IR-1 / CR-1 Spouse Visa Case Filing and Progress Reports	NVC Filers - September 2014	Yeah, that's also true; people coming to the US can bring with them racist attitudes and other biases.  I'm a little more worried about those biases in the majority, because they are more likely to have power, like to work for the government reviewing people's visa application... but I suppose all such attitudes are potentially dangerous.        I had the same thoughts but we are  powerless and can only sit and pray the pass us by. Just checked the website and it is now to "ISSUED"   Thanks to everyone here- all the awesome people we've met, really appreciate the support, love, and compassion we all have for each other. Big Thanks to awesome Saylin, for keeping my wife sane , BDrew, BOS, KlgD, Stackeria, Lovemytico, JEFFINMX,  Mobar, and many others!   You all have brilliant. Will be writing a review soon. I will say that the checklist for NVC are beyond frustrating and uncall for as they didn't seem to be bothered to have no W2 nor want the P60!    Good luck to everyone still waiting for this lengthy process, it's hard but it will be worth it all in the end . Will be around (not posting much though) to see everyone's good news! Recommend you stick long enough to learn of the NVC timelines and pitfalls.     From my experience, frequent and extended meetings are a symptom of a dysfunctional organization. When most of the business is conducted through the meetings, most probably participants do little else outside them, not to mention the wasted man-hours due to large meetings where the majority are there just twiddling their thumbs.     I also witnessed the flipside of that coin. I lived in the States for 7 years, and I can tell that some of those "foreigners" are as racist as they accuse Americans to be. Some even refuse to socialize outside their expat circles on principle.     Yes that also happens doesn't say much for us as living beings now does it.   Some times because of the  way they were treated others because they are just plain and simple racists.   I've seen it also but not as much. Last scan date was july 15th, just called an hour ago and spoke to Lee who confirmed my cc. The ceac portal never had my aos fee change from paid to n/a. They may have fixed that now. IR-1 / CR-1 Spouse Visa Case Filing and Progress Reports	NVC Filers - September 2014	So we completed the ds261 on July 12th and my wife phoned the NVC last Friday 29th August asking how much longer it's gonna take so they said they will pass it on for a review. My wife called the NVC again today and they said the ds261 was reviewed 2 days ago (Tuesday) and that our IV bill will be any time now thank god!!!!      So happy for you but would you please take a few minutes to update your timeline it would help us out so much.  Don't know anything about your  IV package. So just for kicks and giggles, I decided to look up reviews posted by ex-employees of NVC on Indeed.com. Below is the link. Of course, we all expect a sweat shop, but some of the reviews reek of racism referring to our loved ones as ?desperate people trying to immigrate to America.? I?m petitioning for my elderly mother, the only family member I have, who for over a year is waiting to be reunited with her only child. Desperate to live in America? Not at all. Wanting to live with what is left of her family. Heck yeah! But those schmucks at NVC don?t see our loved ones as family severed from us and awaiting to be reunited.   Well, that?s my gripe for the week. I feel even more depressed than I was few minutes ago. IR-1 / CR-1 Spouse Visa Case Filing and Progress Reports	NVC Filers - September 2014	Hi  VJ Friends,   I spend a whole day yesterday without VJ, I had a training - being a program director is fabulous - you get to be away at training constantly. LOL if I only get enough time to practice what I trained for. Yes my expedite was denied but I was reading someone had their senator's helped them, so this morning I paid a little visit to my wonderful friend who work for the congressman as I used to actually work in the office who made an inquiry for me. So let's wait and see if the dream that I had can come true! A CASE COMPLETE AND AN OCTOBER INTERVIEW!!! He also said that NVC is actually doing the scheduling for the embassies now! Really!   WOW that's great will be praying they help you out and how great you know this person.  I was sent a message from Cairo Embassy that NVC does the scheualing but they are all a bunch of liars, never believe them.   Good luck will be saying special prayers so you get your expedite and interview date. I asked on VJ and got conflicting answers for which pen to use; some said black pen was needed, some said black had to be avoided because it appeared to be a copy and not original signature. Our IV checklist - the Singapore Police Clearance Certificate - was delivered on 28th and then scanned in on the 29th. A pleasant surprise - the only one I have had in almost 12 months!!!! Let's see some CC NVC please.      Oh GOD I hope so but I'm afraid to think it's true. One of them was a SUPER STAR in obtaining the e-mails between USCIS officials a few months back (through an FOIA request). You're very fortunate to live where you do! My Senators and Representative are totally useless.      Not really it's like NVC random, I'm in CA and my Congresswoman Napolitano office did NOTHING.  Senator Boxer's office did send a letter but so late is made no difference at all and told me in a cold snotty way we really can't do much and it's as effective as you sending a letter but we will send it.   Apathetic little trolls. My staff and I will do our best to help you resolve your problem.  I have been in touch with the National Visa Center and have asked that this matter be attended to promptly. I will get back to you as soon as I receive a response to my inquiry.     Thanks to my Senator my case was closed Fri. I received a checklist for the Russian police certificate. The same day they received it my case was closed. I did not have to wait. I thank Senator Mikulski for all her help.    WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO HOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO CONGRATULATIONS not only for moving ahead but for having a great Senator most of them are worthless.  So happy for you!                 Edited by Soloenta, 03 September 2014 - 06:27 PM. But was it our IV fee????   NO.   ANOTHER 60 DAYS EMAIL FOR THE FRIGGIN' IV PACKAGE.    Lame.      Geezzzzzzzzzzzzz we keep getting letters in mail about changing address and IV over and over again.   I'm always amazed at how efficient they are.   No worries they are just torturing you before they give you what you want.     They miss us when we're gone. I think if they work 4 weekends for real - I mean put and train all their phone staff to review files and put everyone to work for those particular weekends! They would save themselves the hiring cost that comes with recruitment and get some files out of the way! In addition starting Sep 12 - combine AOS and IV fees so the only receive one package which saves time for everyone and allow people to submit checklist electronically and have a certain amount of people just on checklist and give them a quota of performance per day or they are fired!!! IS IT REALLY THAT HARD?      See I keep trying to tell you guys, your thinking logically with common sense and intelligence all of which those at immigration have none of. Then you start partying just to realize it was a DREAM! I need to call Dr. Phillips to find out when do I start my second job because I think NVC will cause me to loose my mind if I spend all day long just staring at this computer screen.      Hahahaaa too funny, you triggered my brain, I had a dream two nights ago when I could finally sleep that I was sitting at the computer and saw my CC while at the same time I was I think at the Embassy in Cairo and I was sitting at a desk working on the computer.   Hahahaaaa see we have to take this as a good omen and I'm afraid Dr. Phil wont be able to help us since damage from USCIS/NVC/Embassy is permanent.   We just have to deal with it.    Edited by Soloenta, 03 September 2014 - 07:08 AM.
