I have been patiently waiting for an email or text update, as I have signed up for both and have received neither. But today, I got a letter in the mail. Actually, my husband was playing around, as we had a lot of mail to collect, and he said "uh oh,..immigration letter", and was referrring to a large envelope, and I was like "nah ah" as i knew it the letter woudn't be that big. But after going through all the mail,..there was a letter from USCIS right at the bottom of the pile. LOL Hey Dannyh86, we both have interview on the same day....lol... I really just wanted to make sure that my fingerprints were all good, as it's a 2.5 hour trip for us to get prints done. He told me prints were good, and my file was already at San B. We were allowed to do walk-ins as well, but as we live 2hrs 20 mins from the office for my area (which was still the closest anyways), the date allocated was more convenient, as hubby took a leave pass to go with me. US Citizenship General Discussion	N 400 September 2010 applications	Anybody know if oath ceremony in San Diego does Name change as well or is it a different location. I think San Diego does them once a month. Look at this link I found when googling. he is an immigration attorney who has the dates of all ceremonies in san diego through to December 2011. Maybe you could make a general call to him, to ask a non specific question such as yours, and maybe they can point you in the right direction in relation to your question. It was dated October 13th, and is an Appointment letter for Biometrics.... This means I am up to biometrics stage less than a month after sending my N400 app in. US Citizenship General Discussion	N 400 September 2010 applications	Ok, so can I ask a question. I received my NOA today, with a notice date of 10/07/10. On it it says: The above application has been received by our office and is in process, but has been noted with one or more of the following exception(s): Missing evidence(s)- your application was missing eveidence(s) that you will need to provide at time of your naturalization interview. you will be notified under seperate notice of the necessary evidence(s) that you will be required to bring to your interview. Do not submit any evidence(s) by mail. Is this simply the fingerprints, that I have been reading about on other posts? As I have sent in every other piece of required evidence as stated in the instructions. its not like I am a novice to this,I went through the whole K1, AP, AOS, Removal of conditions all whilst overseas (military), and also successfully submitted I-130's for my two daughters, all without an RFE	jodee	Female	Australia	2010-10-13 17:48:00

When i clicked on reply and tried to add myself to the list, it took me nearly 20 minutes to get it to update properly,.. Manohara you came in a updated and finished your addition, before I had finished working it all out.. Thats why it seems like I deleted something, when i really didn't. we were just on at the same time, and you were quicker than I at getting it done........... US Citizenship General Discussion	N-400 November 2010 Filers	Well I certainly didn't make that notice up, that is what I got, and copied and pasted it verbatim. Seems strange to me that I could not petition for my stepson because he was barely over 21, and my stepdaughter could not become a US citizen with my wife because she was barely over 18. So what it is with your date of birth, is 18 considered to be an adult or is it 21? And why is the date of birth so important when just a few days different affects your entire family life? Family life is entirely secondary to the USCIS. We were advised to wait until my wife became a US citizen before petitioning for her son due to the long delays in processing. Today the USCIS processing time site is saying it takes 5 months for a LPR to petition for an unmarried child over 21, but is taking 43 months for a US citizen for the same exact petition. Six years ago is was something like taking ten years for a LPR to petition to their unmarried child over 21, was about a year if a US citizen. How does one deal with a government agency like this? Really need a good crystal ball. But keeping a family together is certainly not a priority with them. And what is this bit about being photographed at biometrics? Is this true with all field offices or just one? Why don't all field offices have the same day oath, especially if you live hundreds of miles away. One thing you never want to do is to argue with them, just see what happens and be super nice or they will really hang you. Yes, I did ask very nicely about why my daughter could not receive her citizenship with her mom, if showed them the long delays in our AOS processing that caused her to be over 18. Doesn't make any difference to them, and they still can't get 18 or 21 years of age straight. Why is the date of birth so important to them, why isn't keeping a family together important to them? I don't have the answers to these questions, just wait and see what happens. At least we learned our daughter will be covered under our health insurance policy until she is 26 years of age. The kind of jobs available today, her health insurance would cost more than she can make. Shouldn't the USCIS also make that age 26? We are but one person, but have 1,525 different government agencies to deal with, all with their own set of rules. Don't even bother with your congressman, too busy running for re-election. Nick, the photographing started on 25th october. They actually capture your fingerprints, take your pics, and also capture your signature. it is all to do with the new Naturalization certificates that are going to be issued. As I explained in one of my other posts in September filers...If you have a code 3, on the top right of your Biometrics appt letter, that means they will take all 3. link to new Naturalization certificate info is ...HERE It explains about the new digitised pic on the certificate, rhather than the stuck on one. When I had my pic taken at Bio, the lady asked me if the pic was ok, or would I like it taken again. I actually had my Interview yesterday, and the pics I sent in were in th file, and will stay there, the new digitised pic is being used on my certificate... I became aware of that option, when I was already half way through my i-751, and saw no point persuing it, becasue at that stage we had less than a year left in theatre overseas, and decided not to persue it. then luck would have it, that we got extended, and I had already had my 10yr green card by then. US Citizenship General Discussion	Expidited citizenship for military spouses?	