 6 months more wait time given things go smoothly. Could of things you may want to consider are that all cases are required to file an afidavit of support which include 3 years of past income and a current income above the poverty guideline and a current form of income also. And a recent development has been that applicants have been placed on AP beause the Petitioner does not meet the required needs to comply with the affidavit of support. Cosponcers was not permitted to be used in the Fiance application however is permitted in the CR1(married) catagory. common questions that are asked at the K1 interview are. How did you meet your fiance? How long have you known each other? Why are you not getting married here in pakistan it is cheaper and usualy customary to get married at the girls home town? etc Go through the Counsolate review and you will see many questions that have been asked if you are able to answer them without an issue i dont think the interviewing agent will have any reason to refuse visa. It takes between 15 to 18 working days to get a responce... these days they are a bit slower due to the ocassional closing of the embassy. A method to check the status is dependant on how and were the packet 3.5 was submitted. example American Express the location we sent ours has a website to track visa status.. it was updated when the responce was recieved and sent. But simply answer is check either "intend" or don't check either box and write "provide all expenses as necessary to support beneficiary" write this response in either decision you make let the embassy ask you a question if they have an objection to it. Both different?.......and she LEGALLY attained citizenship in Pakistan.....how? Did she say she was born in Pakistan to Pakistani government and was actually born in Afghanistan?Either case having 2 passports is permitted but being born twice with contradictory info is not and not doing something to correct the fact is questionable also. I think the above comments from members you have probably been provided with the legal answer to your question that was asked.  I don't mean to pry into your family business nor do I intend any negative accusation upon your cousin . But my question to would be why would anyone want to stay in a country that there significant other is not an origin of? Why would he want to stay in the USA still even when his fiance does not want to marry him?....additionally have you  spoke to and consulted with your cousin why after this long period of nearly a year they started treating him badly upon his arrival?.....  seems a little fishy to me.... but then again I dont know the full scope of the situation. Majority of the individuals whom go through the k1 process have the ability to back out of a promise at anytime... but waiting for him to arrive and then treating him badly I don't know if that would be common practice or anything a intelegent individual would do.  Also the dawry is given at the time of the wedding when the nikkah nama is signed...its your own cousins foolish mistake to give money to the family in advance.  Furthermore most families in USA tend to make more money then people in Pakistan... and if your cousin was in a position to give money to them he must come from a wealthy family so why is he stressing about reclaiming dowry money?Also is it not that dowry money is for the girl anyways? thats if things don't work out and it seems they are not working out.... your cousin should have considered that an investment expense not just an asset to recover when and if needed. Once again I mean no pun or ill will... speak with your cousin see if its something he has initiated and try your level best to reconcile the differences.. many times issues like these arrise from a miss understanding created by the involvement of the family.Speak to the girl and ask her if this is what she wants and same with your cousin.  Good luck! Cant go to "Pakistan because of the state of terrorism and general sentiments towards the Americans " (I assume your not of Pakistan decent) I also noted other members of the board brought up the financial aspects. I hope you realize having an 11 year relationship does not overlook many facts of life. In fact if you have actually had an 11 year relationship with this individual you would have learned a little bit about the culture and the people of Pakistan. Perhaps you need to watch a TV series aired by BBC called “George Ka Pakistan” It’s about a British guy whom was given a challenge to live in Pakistan and ultimately ended up immigrating to Pakistan. Regardless of what the media portrays Pakistan is not in a “state of Terrorism” if you would like to see “state of terrorism” take a walk through the ghettos of USA and you will fear for your life, even in the ghettos of Pakistan you will not have that same fear. Anyways my intent of replying to your post is not to give you a difficult time but given the facts I hope you will consider taking a trip to Pakistan if you do really care for this individual and plan on a future together. Another thing you might want to keep in mind that you will be required to show proof of financial ability to support an additional person. Your income will have to be over 21k a year to be able to do so. If you are making