IR-1 / CR-1 Spouse Visa Case Filing and Progress Reports	NVC Filers - September 2014	Hope it's a normal one and not expedite. Remember last month they did really good (about 2 months after cc) to schedule egypt interview. I really really hope the embassy is better now And we dont have to wait 6months for interview after CC. I will check out the interview date thread later and see if anyone from egypt has gotten interview dates. Keep us posted if that person replies and says if it was/ was not an expedite.      Oh I'll let you know, no worries there.   It's important we know what to expect for many reasons but remember the person your talking about had put in an expedite, she said nothing about a denial or acceptance.   So I don't hold much hope in that one sad to day.        We need to pray hard that they are catching up finally and it would be about time.     Us dancing hahahaaaa	Soloenta	Female	Egypt	2014-09-06 00:14:00

Wow, is this a breath of fresh air!    I don't want to say anything bad about the other thread (other than when people get nasty or sarcastic) because it has been an invaluable support to me in this process that even my husband doesn't get (no matter how may times I explain the process!). I think though that the thread gets so long that it ceases to be helpful. A lot of times I would sit down to catch up on 10-12 pages(!!!) when I don't have the time or ability to check in during the day. And would read questions that I would want to answer, but then wouldn't want to repeat an answer, so I would want to read all the way to the end first, but then forget the questions I would want to answer/comments I would want to respond to! It is just soooo much! Especially after the first few days. Imagine coming in fresh from your I-130 on the 25th of the month and you have to read 250 pages to get caught up and not repeat a question or something. It's crazy!   So it's nice to come and share with friends in a little smaller space... Although now I'll have 2 threads to follow! But I'll be fun. And you gotta laugh at yourself and with others or we'll all really lose it! Thanks Soloenta for starting this bad boy! You are an absolute PEACH!   Also, PS: I have gotten 3 IV invoice emails, 2 after I paid it although it still says "in process"          PPS: I think there is way too much action with approvals/fees for something not to be changing at NVC. This new process has to be shaking things      up a bit!          PPPS: And NordicTim! Just a bit annoyed that we had to pay 1/3 of school tuition so far because the mighty NVC didn't let us go in time to start school in the US.     Really like the Cheers bit. I was watching its reruns this summer on Amazon Prime until they started charging for it again. Sorry to hear that sometimes I think they do things on purpose, as paranoid as that may sound. IR-1 / CR-1 Spouse Visa Case Filing and Progress Reports	The NVC Moral Support/Ranting Thread	Following this thread now, I'm fairly new to VJ, opened an account about two weeks ago and immediately followed interview & NVC filers thread, I thought it was great! until I saw how rude some people could be on there, kind of reminded me of my job because some of my co-workers who have been there for a while don't want to help the newbies and everything seems like a silly question to them, people with seniority seemed annoyed for every little thing people posted, dang after all we're all trying to reach the same goal but oh well. I'm looking forward to seeing more CCs and interview dates! Yayyyy!! looks like NVC is on July 21st cases or around there, my email said my packet was scanned on 22 of July but a Rep for NVC said 23... either way I'm so scared to get a checklist!! I hope our lawyer didn't screw up, my husband and I are dealing with so much stress through it all... soooo frustrated!! Good luck everybody!!! ??      Welcome so happy you found us feel right at home we are here for you to hold you up when you can't stand on your own and to pray for each other when needed which let's be honest it's all the time hahhahaa.   We know your pain we are all right there with you and yes some don't like answering questions.  Saylin's Wiki is great she is an amazing human being I love and respect her totally and she is still there and has been answering the same questions over and over again and she is the only one that has the right to get tired of them.  But I found even reading her brilliant Wiki I was so nervous and scared I had to still ask what seemed like obvious questions.   So if we can help you we will. Now I'm useless when it comes to the AOS but there are brilliant people here that can help you out if you need it.   I for one will be praying that no one here get's a checklist and NVC picks up even more to get us all together again with our loved ones.  Let's not forget each other in our nightly prayers. I got an email today that the consulate denied my request for expedite not exactly what I was hoping... now I just have to deal with my medical problem all alone... great      Tons of progress they were at a total stand still and they are starting to move along now.  So God willing we will all be getting closer day by day to CC then interview. IR-1 / CR-1 Spouse Visa Case Filing and Progress Reports	October 2014 Interviews	Yeah the guy who interviewed me brought up our short courtship, but not as a question, just making reference to it.  I took it as a question and said that when it's love it's right and you can't put a timestamp on that.  He jokingly jumped back and put his hands in the air and "There's no one judging you here" and let out a laugh, I laughed too then he moved on.  Does it really matter how long people court?  