IR-1 / CR-1 Spouse Visa Case Filing and Progress Reports	NVC Filers - July 2014	Hello Everyone,   I'm new to the NVC stage, I'm a Dec2013 filer my husband is the USC  and Im the aussie  applicant i have paid the AOS bill and currently gathering all our evidence to send it. I tried to pay the IV fee as well but it wont let me (I think from what ive read you have to wait til after they put in the DS-261- choice of agent info- is that correct?)  Also i have one more question as I tried asking NVC when i rang to change our address but the lady wasnt helpful at all, My husband is a permanent resident in Australia and has lived here for 6 years so I know we need a joint sponsor who will be me husbands brother but my question is do we send my husbands AOS first and wait for them to say we need a joint sponsor (which we already know) or are we able to send it all together?  thanks for any help guys      Welcome to the thread ...................  did you read the first page Saylin has it's really important to read it, it will answer many of your questions.  I try not to answer question if I can avoid it since I don't want to mess anyone up.  But I'm sure there will be people that know much more than me to help you shortly.  Much luck to you. IR-1 / CR-1 Spouse Visa Case Filing and Progress Reports	NVC Filers - July 2014	Passport number in one of the very first sections?  That will be your husband's passport number.    Always happy to help      Thank you sweet heart but this one is at the very end before you send the DS-260 where it states E-Signature.  So I'm guessing it's my husbands but not sure.  So your saying at this point since the form is for beneficiary it's my husbands they need again?  My confusion is that I'll be sending for my husband so do they want my passport number or his? IR-1 / CR-1 Spouse Visa Case Filing and Progress Reports	NVC Filers - July 2014	Hmmm I received a physical piece of mail from NVC dated July 10th, stating that they have updated the address or email address associated with our case.  However, no changes whatsoever have been made (well, not that I am aware of anyways).  I am sure this is just another mysterious non-sensical NVC correspondence.... but has anyone else received or heard of such a letter?   Same here, for both mother and father.  We're putting "I don't know."  I can't see any reason why they would care.      God bless you now i can finally send it I know my husband wont wake up until tomorrow he's working two jobs every day but Friday. I did call Nvc regarding that visa issue where I marked no at ever being rejected. The guy said it's not a problem and just mention at the interview. IR-1 / CR-1 Spouse Visa Case Filing and Progress Reports	NVC Filers - July 2014	Hello All, It has been 3 months since I got my case number and still no IV invoice, I am really tired of this process. me and my wife can not take it anymore, I am leaving oversease tomorrow to stay with my wife and daughter untill the NVC start working on our case. 14months + since we started this process and still do not know when it is going to end, I quit my job and put my education on hold till who knows when. I am really frustrated right now, but what can we do!!! goodluck everyone and i will try to keep you updated if anything happen (internet slow oversease),,thanks          I think this is why NVC and USCIS does what they do to bring us down so low we can't take it anymore.  I have seen people give up and decide to just move overseas permanently.  I wish you all the luck in the world Lottry and I hope this mess all works out in the end.  At least you will be with your loved ones and this madness will be more tolerable.  God bless you and your family and I'll be praying or you as I pray for all those on this thread. IR-1 / CR-1 Spouse Visa Case Filing and Progress Reports	NVC Filers - July 2014	Hi Everyone, Just a little vent because, well, just because this is so frustrating.   Why is the NVC so messed up right now? We were approved through USCIS in early May. I called NVC to see what was taking so long to get an email and they said it was scanned in on May 21st, and it would be 30 business days. I think I talked to that jerk Parker someone mentioned a few days ago. He wasn't so nasty on the phone with me on this call, although I felt rushed to get off the phone, but I has waited 45 min to talk to someone so i had a lot of questions. This was June 12th. So end of June rolls around and I call back and get the same guy I talked to originally. This time he says 30 business days from the day I called the 1st time (june 12). I said nooooo, you told me 30 biz days from May 21st when the petition was scanned in and he argued with me to the point that he put me on hold about 2 times in the middle of me speaking and pretty much yelled at me. I asked to talk to a supervisor who was nice, and about 2 days later we were able to pay the AOS bill and my hub submitted the DS261.  