IR-1 / CR-1 Spouse Visa Case Filing and Progress Reports	NVC Filers - July 2014	Hello fellow July NVC filers.    My I-130 was approved last week but I can't imagine it's reached the NVC yet.    I accidentally abandoned my green card and am going through the process again. Adjusting status in the US was so much more straight forward than USCIS to NVC to Embassy.    I hope it goes smooth for everyone.      Welcome, I have seen this happen to one other person and it was pretty smooth sailing and didn't take as near the time as it has for us.  Good luck to you welcome to the thread and for Gods sake please don't let that happen again.         Or we will you heheheheeee.   Thank you and the same to you. IR-1 / CR-1 Spouse Visa Case Filing and Progress Reports	NVC Filers - July 2014	Originally I got an Interview schedule by NVC for August 18, by mistake when I was creating an account for Loomis courier , by mistake I schedule an appointment for August 21st and immediately I cancelled that appointment.  I called this morning to confirm that my original appointment was still schedule and they informed me that appointment was cancelled too (because of my stupidity  ). Then she said we have an opening for August 5th, would you like to take that appointment? WOULD I LIKE TO TAKE THAT APPOINTMENT? LOL of course I said! so at the end it paid off. IR-1 / CR-1 Spouse Visa Case Filing and Progress Reports	NVC Filers - July 2014	I am filling out my I-864 now. I am only sponsoring my husband who is listed in part 2. Do i list him again in part 3 under family number 1? In the example form it doesn't have this part filled out. So I didn't because i checked yes in part 3 question 1 to: I am sponsoring the principal immigrant named in part 2. Just want to make sure I get it right  Hi Solenta! No we didn't expedite.  We are both living abroad and got very lucky with the timing that we sent in our paperwork I guess! Other couples both living abroad are experiencing the same quick I-130 approval lately. Im unsure of the reason, but I feel so so lucky as I know lots of couples are apart during the long approval process!    We will have a slower NVC process. I was already told I will get a checklist because I am filling out I-864 and showing support with only assets as my income abroad does not count and I need to fill in 0.00 for my current income. They will ask for a joint sponsor and then let the embassy decide. My husband will also fill out I-864a with his assets.    Just curious  when you got your case number did you keep checking for the Ds-261 to open up or did you wait for the email?       Hahahahaa   I have to be honest, it usually upsets me to see people fly by I have seen the whole USCIS process take 22 to 60 days for some people for some unexplained reason and I want to be happy for them but I just can't.  But I have to tell you that I am very happy you  have gone through this quickly and I mean it.  You seem so sweet and kind not a snot like the others zipping by.    I hope your journey through NVC will prove to be go by quickly and that your interview be a smooth one.   I only called once a week for our case number, I saw people calling twice a day or more and it was driving them crazy.  I realalized that it wouldn't change a thing and when I called the thrid week I think they had my case number and Invoice number for me.  But it's up to you and the wait time is horrible.  Waited for an hour and 25 minutes one time. It's the NVC.    If it's a false checklist it's usually like this if they just reviewed your AOS:    ______1 - IMMIGRANT VISA APPLICATION PART 1:_______________________   The National Visa Center received your DS-260 form. We are waiting for the traveling applicant?s   supporting civil documents to be submitted to the NVC. Your online Immigrant Visa Application will be   reviewed upon receipt of your supporting documentation.   To view which documents the applicant must submit to the NVC, please go to our website   immigrantvisas.state.gov.   ^(That's for the civil docs) they haven't been reviewed yet...   There's a list at the bottom of it stating what is missing and what you need to send them . If you're not sure you can always ask .         Heheheheee I am shhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh and I've proved it.   But thank you, your so kind.  Well, honestly when they post what they received in an e-mail it looks like Chinese to me.  I hope I never get one or have to ask and If I don't get on on the AOS you know why and it has nothing to do wiff me.       If you pay me for my wiki first       Not a problem! Besides what you listed, it's basically just me sitting in front of a computer Sometimes I go out and watch movies! *gasp*    In their case, no, it wasn't a false checklist as at the bottom there was a bit about 2013 tax information. The I-864 form itself was fine though.   For false checklists, it just states they're waiting for the entire package. IR-1 / CR-1 Spouse Visa Case Filing and Progress Reports	NVC Filers - July 2014	I understand when people get click-happy during internet problems, so it appears a bunch of times, but they also had posted a few times before that, without giving others a chance to answer. And it's often the same things with others. They'll post a question, and not even an hour or so later, re-post the same exact question. I'm fine if people wait at least a day before re-posting as sometimes posts can get lost in the flurry of posts on these monthly threads, but people who post within an hour or so drive me crazy. And when you've been here for almost 4 years and see it month in and month out, it's more than just "kinda annoying".   Not to mention, in like 90%+ of the times, people can get their answers by simply reading the first post and taking my advice (reading the wiki, looking at my spreadsheet/others' timelines and signatures, searching here on VJ for their answer, using Google, calling up NVC and asking, etc etc). It gets annoying real quick when people don't even use the FREE information that's provided to them, but instead want something even better than lawyers: instant answers to all their questions with no researching and provided free of charge.   And personally, I'd rather see sarcasm in here than whining and ranting. If there's no specific question under a part, then that part was fine. And looking at your checklist, nothing was listed under any of the parts, so all they wanted was 2013 tax information. So, what you sent was fine        So Yoda, does that mean it's a false check list or is NVC showing how stupid they can really be?        I'm feeling weird, I've never been a violent but I kinda wish someone from the Egyptian Embassy was here so I could beat the C_ _ _ out of them and I don't know why. The email states:   Preference Category Name: CR1   This December will be my 2 year marriage anniversary, if i decide to enter the US after December, will the category automatically change to IR1? My husband s planning to visit me in september for our anniversary. We havent gone forva honeymoon yet...soimplanning to visit singapore for our honeymoon, is it ok for me to travel out of my country during this process???? How are you guys expediting??? Nvc rep has told my hubby that he can try expedite giving a reason. But I dont think so it is possible. Anyone here pls give opinions My hubby called nvc and found out our docs got scanned on july 10th. Our lawyer told us he sent it on june 19th. And it has taken 2 weeks to get deliver and get scanned.....im so in an upset mood. I was so dissappointed that our lawyer has sent our docs in a normal post he should have sent them in a express post or overnight shipping. Im so depressed, Atleast it got scanned... ( trying t relax my mind). Sigh        Most of us have been waiting well over a year and have a lot longer to go.  Expedite is very difficult and has to be a life or death situation they say not really convinced of that.