He didn't seem to think so.     Good luck on getting your CC!!!! Why haven't you been to the states since then? IR-1 / CR-1 Spouse Visa Case Filing and Progress Reports	October 2014 Interviews	My daddy (a Californian) saw my mommy who was at widower with two small boys at church in South Carolina. he said that's my wife Meet her February married her in April. She died 6 months before their 40th wedding anniversary and he died 3 years after that.   By immigration standards that would have been married on first visit and short courtship. A no no. A woman who had been married before (OMG imagine) with two kids. He just 21 she 24 (older woman....go momma)   Okay I am wayyyyyy bored have done NOTHING at work all day buu look at this thread checking my email for updates of this thread or anywhere on earth.   Did I say I am bored!!      Thank you, your Dwheelsness for sharing such a beautiful story just loved it.   I think immigration needs to check if someone is a terrorist or not it's none of their business how long  it took to get married or age. I'm pretty sure they felt sorry for me because I have these massive (and painful) braces on my teeth    There was a girl before me who was told to get more evidence or something cause "you hardly know this boy". I didn't listen to the whole conversation, so I don't know what their story was. It went pretty well, although they had trouble getting my fingerprints. They told me they'd call when I can pick up my passport. Hopefully it'll be by Friday, otherwise I won't make it to my flights.   They couldn't obviously guarantee that, but said that it's likely I'll be able to get it in time. CEAC shows AP.   Here are the questions they asked me, in case anyone is interested I'll post an embassy review once I've gotten my passport back.   -why are you moving to the U.S? -how long have you been married? -where did you meet? Which university? -do you have kids? How many? Are they already citizens? -where are you moving? -when are you moving?   edit. I might also add that it was a very pleasant chat, they were all very friendly at the consulate                       WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO HOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO CONGRATULATIONS SO VERY HAPPY FOR YOU.  Oh so very happy for you such a long wait and finally  free from this just POE which God willing will be a snap then home free.       I think most Embassies aren't as mean and nasty like those from Arab and a few other places and I'm happy and relieved they where nice to you. It breaks my heart to have to tell them it might take days, weeks or many months. I can't imagine how parents who are separated from their kids by an AP must feel.      I'm so sorry to hear this and I can't even imagine how being separated from ones children must feel like.   Can you call the CO since you delivered the paper he asked you for?  Will continue to pray all this works out until you have your Visa's. According to the CO, there is no need for a follow-up interview. Once I submit the document, the case will be revisited for the final decision. If approved... in a day or a thousand, I will be contacted to bring the passports. The document I have received already via email and it is digitally signed, so there is no such thing as an original. I just turned it in at the embassy a few minutes ago.   Oh... and thanks for the great complement dear... IR-1 / CR-1 Spouse Visa Case Filing and Progress Reports	October 2014 Interviews	Everything you submitted or was submitted on your behalf to USCIS, NVC and embassy... and then some. Not to mention the online database systems the CO can access on his/her multi-screens. The DS-260 form in particular is brought up on screen, not printed out.     Hope you don't mean they can check out our posts here or we are screwed!       I truly love USCIS and NVC and mostly the Embassy in Cairo Egypt and everyone that works inside and a mile around it they are great and wonderful people who I would love to know in real life.    I mean that.        Edited by Soloenta, 25 September 2014 - 05:22 AM. IR-1 / CR-1 Spouse Visa Case Filing and Progress Reports	October 2014 Interviews	Case number stays the same and used the same at CEAC. As far as the embassy and the printed case number on the IV foil, it will have two additional digits at the end. For most it would be "01". For us it was "01" to "06", unique to each family member on the same NVC/DOS case. Those added digits appeared once our status turned to READY at CEAC. Don't spoil it by jumping the gun. Hopefully, I'll be performing it myself 12 hours from now.   PS. I'm talking about the ELIS thing.             MoBar, just curious once your sent to the Embassy do you get a new Case number or do you keep it until your done? IR-1 / CR-1 Spouse Visa Case Filing and Progress Reports	October 2014 Interviews	THIS IS A COPY AND PASTE UPDATE, for those that wanted this information.        I called and the rep didn't understand her name after I explained   all the  c r a p  from day one she checked then said she would   check with a supervisor.  Came back no one has looked at my   case it's just sitting there, she said put in another request will   take up to 30 days.  I asked what supervisor did you talk to, she   said Silvia I said please let me talk to her and she didn't hesitate.       So I asked the supervisor after filling her in to please not make   me wait 30 days.   She said she would call me back but nothing yet.     I have no idea what will happen but God was on my side at least   I know this supervisor might help me out.  But I don't think in   time for an earlier interview.   Which is ok.    Thank you every one for your prayers.
