My Rant (it?s been a while since I been with ya?ll here). :devil:

 

Can someone explain to me what has happened to the mental state of NVC and the timeline?

Seriously! They told my friend the Petitioner that NVC cannot talk to the Petitioner only beneficiary. This after being on hold endlessly to hear this.

So I say call back so they did this morning only to find out that their petition that was approved over a month ago just got their Monday and to wait another month for case#.

 

Now I am seeing people get case# and still waiting weeks and weeks to be invoiced. :cry:

 

NVC has now become USCIS. What in the name of all that?s holy is going on people. :ranting: :protest:

It shouldn't depend on your browser. There's a setting to show signatures. Go into your settings, then hit the 'Ignore' Preferences tab. At the very top, there's a setting about signatures. I'm assuming yours is checked. Uncheck it and save. Then you should be able to see people's signatures! Including your own ;)

 

    WOW had no idea, never saw this page thank you so much yet again now I can see all the signatures :dance: :yes: :dance: . :D

I am newer than most of you to the NVC phase. I just received my case number on the 24th and now I am trying to get my IIN number because Ariel wouldn't give it to me last week. lol. Good Luck to all of you!

       Please everyone if you come across nasty customer service reps and I mean really nasty one complain also for lost documents etc at,

Can't believe am still stuck at NVC. Was in May & June NVC filler, now am at July NVC filler again. Common NVC get yourself busy and send me my IV bill, am sick & tired of been away from my husband.

Yes I don't think we would wait more than Tuesday. It's just so so stupid to send false checklist right away and make us wait for real one after issuing it after 50 frigging days Urghhh. Nvc is a mad house.

 

   I agree, they should rectify this by reviewing your AOS right away, they need a special department for that if they don't have it already.  Just upsetting and stupid, doesn't justify the fee I'll tell you that.  :(  SOB's. (F) (L) (F)

Thankyou fr the wishes! After how long did u receive the email? I was checklisted Thursday. and still haven't recieved any email from them. 2 precious are already lost. Should I wait fr it or just send the correction with AOS cover sheet? I don't know why I think that with AOS cover sheet they longer time and with checklist cover sheet maybe shorter :|

 

    Once I realized I made a mistake (several but had ton's of help) I sent it right away I didn't wait for anything.  If you know what they want I would send it.  Hope Mobar comes in to answer you have until Tuesday to decide. :) All will be fine just a few more days than it would have been and I think they are moving a little faster. :D  (F) (L) (F)

I know, I hadn't snd them originally. My spouse was skeptical of sending the originals and so now we together pay the price of waiting longer

 

   Awwwww so very sorry to know this,  I think it's a good idea after you send the originals in to get another set if possible I know it's a pain but it will save ton's of time if they are lost.  Wish my poor husband had time to get a second set of original documents. :(   Good luck to you and let's all pray that NVC speeds up, miracles do happen. :) (F) (L) (F)

But now I tell him that a marriage which can go thru this torture and pain can survive anything.     Well I think that is the way it's supposed to be let me give you an example.

 

   Your name is Pakis Tani you get married and your name is now Pakis Tani Brown you have a baby so

the baby would be (making up a name)  Rose Brown Tani if not mistaken.   I know it's like that for South America.   Please anyone correct me if I'm wrong. :)   I really don't think you have anything to worry about.

Please don't be offended.

Just because lying is socially acceptable in Egypt (or in Kuwait for that matter) as long as one doesn't get caught or can sweet-talk oneself out of it, doesn't mean it's acceptable behavior everywhere else. It certainly is not in the US, at least the US I know. Never ever lie in your representations, not verbally and certainly not in writing. Even if by a miracle, the CO won't catch your lie and you get your visa, and by another miracle you pass through POE, it could come back and haunt you in your future dealings with the USCIS and easily result in immediate removal from the US (and from your wife and kids) with a multi-year bar to boot. Who needs that!

 

   You know I respect you very much but I disagree that it's acceptable in Egypt to lie.  My husband would rather die than lie to anyone and he does not continue a friendship with those that do.  I don't think he is an exception to the rule either. 

    I believe we are all human and there is no people from any country that accept lying and any other bad habit as socially acceptable.   Koko is just scared and I do understand why and when your feeling like that you just can't think straight.

