   THIS IS A COPY AND PASTE UPDATE, for those that wanted this information. :)

 

     I called and the rep didn't understand her name after I explained

  all the  c r a p  from day one she checked then said she would
  check with a supervisor.  Came back no one has looked at my
  case it's just sitting there, she said put in another request will
  take up to 30 days.  I asked what supervisor did you talk to, she
  said Silvia I said please let me talk to her and she didn't hesitate.    
  So I asked the supervisor after filling her in to please not make
  me wait 30 days.   She said she would call me back but nothing yet.  
  I have no idea what will happen but God was on my side at least
  I know this supervisor might help me out.  But I don't think in
  time for an earlier interview.   Which is ok.

Sorry to hear this! What a mind game NVC is. How can one person tell say you have a CC and then the next say you don't?

 

When I spoke to the normal rep they said they would request a supervisor review that would take up to 60 days. (that's when I asked to speak to a supervisor). They told me one wasn't available and that is when I lost my sh*t and started crying because I was so upset as I had already waited 67 days. The rep put me on hold and magically a supervisor became available.

 

Then I spoke to supervisor Octavio who initiated the supervisor review himself on a Friday (he had to request my file from another building) and I called back on the Tuesday and he reviewed and completed my case over the phone.  At first he told me to wait for an email, but I complained that the case complete emails are delayed by a week, so he agreed to let me call back and ask for him on Tuesday.

So, if you do call again try to find out if your case has been given to a supervisor yet and which one so you can follow up with them directly. When I called Octavio back, he had not yet done it but was able to put me on hold and do it in less than 5 minutes.  Might depend who you get, I think I was very lucky to get Octavio.

  Thank you Amanda for all the information it's invaluable.   I'll call tomorrow I didn't have the heart to call today.   I did ask for a supervisor but she said the paper work with was with a supervisor when I asked who it was she said she didn't know, I called again another rep said the exact same thing.  But I'll try again see what happens then let you know. :) thank you for your good wishes I truly appreciate them. :) (L)

Hmmm. Well its been 60 days since the last thing you did (DS-260). I would say you will have case complete this week. Hang on. Especially since its in Supervisor Review. Don't cry. It will all be fine.

That sucks.

 

I think some people have had luck calling and getting a supervisor on the phone. Amanda was eventually able to resolve her case after speaking to supervisor Octavio who completed her case within a week.

 

I hope it doesn't take any longer than that for you!

  TY  Stackeria, I asked for a supervisor they said they can't ask for one because it's in the hands of a supervisor I called three times.  But I'll see if I call again tonight or tomorrow morning. Thank you. :) (L)

 

 

Don't get sad. A week before we've received the letter saying our case was complete, my husband had called the NVC and they replied that our case was being reviewed and that we should give them 60!!! days. After one week, we've got the email with the magic words on it =).

  Thank you it gives me a lot of hope.  I just wish they hadn't said CC when it wasn't.  :) ty (L)

I am so sorry to hear that. You must be confused and devestated.. I can feel your pain. (even though we have not met in person)

Since it is under Supervisor Review, I believe that means it just a matter of time.

I think you have done everything you had to do now so just be patient. We are with you (F)

My case complete email arrived at 1:36 am today. That was a nice thing to wake up to! It is dated today, and lists my priority date last November when Uscis got my first package. AOS fees still not showing n/a, maybe that's not as reliable as it used to be?

 

    I'm so happy for you, nothing like seeing it in an e-mail or hard copy to make sure in your heart it's true. :) (F)

   Spoke to Reese and what a B she is said I DO NOT HAVE A CASE COMPLETE  that it's under Supervisor Review to get it complete and can take up to 30 days to get this done.  But she didn't think it would take that long. 

 

    I called again right away and spoke to Torry nicer but of no help and said the same your case is not Case Complete and it's in the hands of a Supervisor asked if I could talk to them the obvious NO we are not in the same department and they don't take calls.