I'm Australian. I moved to the states in dec 03, married in feb 04, and moved to Germany on my hubbys military orders in March 04. All I did was made sure I had a re-entry permit/advance parole document from the USCIS before i left,....I managed to lodge AOS, and AP before we left, along with EAD. The EAD , and AP was approved before we even went overseas. I had to fly back to the states in July 04 for my AOS interview at CSC. Back then they were still doing interviews. my AOS was approved, and I went back to germany and had my GC sent to me. I have also done the lifting of conditions from Germany. So I am done now til we get back stateside. I did though, on every occasion i travelled back to the US, had a copy of my hubbys orders with me on them, my mil ID card, and once AOS was approved, my greencard. I have NEVER had a problem, I simply showed all those docs every time I reenetered the states. US Citizenship General Discussion	N-400 Expedited Naturalization 319b Information	umm,..no technically,..when your a military dependant,...you are considered to be still on US soil even if you are living on a MIlitary base in Germany! If he is actually on leave at that time, he should just be able to travel with his MIL I.D and a copy of his leave orders, otherwise, I'd say the Birth cert would be the way to go. I know you have had a couple of bad experiences with border patrol, but have you considered contacting them, and getting an answer. And if they say its ok, make sure you get their name!! Just a thought,.. Jodee.. Only reason I suggested this was becasue whenever we travel, like we did a while back to the states and stuff, all my hubby had was his leave oreders and MIL I.D Card.... Canada	Oh Christmas Tree	trail,..that tree is Gorgeousssssssssssssssssssssssssssssss!!, with capital G!! I know it was hard to see on my tree, but I love the gold at Christmas too, and every ornnament, has some element of gold on it, or is primarily gold, the one exception, is the four hand made baubles with our names on them, that were made in Poland...My favourite are the lil gold angels , that are gold frame, and made with translucent Mother of pearl,...so the lights glow through them, and ....the clear ones made here in Germany,.. lets see if i can get the pic up right this time,.. oh and my tree, actually doesnt have any blank spots with no lights like it looks like in my previous pic,..i think it was just the way the branches were that day,..after i saw the pic, I did some readjusting,...it's funny the things you dont notice until you take a pic,.. Canada	Kitty Woes	Oh Laura,...I know how you feel about the connection,....The kitty we got in June had been abadoned in a military house, and had been in a cage at the vets clinic onm base here since February. he had been locked up and left behind in the house, and was found by the cleaners. I had looked at a few shelters, and petsmarts, and places like that,..but none of the kittys "felt' right to me. Now, MR. Smokey Bones, on the other hand,...was so playful,..and meowed, and came to the front of the cage so quick looking for some love. I looked at his face, and was immediately hit with a feeling. It was kinda funny,..I took him outta the cage, and went to put him on the ground so I could pat him, and play a lil,..and all he wanted was cuddles. The clinic gives you a trial period of a week,...to see if he adjusts and stuff,..oh and let me tell you,..he adjusted fine,..he loves the fact he has a big house, and not a cage to explore, and it always at your feet at the table,..or sitting next to you on the couch, or laying perched up in his cat tree watching everyone. he has to be where he can see everybody. At night,..he sleeps at the top of the stairs, at the intersection basically of all three rooms,..so he can see if anyone moves etc. He sits at his bowl, and meows once or twice when he wants food, and after you put food in the bowl,..he actually nuzzles you befopre eatting,..He is THE sweetest thing....and he was a year old,..not a kitten, but not fully mature either I guess. oh I loves my Mr. smokey Bones!!	jodee	Female	Australia	2008-08-08 11:12:00

Unaccompanied Minor Fee It was $50 non stop each way, and $100 for a connecting flight each way. But that changed in Oct 2007, according to some press releases. But then again, I haven't had the problems you have descibed with Delta either. My kids last major trip on their own was from Germany, to Australia, via Singapore. They were 14.5 at the time. But they were well looked after. And they also had each other. I had also flown through Singapore with them, on the way to Germany, when they first came to live with me, so they knew where things were. they are truly seasoned travellers. Maybe the fee is now in place, to ensure that your daughter gets thecare/treatment she deserves, whilst travelling solo. I would also make sure she is not seated next to an Adult male on the flight. Qantas always ensures that, with young Children. Canada	New Year's Eve 2008/2009	We are headed to Los Angeles....already got a hotel room lined up... Well actually, it's me, my hubby and his mom. He brought his mom and I grandstand tickets near the start of the parade for the New Years Day, Tournament of Roses "Rose Parade".(xmas Presents) And becasue it starts at 8am,..and you have to be there an hour before it starts, we decided to stay overnight,..as we live 2.5 hours away from L.A. Hubby is not going to the parade,.., he's driving us down there, having dinner with us, and we will celebrate the new year quietly sipping on a few coldies..and he's gunna chill in the hotel room while the parade is on. He didn't wanna do anything big,..just wanted to spend the evening with us,..as the last 2 NYE's he has been in Iraq,..so this will be a nice quiet, comfortable change for him,..	jodee	Female	Australia	2008-12-30 20:08:00