Have you ever been refused a us visa , been refused admission to the united states , or withdrawn your application for admission at the port of entey ?

What can i do
I have been refused to get b1-b2 visa to visit my wife at the last christmas ? -Tourism visa-
-the officer at the embassy told me : if u want to see ur wife at the christmas and ur frist anniversary
She must came to me but i cann't go to her and i must wait for my cr1 visa to be issued -

And she actually came to visit me

And on 2012 i have get denail decision from uscis for k1 visa

i will answer this question by yes and write this or by no

    You must always say the truth because they know about it anyway.  They want to know if you will be truthful or not so put only the truth in the DS-260 and every other form.  If there is a space to explain then explain it to them.  I think you'll be just fine so don't worry. :)

So good news and bad news:

 

Today we finally heard the long awaited words CASE COMPLETE!!!!!!!!!!

 

Obviously that's the good news. The bad news is that we got checklisted a second time for our AOS package! However, as it seems to only be a minor thing (I think our co sponsor made one or two errors on the I-184 form) they have decided to complete our case anyway and have asked us to re-do the I-184 and I will need to bring it with me to my interview.

 

So even though we have gotten a second checklist which could have delayed us another couple of months, they've given us the benefit of the doubt and completed the case provided I bring the corrected I-184 to my interview. In my mind this was a narrow escape as I'm sure if they wanted to they could have asked us to resubmit the AOS package a third time! I wonder if this is common for people who have already been through a checklist delay?

 

Anyway, I'm not complaining as we've finally got a case complete and now we're on to the next stage. However, I do now have the added worry of bringing the corrected I-184 to my interview and hoping there won't be a problem with it again. That is stress I could have done without!

 

So good news and bad news, but so happy for our case complete!!!! : )

It is so annoying that the NVC approve dates that were scanned after yours. Then you hear of people with CC 2 weeks ago getting interviews after people who got CC this week .... how it this all fair!

Alright. I'm reading everyone's' questions about name change deeds and stuff and it's getting me all worked up. After I got married to my husband I formally changed my name to his, so the government and all other entities recognize me as this, however my birth certificate is still my maiden name since I didn't get a legal name change. Do I need to send NVC a document or something along with my IV package about my name change? 

 

  I have never heard of changing your name on a birth certificate because you where not married then and it's to stay as is since that is the name you were born with.   Someone correct me if I'm wrong please. :)

Freedom of Information Act. Great way to get hold of public information that the government doesn't publicize -- like lovely emails USCIS officials exchange about the I-130 backlog, for instance :) Some of them have been posted around VJ. We could make similar requests for information from NVC to get hard proof of the clusterf- there.

Well, yes, it'll delay your case as NVC goes by the last submitted date of your DS-261. Again, I repeat what I said earlier, the petitioner does NOT need to be the agent; it's fine if the beneficiary is. Just make sure both email addresses are on file.

We can point to the I-130 backlog data and extrapolate it's the cause of the NVC slowdown, but there's nothing concrete we can use to show that there's not just correlation but also causation. There's also nothing official that demonstrates how USCIS catching up on petitions has caused an extremely unfair divergence from the first in, first out processing policy (e.g., Jan 2013 filers awaiting CC with Jan 2014 filers). The case can definitely be made, I just don't think it will be as strong as we could make it at USCIS. Perhaps it's time to submit FOIA requests for NVC documentation or statistics?

 

   I agree with you and what the heck is FOIA?  Hahahaa I have no clue. :D

I am a Jan 2013 filer STILL at NVC!!!!   ARGHHHHH!!!!!  They have done nothing but screw up our case repeatedly.  1 year for NOA2.  Then USCIS never sent our case to NVC.. but they made us wait ~4 months before they would even look into it.. I am so sick of all this nonsense and seeing people who applied months and months and months and months after us get their visas ahead of us.  Makes me so sick.  All I want to do is be with my husband. 

 

      OMG I'm so sorry for you, isn't there anyone that can do something you can complain to?  Have you contacted your Senator they can usually do something or know who to contact this is just a travesty! :( My heart breaks for you.  (F) (L) (F)