 

    This is why I hesitated to post I had CC, I just can't believe thing they say. :(   :cry:

Is there anything special about the Egyptian Embassy?   :huh2:   I know you mentioned about it on the NVC thread a couple of times, but recent filers are getting interview at the Egyptian Embassy within 2 months.   :thumbs:   It looks "normal" to me.   :content:  Don't worry and get some sleep (and have a nice dream about your hubby passing his interview).   :D

   Yes I have read about the interviews taking a month or two and that is a miracle in itself I'm grateful for that. 

 

   What is special about the Egyptian Embassy and a couple others is they put more people mostly males in AP consistently.  If you read some of the interview questions they are shocking at least to me.   They will insult the USC spouse to the beneficiary, it's a long story.  When I've told it a lot of people agree with the Embassy so I'll leave it at that.

I had my interview this morning, and my visa was approved there!! Yay! Now on CEAC the status says administrative processing, and I'm wondering if it's normal to have that status before the visa issuance. I got a little worried when I saw this status.
Anyway I hope to get my passport back very soon.

Since I got a CC on Sept 16th, you should receive your CC letter the following day.   ;)

 

Our NVC processing timelines ended up being near identical!   :yes:

 

  Hey my friend, I received a letter today my tenth hahahaha another your address has been updated.  Boy I was so excited but figured it might be the address change letter which I received two of last week. :D   Nothing on my Paid changing to N/A either but wont worry about that.   Indeed pretty much identical.  :)

 

 

  When you checked the posts for interviews dates, approvals etc were they just for Canada?   I have this horrible fear of the Egyptian Embassy I just can't shake.  Thank you.

I haven't seen this question really addressed before so I am sorry in advance if it has recently. Basically I was looking at flights to the States from Europe at the end of October and November and for a one way they are high $1700-$2500 which is insane!!!! I looked at round trips and they are considerably less at $400-700. If we were to book a round trip instead of a one way is that fine for POE? Or are they going to give a hard time about it?

 

    Someone will be by to answer you but I don't think it matters they know well I think most will have round trip due to the price.  Please someone correct me if I'm wrong. :)

MoBar is on a different type of visa and was probably subject to a slightly different process. I think it's smart to keep calling NVC and make sure they actually mark your case complete. I think it was Amanda's case that sat around for a while after she was supposed to have received CC. We don't need more of that! Keep bugging them until your AOS fee goes N/A!

 

The CC email goes out exactly one week after CC.

 

Hopefully we all get November interviews assigned by Friday! :)

OH yes I remember MoBar has another kind of Visa and I'm staying up tonight no matter what so I can call really early.:) Ty doll. (L)

 

Dont worry. you really dont need to track and check if it reached the embassy. As long as you have ur interview date. the rest is their head ache! haha (or it will be ours till its over ;) ) I just called to check why i dont have an interview letter, thats when the rep told me, your papers have been sent to embassy today at 4pm, so you can expect the email in a day or two, and I got it next morning :)

Dont worry, you really need to track the packet reaching the embassy :)

I know mine has been shipped on 8th Sept, NVC rep told me that, and It had been received and signed in on 12th Sept :)

Now counting days for interview, and finally get done with everything!!!

  Hello Dwheels76 and everyone, I was told when I called NVC  CASE COMPLETE :  09-17-2014  everyone was zipping by me so I decided to call and ask why. Amanda spoke to a Supervisor then told me that my case should have been complete a few days ago.  She also stated that my husband has to take something apparently I didn't do correctly on our AOS (I know the AOS was perfect friend on VJ who is a genius did it for me hahahaa )  to the Embassy and to wait for the CC e-mail but haven't received it yet.  MoBar said that takes about a week.  So I was hesitant to say I have CC until now, your Majesty Dwheels  I leave it up to you to add me or not :D.    Thank you.

Oh Soloenta, I would like to come to the other thread, but I have terrible net connection and a phone whose battery goes down anytime. It is sometimes difficult to keep up with this thread and I struggle to keep up because I would like to know about the progress of NVC. Wish you had posted your case progress here too and about how 3 reps lied to you here so others would know what to expect with NVC.

