IR-1 / CR-1 Spouse Visa Case Filing and Progress Reports	NVC Filers - July 2014	I am a Jan 2013 filer STILL at NVC!!!!   ARGHHHHH!!!!!  They have done nothing but screw up our case repeatedly.  1 year for NOA2.  Then USCIS never sent our case to NVC.. but they made us wait ~4 months before they would even look into it.. I am so sick of all this nonsense and seeing people who applied months and months and months and months after us get their visas ahead of us.  Makes me so sick.  All I want to do is be with my husband.          OMG I'm so sorry for you, isn't there anyone that can do something you can complain to?  Have you contacted your Senator they can usually do something or know who to contact this is just a travesty! IR-1 / CR-1 Spouse Visa Case Filing and Progress Reports	NVC Filers - July 2014	I really need help.nvc assigned case number yesterday n today i went online to fill up ds 261 n i think i made a serious mistake.i put NO that i dont need agent(i m the beneficiary).i did not put my my wife as an agent.i forgot.now what will happen.plz i need help       Just go back and redo it and don't go back to it again or it will delay you.  Many have clicked on it and it has apparently sent it again and they take the last date when you clicked on it.   So you can fix it but once you do don't click on it again. IR-1 / CR-1 Spouse Visa Case Filing and Progress Reports	NVC Filers - July 2014	One of the main things that made our USCIS letter campaigns possible - and got us recognition from both USCIS and eventually the media - is that we had hard data to back up our claims. Monthly volume and trend reports, information from the AILA, internal government emails linking DACA and the I-130 backlog, etc. I think making a similar push with NVC would be difficult because all we have to go on are anecdotes from members here. NVC doesn't publish statistics like USCIS does. I'm not saying it's impossible or not worth a shot, but I do think it would be much harder to compose a compelling, factual argument to complain about how much worse things are now than a few months ago.     I agree but at the same time they are connected thus the evidence. I hope ur hubby knows how very lucky he is to have u )) but yes u r right we have indeed come really far. It's almost over. I was married in jan 2013 and I haven't seen my husband for 18 months. It's just so terrible and brings me so close to Tears but then I think that just a couple months more and it's gonna be over inshAllah      Awwwww thank you my dear friend and I feel the same way about you.  I married in 2011 and came back to the USA in May of last year to take care of my parents or I would have stayed with my husband.  I know the moments of anguish of feeling all alone of thinking did I really find the love of my life or has this only been a dream and now I'm awake hahahaaa.  But soon very soon you will be with your love once more and this time no one will tear you apart.   That will be our gift for all the sadness and tears we have shed InshaAllah.   God bless you and know I'll be praying for you. Atleast they should have two departments one of them working just on 2013 files and other on 2014. It's just so unfair and cruel what they are doing to us. Was it our fault to get married from jan to June 2013? This is just really unfair that people who get approved in 22 days are put together with ppl who waited 10.5 months like me or even 13 months for some ppl at Uscis stage. I think we should make a complaint.     I don't think it will help us at all the same with the complaint for USCIS which now has us in this mess but I'm willing to complain just tell me where.   And no it's not fair and they should compensate us and not make us wait forever for a interview date for months like we will have to wait. Times have not doubled but multiplied 3 times. And we have had enough of torture from Uscis! Guys any suggestions where should we complaint to? Lol! ) I have been so stressed out lately that I have forgotten to laugh even. I wonder when this will end.     I know, I feel the same way my dear friend but then I look back at how far we have come and think what if we were just starting, makes me cringe.  So you are close to the end, just a little longer just hang in there just a few more days and you will have Case Complete.  We are here for you and we know the loneliness and sadness you're feeling.  I think this process is made to tear us apart, to weaken us if our love isn't strong enough.  Let's not let them win be strong a little bit longer and know I for one am here for you as long as you need me.  