IR-1 / CR-1 Spouse Visa Case Filing and Progress Reports	NVC Filers - July 2014	My PCC is from 04/22/2014 and valid until 07/22/2014, ill be getting new PPC for the interview but i was worried about them expiring at the NVC .   Alrighty then sounds like all is good as long as ill bring new Police and Court records to the Embassy .   Thanks for the Reply     Ok that is what I needed hahahaa yes it is good for a full year for the US Embassy.   You can get one just in case I would you just never know what these crazy people have in mind.  Might as well cover all bases.   And your welcome my pleasure. I hope and pray  with all my heart you will not go through AP . It really pisses me off that they have a case from a certain country and for whatever reason they have to do a bigger background check.   My goodness why dont they(USCIS)  do that from the beginning of the process and from your timeline they had enough time to do a research even for your great great great great  grandmother.   That really sucks. IR-1 / CR-1 Spouse Visa Case Filing and Progress Reports	NVC Filers - July 2014	AP = Administrative Processing     Sorry if someone asked this question in the past, but I was wondering what exactly it was.     Does it only apply to some applicants from specific countries?       AP means they need to dig into your past more, it happens more in certain countries like Egypt and Pakistan not sure which country is worse or not.  They don't really need a reason so anyone from any country can be put in AP.   My biggest fear and the one that keeps me awake at night since they don't have to tell you a thing and can last for ever. IR-1 / CR-1 Spouse Visa Case Filing and Progress Reports	NVC Filers - July 2014	Hi Everyone,   My husband and i have been at the NVC since April 8th, and i am a bit worried about my PCC cause of the expiration date, it says on the forms valid until July 22,2014... and with the NVC's ridiculous long waiting time and  checklists these days you never know, (we waited 33 days to be able to pay the IV fee )! On the immigrant Visa Checklist Consular Section,U.S. Consulate Casablanca it says Police certificates are valid for one (1) year from the date they were issued. Has anyone ever gotten a checklist for expired PCC ? i got my PCC back when my NOA1 got approved but since they took so long it expired (3 months validity) but now i am worried about getting another checklist for the IV package after getting the most unfair AOS checklist last week...          Are you saying your PCC is only good for 3 months and it's expired?  The Embassy doesn't care how long it's valid for in Morocco or Egypt as it is in my case they choose how long it's valid for.  So if you have 9 months since your NOA1 your good if not you need to get a new one. Base if it's valid with what the Embassy which is a year then renew only if it's been over a year you have had the PCC.   If it's close to expire meaning the year validity is coming up then renew for the Embassy.      Hope I didn't confuse you. IR-1 / CR-1 Spouse Visa Case Filing and Progress Reports	NVC Filers - July 2014	There is no reason they tell you, it could be simply because they subject people with certain names which is frankly an awful practice in this age of technology.   This process is very inhumane to say the least. If you want to do AP than sure start on it when we file application and it can run in the background but their process freezes the whole application. My case was F2A and my priority dates have retrogressed now. Luckily I became citizen otherwise I was sure to loose the window that got opened in F2A category. Still I am dealing with much slower NVC which was much faster 6 months back.      I agree, with you they say that they do all the background work at USCIS and investigate but do they really and if so why in all that is good do they have to put people in AP unless USCIS messed up if not there is no reason to put people in AP. The USPS attempted delivery yesterday, but with it being the 4th, the NVC was shut. So now will they try to deliver again today or tomorrow, or will it be sent back to me? This is getting ridiculous. :/      When you send it USPS the form you fill out has a little box you can check for NO Saturday delivery.  It's best to check it since they wont receive it on Saturday anyway.  They'll redeliver don't worry. And people kept saying Nvc is nothin like Uscis and I was looking forward to it. And now when we come here it's becoming the same hell hole. So please stop calling urself unlucky and complaining. There are much worst cases around here. If anybody is unlucky I think it's us. We faced delays at both places. '7' month approvals I think were the LUCKIEST with us June filers.     I agree 100% I'm tired and offended at people that only spent from 22 days to two months at USCIS crying because they may have to spend an extra 30 days waiting they are totally insensitive!  I have thought of not coming to the thread but seem to be obbsessed afraid I might miss some important information.  It's just sickening and I want someone in immigration to explain to us how this can happen or are they favoring some?  I'm pissed and I just wont hide it, I have the right to express my feelings. I see people on this forum that already have case complete with NVC even though their initial filing was more than two months after mine, all because they were sent to the CSC while our case went to TSC... and I actually live in California... The CO actually said within 2 weeks. I just cofirmed with my mother. She told me that she asked the CO twice whether he meant 20 or 15 days and he said within 15 days so ...... They have no business doing that unless they question the authenticity of the passport. Either way, the applicant has no choice but to accept, wait, and wait some more.         Oh I had no clue about that I know that in Egypt they return the passport at the interview if they aren't going to send the Visa soon.  I don't understand why they give them so much power. I have read stories here on VJ where everything goes fine even the interview is approved but the people dont get their passports for 3-6 months. In those cases they get 221g letter (i guess thats what its called) where they tell them that they need to do futher processing. In my parents cases they didnt give them anything so ...... it seems like a good sign and the fact that CO himself said that both the passports and visa will be issued within 20 days.   Did you by any chance check the visa status after the interview? Looks like noone is getting anything for the IV invoice....      No when I called and asked Kendra who wasn't nice or mean just a blob,  but did manage to laugh at a tiny mistake I made in my wording told me I have to wait at least another week, week and a half for the IV fee to come due.          I wish I could stand outside and just let a whole lot of expletives flow out of my mouth, the F word would be frequent and often. Seriously! They told my friend the Petitioner that NVC cannot talk to the Petitioner only beneficiary. This after being on hold endlessly to hear this. So I say call back so they did this morning only to find out that their petition that was approved over a month ago just got their Monday and to wait another month for case#.   Now I am seeing people get case# and still waiting weeks and weeks to be invoiced.   NVC has now become USCIS.