I overnighted the AOS after paying the bill and waited about 2 weeks to call. I called  and talked to a really nice guy this time. He said they just scanned in the AOS...it took over a week to scan in something I overnighted. UGH.   So, then of course the guy said it would be 30 biz days to get to reviewing the AOS and the same for the DS261. We can't even fill out the DS260 until the bill becomes available and that won't happen until they review the DS261. It has like 3 questions on it!! I asked why it took so long to move past the 261 and he said that this 5 min process (his words) is now taking 30 BUSINESS DAYS. WHAT??   Needless to say this is very frustrating. To top it all off my husbands contract in Japan is now ending and we have to change the embassy from Japan to his home country of France. Another process that is going to elongate this process.   We applied in November thinking this process would take less then a year but it is not looking likely. I asked the last NVC guy when we would likely get an interview if we are approved and he said probably November. This is putting our lives on hold!   Is there anything else I can do to get this moving? I have called NVC about 4 times to check on things, but I don't think that is helping at all.        Yes there is, find and shoot every applicant in front of you.  I have thought of this, but I would have to get up off my chair to do it.            Believe me we feel your pain. IR-1 / CR-1 Spouse Visa Case Filing and Progress Reports	NVC Filers - July 2014	Nvc scanned my AOS on 27/6 and till nw nothing did i have to call nvc to know if i have a checklist or they accpeted the AOS OR they tell my in email or what ?     Don't worry Koko they are taking their time some 30 days some 35,  yes call that is the only way you will find out and you will have to wait until Monday.       You know how they say you become like your spouse?  I think it's true, I was supposed to call NVC Friday and I didn't hahahahaa I'm a serial procrastinator trainee. The number of dependants on the tax form is 0 (1 if my husband counts himself). The checklist states: 2> 1 so what am I doing wrong?      My mistake sorry, someone will be on soon that will help you out.  It's still early and Saturday here so be patient and someone will help. IR-1 / CR-1 Spouse Visa Case Filing and Progress Reports	NVC Filers - July 2014	Hi,   So it looks like we got a conditional case complete.  The conditional part is that we still have a checklist that I now have to bring to the interview:     What happened is that we didn't have the 2013 taxes done in time for the AOS, so we submitted the extension paperwork (4868) instead.  Thus we gave them the 2013 income information (section 18 of the I-864ez), but the 2012,2011,2010 tax information (section 19) and the 4868 for 2013.   The good news is that we how have the tax information for 2013 so I will be bringing a copy of the tax return and the tax transcript.  This should satisfy the "supporting documents", right?  Do I also need to fill out a new, signed, I-846ez to bring to the interview?   My real question is about the "sponsor's household size" section:  The sum of lines 16 is 2, and the number of individuals claimed on the 2012 tax return is 0, 1 if he counts himself (I, the beneficiary, am not living with him so do not qualify as a dependant). 2>0, so I don't see what's wrong.  Do they just want to make sure that the number is still 0/1 on the 2013 tax return? Also, where does it state the number of dependants on the tax transcript?  Is there something I'm supposed to do?   I really want to get through the interview with all the correct paperwork.  Thank you in advance for your help.      If you have a sponsor you would be added to the total of his household If not mistaken because he will be responsible for you needed or not. So I would think the total for household would be TWO.  Has nothing to do with what he claimed on his taxes. .       I hope Jsumner86 can come by to answer this or someone else with more knowledge than me, but I think I'm right but wont hold my breath. IR-1 / CR-1 Spouse Visa Case Filing and Progress Reports	NVC Filers - July 2014	I've read the NVC wiki and scoured the internet for this information but can't find it anywhere. I am the petitioner (U.S. citizen) and I want to be the sole sponsor for my wife, the beneficiary. I have been solely working abroad for the past three years so therefore I have never received any IRS W2 tax forms from my employer because I work for a Taiwanese company in Taiwan. However, I do receive W2 like tax forms from the Taiwanese government that state my annual income and the taxes withheld and I do have my U.S. tax return (Form 1040 and 2555-EZ).   