  First lie, I called NVC Aug 10 and Don told me the AOS was accepted and I needed to do nothing there, then I called Sept 24 th and Vanessa told me CC that was on a Friday I think but I had a funny feeling.  I called that following Monday and Torry told me no my case hadn't even been looked at so she put in a supervisor request.  I hung up so pissed off I called again wasn't going to wait another 30 days so Lisa talked to Sylvia, Lisa told me 30 days I said please let me talk to the supervisor so she said she was taking my case and I should get CC soon what ever soon means.   So I have left her four messages to call me and NOTHING.   Here I sit while people who waited half the time I have zipping by me and complaining about how long it's taking to get an interview. :D   This should be at the new Rant thread which may I remind you, you haven't visited even once. :P ;)    :rofl:  :rofl:  (L)

Silverjetplane's idea is a GREAT one. I REALLY wish this thread were only questions, answers and progress. It would be nice if we didn't have to sift through so much dirt to get to the gold. I agree that this forum is great for moral support because no one understands this process except those going through it, but this is the first day I've had time to look at the NVC thread all month and there's no way in hell I'm going to be able to skim 100+ pages today. I've kind of given up on this thread being a resource for me and only plan to return if I'm desperate for some sort of answer to a problem. It's just too much and I simply do not have enough time in the day to devote to it. It sucks though, because now I feel out of the loop. 

 

Here's an example of why it's a bit frustrating: I sent the e-mail about my husband's embassy change back to Bogotá on August 5. The last time we did this, they sent an e-mail after about three weeks saying that it had been read and they were going to review our request. We haven't gotten that e-mail yet this time around, and it's been more than a month. It would be great if I could quickly read through a much shorter thread and look for information about how long they're taking at this point to respond to e-mails, and then ask the question if it hasn't been addressed. I don't want to contribute to the epidemic of repeated questions. The way things are now, I'll probably just call for the 11 millionth time. Which is not that big of a deal, although I have a feeling they'll just feed me some line instead of an actual answer. I feel really bad for people who really need help whose problems/questions get buried under meaningless posts. And I do like reading the case updates that do get posted--they are often very helpful and at times even reassuring. But the way things are now, it's just impossible to keep up unless you have a desk job that lets you sit on the internet all day or are willing to devote an hour or more every night to reading just this thread. 

 

Long story short, VJ has my very enthusiastic vote for a separate venting thread. Saylin, do you have the power to make one? It would be more work in terms of moderation, but maybe there's another mod that would be willing to keep an eye on it if you can't or don't want to. I'll keep updating my spreadsheet form when things happen of course, but I can't see myself coming here much anymore. Another idea: Put in the first post of next month's thread that it's for questions, answers and progress ONLY (big, bold, underlined, etc.) and see if that does anything.

Fun story! NOT! On August 1st I received a checklist via email. I followed the instructions and posted my response the same day. Yesterday (more than a month later!) I got the hard-copy in the mail with the same date of the emailed one. To my surprise they didn't match! It was exactly the same checklist but the email requested renewed forms from me, the Petitioner, but the hard copy requested renewed forms from the only joint sponsor. I called 12 times before I could even get on hold, but I finally got through to a supervisor. She was very friendly, apologized profusely BUT....guess what? Yep you got it, there's not a whole lot NVC can/will do. She admitted it was their mistake and told me to reply to the "real" checklist, being the hard-copy, and include an explanation letter. I explained that I had already replied to the emailed checklist and all my documents are scanned as of August 13th, and that I expect an answer within 60 days of that date. She told me there's no promises, even though it is NVC at fault, and that this mess up could still set us back. I spent the entire day in tears,  :cry: writing letters, emailing to our joint sponsor in the US, and trying to organize the "real" checklist response. I really don't mind having to fill out more papers but I AM BEYOND WORDS for my disgust and true contempt of this entire process. We have been in this nightmare for over a year, and NVC's mistake could cost us a lot more time. I have already prepped the packet and my us joint sponsor will mail it out today-ish. I just needed somewhere to vent. I cannot understand why all of this has to be so hard. I will never understand why our government slaps an honest hand, encourages illegal immigrants, takes more time and money than they need, and almost forces one to go the illegitimate route. UGH!  :wow:

 

   Oh sweet heart I'm so sorry this happened and they should make it up to you when it's their fault.  I can't see why they can't fix it.

 

I'll be praying by some miracle they fix the problem soon.  You vent all you want that's what we're here for.