more than this there is a good possibility you should be able to finance a trip to Pakistan. Or you will have to do it again. Once you submit the form a specialized barcode is generated to associate the information that was entered to the form that is being submitted. Later the embassy uses the barcode to recall the information that was entered. Adeel once again the answer is still no! you have to meet her yaar! the next thing is that she herself has to prove that she makes enough money to support you when you arrive to USA meaning her income has to be more then 18,000 dollars a year. but they really expect to see around 25,000 dollars a year which is above the poverty line. Now that you have gotten past the easy part the difficult part is that they will do the investigation on what you have said to be it to be true! It might be advisable that you familiarize your self with the term "Administrative Process" its something that majority of the Pakistani Men are placed in if they are the Beneficiary. Hi there, Im currently in a limbo between USCIS and NVC, USCIS computer monkeys reading their scripts saying they have accepted my application and sent it to NVC & NVC folks stating they have yet to receive the application.  Its been more than 8 week now and I have contacted my elected officials, anyways .. to my question...   I see my approval will be expiring in mid August and after doing some calculations and checking the average time the Islamabad embassy is scheduling interviews (obviously depending on my file actually being found), it looks as though the I129F will pass its expiration date prior to my fiance getting her interview.  I wanted to see if this is an issue I need to be aware of? Im certainly going to bring this to my elected official so they bring this up when the file is passed to the embassy, but is there something I should do.  The last thing I wanna do is try to resolve another issue though USCIS "customer support".   Has anyone experienced this before?     Hey, follow my time line you should expect things to happen pretty much on the same pace.  Have your fiance prepare the packet 3.5 it will go very quick after NOA2 she should be here within 3 to 4 months now.	sn530	Male	Pakistan	2013-07-05 13:10:00

I think someone made a mistake and did not collect the money from her. so i guess you are one of the few lucky ones. If she has her passport with the Visa in it already. Does this mean that his file hasn't been put through AP yet or does it mean it's still going through AP and as soon as it's done it'll go to a case officer? IM SO CONFUSED. Anyone know what this can possibly be? NO telling what it is, I have heard a few people get email or mail about renewing the medical exam because it was given over a year ago, and from the looks of your time line it could be that. Perhaps just another reminder that they still have your case and its under review and its been a year. Apparently the hospital or the place she was born is no longer a Birthing center so they dont have records at that location and the other place she was referred to has no idea where the records would be. Her school apparently asked for the birth certificate when she started and then they managed to loose it somehow and now no one has a copy accept the registery of some sort. My fiance lost her Birth Certificate the one the hospital gave her parents upon her birth. She says she has a form from NADRA "B-Form" I dont know exactly the details of what it is and if its considered a birth certificate. From my search online it appears its a valid form for Birth Certificate. SO my question is, we are submitting her Packet 3.5 will this B-Form be sufficient in place of her Birth Certificate? and second question should we send the original? I personaly dont want her sending in any original document that can not be replaced if lost, this happens to be one of them she got it over 12 years ago. Wait hold on...*on hold for 2 min*...yes sir, the case is on the administrative processing" Hey if you get bored you can call me I can put you on hold and tell you the same thing if your nice i might put on some good music to listen to.... sad thing is that the people that you call have no access to your case and neither do they have access to the detailed case notes. The only thing they really have access to is when there is any activity on the case and are general actions that are indicated. Besides giving you the status of your case they have no information to provide and neither do they have access to view what is really going on. for all you know your file could be in the process of being used as a cup coaster or paper weight. Waivers (I-601 and I-212) and Administrative Processes (221g)	passport expiring	Thanks dear friend but after renewed i send back or wait until the ask me..     Send it back, it my trigger someone to review your file and perhaps you will get your visa.  The type of visa you are getting you should have renewed your passport before because the visa will outlast the valid date of your passport so it creates a discrepency. Perhaps this is the reason your visa was not being issued before, maybe they were waiting for it to expire so they can have you get another one and then issue the visa.   Make sure you get the passport back asap.