I have the required assets to be eligible to be to sole sponsor of my wife but I don't understand which I-864 form to fill out and if I have to use a co-sponsor. It would be very beneficial for us to not have to find a co-sponsor. Any help would be greatly appreciated!      Someone will help you shortly it's 1:00 am here but would like to ask if the Company you work for has a company here in the USA.  Can you be transferred?  If it's possible that would be perfect if not mistaken.       Welcome to the Tread we might be nutz but it's not our fault. IR-1 / CR-1 Spouse Visa Case Filing and Progress Reports	NVC Filers - July 2014	I finally received the IV fee invoice email and paid the IV fee!      I had waited for 28 darn business days.     I'm sending my IV package next Monday.  I hope I don't receive a checklist!  So scary!  I'm peeing in my pants!     Since I had 28 business days to prepare for the IV package, I've revised my IV cover letter 3-4 times.  I've decided to include documents they MIGHT need.  For example, I'm sending them my original marriage certificate AND certified copy JUST IN CASE my reviewer doesn't like one of them.         Getting a checklist on the AOS package is okay since it won't change your timeline since we have to wait for up to 30 business days for the IV fee invoice.  However, getting a checklist on the IV package is a crime since it'll delay the application timeline by 2 months!  OMG!  Fingers crossed!           Congratulations and Depends is your friend.          Know what I did?  Hehehe I scanned mine sent it to the US Embassy in Egypt and they replied that the documents are correct and sent them with it's respective document.  Now let's see what NVC thinks about this.   SOB's might just reject them for the Halibut.     Edited by Soloenta, 19 July 2014 - 12:22 AM. I actually read through everything on NVC website and all the emails I got and it clearly says to wait until you pay the IV fee and it says "paid" on the website before you send the IV package, but I could't see that anywhere for the AOS. So, I did it! I can also now access the AOS bill online. Here's the question... What are our thoughts (considering how long each step is taking now) for sending the AOS package today as soon as I pay the bill?    I have read the wiki (and re-read it!) so I know Saylin's note, but I'm so anxious! I just want to get it there! Has anyone had problems with their payments not going through? IR-1 / CR-1 Spouse Visa Case Filing and Progress Reports	NVC Filers - July 2014	Hello Guys!   I have one quick question:   Bc of my country official language is different that English translations are demanded. I am wondering if Marriage, Police, Military certificates must be translated by certified translator + public notary done or i need apostle for all and notary isn't enough? Or maybe maybe just translation with statement at the end is enough and apostle and notary is extra?   Below is requirements by my country for IV visa and translation is mentioned also. Just much people tell me i need apostle and i got confused.   8. TRANSLATIONS: Certified English translations must accompany all documents that are not in English. Translations must be certified by a competent translator and sworn before a Notary Public. All certificates must be less than 12 months old when presented on the interview date.   Thanks you very much!       We had all of our documents that are in Arabic translated by the certified translator the Embassy had on the website.  I wouldn't risk another 30 day wait and have them done right.   Just my half cent worth.   Good luck. IR-1 / CR-1 Spouse Visa Case Filing and Progress Reports	NVC Filers - July 2014	Hi Soloenta   I absolutely agree to not do this again -- I think my husband would actually kill me. Unfortunately, we didn't realise how important the reentry visa was considering i'm away studying on a Federal student loan and was filing taxes. Looking back, it was silly not to look into it. Then again, we presumed we would be traveling back often. Either way, it's been a very stressful year thus far.    I hope this process goes smoothly -- your words are encouraging, especially thinking about my husband and daughter being separated. That being said, I don't deserve it to go more smoothly for me over anyone else.       I think it's fair actually you have gone through this process which depending on the situation ie: as being separated from your loved one is beyond stressful so I think it's only fair in your case.   Others not so much and I get upset when I see people complaining about something taking 30 days when the whole USCIS process has only taken them 22 to 60 days now those people don't deserve the rest to be easy.  I know I sound bitter but I AM!  Hahahaaa.          Now for the important things in life,  we need more emotes I say since Saylin is brilliant she can make us some, so we need a list.  I will need one picking it's nose,  one fainting, one with a pissed off look and arms crossed.