I'll be praying that you will have your CC very soon. IR-1 / CR-1 Spouse Visa Case Filing and Progress Reports	NVC Filers - July 2014	Someone please correct me if I am wrong, but I am almost 100% positive that there is no IV form. There is the IV package that has to be sent out once the IV fee is paid but I don't think there is one specific form like there was for the AOS package (I-864).     Hummm I thought there was a form to fill out for the IV.   Ok ty  So sweet of you to answer me.   Dear Soloenta, sweet heart....after you pay the IV you send your IV package , the 260 is the form you need to fill out online.  I hope this helps!      Thank you Marcelita dear.       The IV Form is the DS-260.        Bless your heart, thank you so much I thought so but wasn't sure.  From what I had been reading I though it was two different things.   God bless you for making it clear as a bell. The down side is that it's meant for attorneys rather than allowing petitioners/beneficiaries to report in, but check it out:    "The AILA DOS Liaison Committee has received numerous reports from AILA members regarding issues that they are experiencing with the National Visa Center (NVC). If you have experienced any problems with the NVC within the last six months, please complete the following survey. If you have questions, please e-mail reports@aila.org with the subject line 'NVC Issues.'"   Anyone who is represented by a lawyer might consider referring them to this page - http://www.aila.org/...spx?docid=49043     This should be for everyone not just those with lawyers it's not fair and they and I mean everyone including Embassies and Embassy counselors should be held accountable for their actions they should not be omnipotent.   "Absolute power corrupts absolutely"     Please if you ever come across anything like this for Embassies and Counselors please let us know. Once the IV fee shows as "paid" in CEAC, the DS-260 also becomes available, and you can complete it at any time. Still no option to pay for IV. Is it about time to call?    I am so tired of this process, 15 months so far. I feel like I've fallen off a tree and hit every branch on the way down.   And just because I need to vent, why the hell has my wife's IV package gotten stuck in customs for a month?      Sadly many of us feel the exact same way.  Like falling into  deep well with no way out!    Time to call might say, ok will say 30 days but you just never know with them.  Like potluck,  will be praying you get your fee for IV unlocked, by the way you will still have to wait a few days to be able to download the IV.       We all need to VENT and we are here for you when you feel the need, it's how we keep the little sanity we have left.     Edited by Soloenta, 10 July 2014 - 02:20 AM. IR-1 / CR-1 Spouse Visa Case Filing and Progress Reports	NVC Filers - July 2014	I moved to a new apartment recently, but my roommates still live at my old address, so I was able to get my NOA2 anyway at my old address. I didn't want to change my address while at USCIS because I heard it was a huge pain.   What is the protocol for changing address while at NVC? Can I just call? If I do so is it just something they input immediately or is it going to cause a delay in my case? I would just keep using my old address, but my taxes this year have my new address, so I figure I should be consistent.    Any help much appreciated!      I asked this question of USCIS and all you have to do is call with the new address.  If you wait for NVC you can e-mail the change but it will take at least 30 business days or more.  I asked USCIS if it would delay my petition and they said no.    I wish I had gone through USCIS for the change of address.   Hope that helps. You must submit an Affidavit of Support form before we can complete your case"   I have submitted both packages the same day and both got scanned 2nd of July   Is it a fake check list?            If not mistaken this is good news and yes a false check list, please someone correct me if I'm wrong.      But you should just no matter what. I got thru in the 4th try (around 2.15 pm CT) and was on hold for only 16 minutes. To me that was very unusual as I have waited as much as 70 minutes at times.   Does this mean NVC is getting better? Although I do want to mention that she asked me to wait "30 business days"      No they're just lulling you into a false state of security before they drop the bomb on us.   Can you say PARANOID? When I was calling, they always acknowledged receipt of "a package" on such-and-such date, then they would always remind me to complete the DS-260 (which was done two days before they received the IV). I wonder if because they're not up to that date, they don't show it in their system?     I gave up trying to figure them out a LONGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGG time ago.  I just stare blankly at the wall when I call.
